The thing is with bikes like this, you can totally own them. Its not the bike commanding you what you can and should do, you can fully tell the bike everything and anything you want and it will never talk back. How many times I have seen guys on big bikes hitting some unexpected road and say: "I would need a 300cc on this road" The question is time, if you need 100mph because you plan trips far away so you want highway to get there, than pick a big one and forget hard terrains (which will come actually), than you have to turn around. Or you plan your time as well, so you are able to get there no matter what. I found the second option more suitable for me. Great bike mate! Thanks for the feelings you have!
I’ve had mine for 2 weeks and I love it. I’ve had several bikes over the years. The little GS is awesome. I’ll keep mine forever. For cruising around country roads and backroad adventures it’s really good. I don’t go on the freeway with mine. The back roads are more enjoyable anyway. And it’ll blast you up to 60 quick enough. The build quality on mine is very good. India is making some nice bikes right now. That RE Scram 411 looks pretty sweet.
Hello sir! Great comment! I will take my bike license soon and I would like to buy this beautiful bike, but I think I am going to have a slight problem...my height is 1.90 m with 90 kg...Do you think it will suit a guy like me?
I love mine man!! The complaints I’ll see are hilarious, not enough power is the most common… lol. This is a casual riding bike, if you want power go buy a 1000 and best of luck not flying off!
@@ADVLARRY that’s awesome to hear! Says a lot when you have made this your bike of choice. I’m now one of those people who either buys a BMW or doesn’t buy at all!
@bena3341 I need the r18 with hard side Saddle's, but I've never been on motorcycle in my life so I need to be a man and learn on a powerful motorcycle.
Great review of the mods to your G310 GS...I just bought a 2021 Black/yellow one. At 68 years old, it's the smallest, and maybe the most fun bike I have owned to-date. I have owned an R100 GS/PD, R1100 GS, and currently a 2013 R1200 GS. The full sized ones are great do-everything bikes, but the 310 is the one I can play with and not worry about not being able to pick up and the end of a narrow trail. It has added a new dimension to my cycling life, at a time when I was starting to think about how much more I was going to ride...this bike is so much fun!!Thanks for your video, I now have lots of ideas as to how to make mine better for me!
Planning on riding again after 20 years and this is the bike I'm planning on buying. Yours is a beast, especially the crash bar, really thickens out the bike nicely. Lovely whip mate. Got yourself a new subscriber from 🇦🇺
Thanks for the tour of your G310GS accessories and upgrades. Those videos are very helpful when deciding which upgrades to do. I need to make a similar video for my baby GS. These are great little bikes for my old man adventures. I rode small displacement dual sport thumpers since the mid 1970s. I bought a 2019 G310GS for my 60th birthday because I wanted something lightweight but a little more comfortable because I'm no longer riding gnarlier off road. I want to ride back roads, gravel roads, dirt roads and some mild off road and the G310GS is nearly perfect for that. I'd like tubeless spoke wheels but wouldn't trade the tubeless alloy wheels for spoke wheels that require tubes (as the new KTM 390 Adventure did), but for my tamer adventures, the alloy rims are fine. Similarly, better suspension would be nice but the stock soft suspension is very comfortable on the road and is adequate for my mild off road riding. What I *REALLY* want is a much larger fuel tank. An adventure bike should have a 300+ mile range. Sadly, there is no aftermarket tank to increase the range. Carrying fuel bladders is a poor substitute for a long range fuel tank. If you don't want to look like a shill for SRC, maybe don't wear their T-shirt in the video. 😛
Congrats on the new bike. I think it’s a great bike for the tamer adventurer. But I definitely put it through its pieces. I run lower air pressure with the alloy wheels and yet to have any issues. I actually don’t mind the smaller tank it helps me to take more frequent breaks to keep the legs and back and check. Lol. Src is a great company. Happy to wear the shirt but didn’t want people to think I was getting something out of this video. Good luck with the upgrades. Keep me updated on the new ride!
Wow fantastic setup. This video is exactly what I needed. Thank you for the content keep up the great work. I hope to see more from you as this would be the exact setup I would be looking at to get into adventure riding.
Wait a minute! That much garage room?! Your drum kit there too?! This is my garage dream! So different space wise here in the UK. Like that bike, maybe a 2nd after my Bonnie 👍🏼
Muchas felicidades. Excellent description and it looks spectacular. Mine has some accessories, but undoubtedly the quality of the accessories that you are putting on it looks of great quality and makes it look very pretty, but above all, very durable. The problem in Mexico is that there are no good accessories, some I had to buy on eBay and it took me up to seven months for them to arrive. Congratulations.
Wow !! I thought GS 310 was only available in Indian/asian markets !! I also have one. I got this video in my recommendations . It was helpful buddy. Greetings from Kerala, India 🙏
Thanks for your detailed review and explanation..better video ive seen for accessories on that bike. Definitely will be getting the SRC headlight guard. Nice garage setup too!
@@ADVLARRY I went the cheapest route. I wanted to eliminate the fork dive under braking, and re-spring for my weight and gear (I'm over 250 with my riding gear on). I went with Hyperpro progressive springs front and rear. Original shock in the back and heavier fork oil.
This thing is so clean, the crash bars look sick. Im between this and the ktm 390 adventure right now. Ive been watching every youtube video out there lol. Great video, man. Got my sub, thanks!
That’s my struggle. The same two bikes. I have a crf250l and concerned the bmw will be too closely matched being close the the same cc. The bmw looks way better and for some reason have concerns of ktm being reliable.
Thanks, the 310GS is what it is. I’m currently on a 1250GSA. Running the same tires, Bridgestone Adventure Cross tires. The Bridgestone tires are very good on road and off road. I can confidently run down the highway at 80mph . I had a 2019 310GS previously, at the same time owned an F800GSA, I actually enjoyed swapping back and forth on both motos. You are correct, with proper tires, pegs and bar risers, the 310GS is a good adventure Moto.
I’ve now switched too the motoz which i really like. And also have a 850gs. It’s definitely nice to switch to that for a longer rides. The 310 on the highway is rough. Thanks for watching.
Lovely vid that…this bike is in my buy list and am looking at reviews…yours sheds a lot of information, thanks! One issue almost many of them point out is the bad exhaust note and how it affects long drives…can’t keep listening to it…so it would have been great if you could have started the bike to show how it sounds with the exhaust you have…
❤❤❤Great review you really took that bike to the next ultimate level. I have the same one in stock form I upgraded the original muffler to a titanium one from Italy an amazing fun bike.❤❤❤
Larry great video. Thank you for tips and Product references, I’m getting my to put on back on my semi. I like your attitude about bike like you said no bike is perfect. Wish you the best and happy riding.

17:55 dude 😂 i laughed with you man. love what you've done to the bike. that carbon fibre though 👊 bmer need to up their game...you transformed their bike to beast mode! i rode one today, definitely buying the bike. as for stock here downunder...its bad. shockingly bad. onto plan b now which means i can't start as planned(yesterday) aha I'm going to check out all your links...see if they ship over yonda. craftsmanship left the building long ago...thats why when you come across it, like you have, you definitely do appreciate it, ay imma get out a bit and see if I can hunt down a decent workshop that takes pride in their work . (few and far between) was really thinking hard about the tyres...planning on both road and bush, so i may hit the highway until I wear her to 1000 klm before i hit bush, where i will definitely be needing them - we have tyres at least here still 🤦♂️ your thoughts on heated handle grips? the bmer salesrep rides a company bike and he mentioned they help cause you don't need thicker gloves, which was appealing as I'd prefer thinner gloves. ...but at close to $1k oem might be able to buy some awesome gloves that ride the bike for you 🤣 👊
Those tires were great but currently using the motoz adventure tire. And I love them even more then the battle axes. I did the heated grip kit myself. Saved me a few hundred dollars. But definitely worth having if your driving in cold weather like I do.
Sheep harder, I'm heading to AU, soon to start a full country ride all over. I thought yall had some killer adventure bike shops over there? I'm also getting the heat grips. Let me know if you want me to bring you some mods from the states, and my "brother" over there, he is the best fabricator and builder...so I can hook u you up....Great job Larry...love it..

Up in the mountains so we up here have been hunkered down since 2020 like all else. But we stock up naturally,, living up here.. Heck here on the West coast I can't even check out the CRF300L Rally, which was my other narrowed down option. It's going to be crazy, wrong time to travel people are saying, but it's the right time for me...no better, I'm renting out the house, and selling a vehicle, and FOMO is alive and well...I plan on camping a lot, and just taking my time..fuel will be the most I'm sure..
Excellent video, love your shop and especially your drum set...lol..I didn't catch the year but if anyone with a 2021 I know Deron did a ABS switch on his. LARRY You rock, and exactly what I needed to see as I'm debating on used or 2022, now that they fixed the other issues. I'm getting ready for a Rtw trip solo, and I sure hope SRC makes u an embassador now!!!
Thank you!! Garage is coming together. Still some changes to come. I am definitely doing the abs switch too. Super annoying. What did they change on the newer years. I haven’t heard anything.
Used to ride 1200gs but due to age and physical problems, i think 310gs is the best option now. I still wanna ride 😁 so this is the best since its bmw😆
Larry mentioned in the video that the G310GS is a good entry to the larger ADV bikes and that's exactly how motorcycle manufacturers, not just BMW Motorrad, treat their smaller ADV bikes. They intentionally de-feature them, not just to meet a lower price point, but to prevent these lighter and more off road capable ADV bikes from cutting into the sales of their mid and full size ADV bikes that cost 2-4 times as much. BMW could spend another $400 on a larger fuel tank, tubeless spoke rims and upgraded suspension to make the G310GS Adventure, and I'd spend another $2000 for it. I bought my 2019 G310GS as a 60th birthday present for myself. I rode it to the local Beemer breakfast and a 71 year old retired lawyer was mooning over it so I tossed him the key and he took it for a test ride. The next week, he rode his new G310GS to breakfast. BMW Motorrad marketing sees the G310GS as an entry level first bike to get new customers on the upgrade path to an 850GS and 1300GS, but they're completely ignoring the people of all ages who prefer lighter bikes for off road use, and the older riders who need to downsize to keep riding. The marketing weasels want to sell a young person their first bike. They aren't interested in selling older riders their last bike, even though older riders typically have more disposable income and would be willing to pay a lot more to get a lightweight full featured ADV bike.
I'd add a front fender extrnder to keep mud+water off the engine. And I'd check the rear to ensure that's not throwing mud+water into the engine/shock area. Looks like a great all arounder. I read the gas mileage is excellent too. 80-90mpg.
I have a 2018 GS 310 with many of the same mods. I have about 8,000 miles on the bike. Limitations of the 310 are felt at the extremes: (1) squirrelly and underpowered on the interstate; (2) not enough low end torque in first gear and too bulky for single track. All in between, you have a versatile motorcycle that will do everything that you want an adventure bike to do.
Nice bike! I hate when people try and compare massive bikes to smaller bikes. They’re two different animals. Someone’s size has a lot to do with choosing bikes too. I myself am 6’5” and 270 pounds so I have to have a larger bike. But we’re looking for my wife that wants to ride and has never ridden before. We’re thinking about this one for her.
Thx for the tip on the Atlas Throttle lock, think I’ll put one on my Vstrom Nice setup you have there. Something to be said for a lighter machine, I’m considering selling my Suzuki and shedding a few pounds with a lighter bike Cheers
I’m in the market for my first bike. Thinking about the CB500x…but for a thousand cheaper, I like this more just because of the weight. Please do a follow up concerning reliability maintenance and such.
I’m in the same situation; the CB500X’s versatility and all round performance is extremely appealing but I prefer the way the 310 looks and it’s lightweight.
I’m like you on that. I grew up on a Varadero 125. And loved the weight. About the same weight on this one. Just perfect for gnarly off-road where I think the bigger bikes are too heavy. I think it’s a good compromise 👌🏽
i have the GS and i have been doing mostly long road trips and a little bit of "light" off road and i am thinking of switching to cb 500x; the gs is fine up to 100 km/h but anything above for longer periods of time is not so great (also fuel eceonomy goes out of the window above 100)
@@dashuntas.m4045 You are not saving much on weight (maybe 40lbs) but, you are losing a lot on power. Also, GS suspension is way softer than X. Neither bike is good fit for hard off-road but, X is way better for regular road. If you are gonna be riding below 70mpg, GS is fine. If you are looking a lot of time on dirt, check crf300l (rally). First bike is sacrifice bike though. Get something you won't feel bad trashing because you will likely drop it few times. Everybody does.
@@oknevals the Crf300L Rally is really interesting but it’s more off road focused than either the X or 310. The 40lbs is significant to me although you’re right about the lack of power, the GS can be great off-road especially with the right mods. I just wish It had a bigger tank for long distance. The X is a better all round bike for sure though but the 310s lighter weight and looks >>.
I went ahead and picked up a new 310, in the Kalamata color. Loving it so far, got some protection parts coming already, mostly SRC and SW-Motech. I was curious if you've decided to try the 17T front sprocket. For the type of riding I'll be doing most of the time it should be beneficial. Loving the content, keep em coming.
I actually purchased both the 15 and the 17. I haven’t yet tried the 17 cause I’m using it more for off-road. But I can say the 15 does feel much better. To be honest if I ever do a long trip on the 310 again I’d bring them both with me and do a quick switch on the side of the road if needs. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the new bike!
Nice review!! All of the mods look great and do the bike justice. I've been looking at this bike real close and also the Kawasaki Versys X-300. I keep wavering back and forth and haven't yet pulled the trigger. Aesthetically, the GS wins hand down IMO. I've owned sport bikes and cruisers in the past, but haven't been riding for about 5 years. I wanted something fun and playful, able to commute, and maybe some light trail riding. Has your opinion of the GS changed at all since the you made the video or are you still loving it? I saw your other video of the 850, also very nice looking!! Were you craving more power or just a different feel? Great job and keep em coming.
Hey, thanks for watching the video. I actually get this question a lot yes I’m still very in love with my 310. Basically the only reason I purchased the 850 was for longer faster traveling. the 310 just doesn’t cut it on the highway being stuck at 70 mph with a single cylinder thumper is a little rough. I’ve done it for 9 hours straight and some people say you can do it but I choose to just be more comfortable on the 850. that being said I tend to ride the 310 more than 850 daily. It’s just more fun too hope on and zip around town or go blasting through the woods. it is way more fun and easily controlled. Plenty of aftermarket parts are available and so far at 9000 miles I haven’t had any issues. I hope this helps.
@ADVLARRY so I've been getting more comfortable with the bike, but feel really bullied by the wind starting around 70mph, did putting the windshield on help you with highway riding?
@@tttrrbo it will help for sure. I’d even put an extension on as well. But I will say this. The 310 isn’t a highway bike. Keep to the backroads if you can. It will be way more Enjoyable.
I have done just about all the improvements you have to my 310gs, except the mirrors, throttle lock and windscreen, but thinking about the windscreen. How tall are you? I had a Puig screen on a previous bike and found it directed the air under the beak of my helmet so I am trying to avoid that again. I also have a R1200gsa and that is what I do my long trips on. I am in CT as well. Are you on New England Riders or Yankee Beemers? Great routes on NE Riders and great camping/rallies w/ Yankee Beemers.
Hi mimi, how does you compare to your gsa12?... am really keen to know... because am from gs12 and already sold them long time ago... thinking to buy this g310gs
Great videos! I have a rear shock lowering kit installed. Trying to remove the kit, but the kit will not come out when bolts are removed. Do you know if there are internal spacers installed that prevent the kit or shock from coming out?
Great video! I'm looking at getting the 310 GS, but I noticed in the dealership that my right heel hits the exhaust heat shield...did you have the same issue with the stock exhaust? And, if so, did it get better when you switched it out? I'm really surprised they put the exhaust pipe so close behind the right foot peg....
I actually did have the same problem but I’ve learned to plant my foot a little further forward. Also sw motech makes adjustable pegs. I think you can bring them forward an inch. Thanks for watching. Good luck with purchase lmk if you have any other questions.
@@ADVLARRY Cool, great to know…thank you! I asked the dealer to let me try on a motocross boot and if I scooted my foot forward a little I was in the clear. I bet with the boot and moving the peg I would be good. Thanks so much!
Thanks for a great overview Larry, nice bike! What stand are you using for the bike to stay vertical? I am looking for a stand that works with SRC setup like yours. Thanks!

Awesome mate, good looking bike. Have the same crash bars and they're perfect for strapping little bags to. Won't be going as far as you but still have a few more mods to do. ps. Is that your leasure suit in the background.
Great setup. I also ride 310gs. Love it so far. I love what you've done with it, but kind of hesitant to do the same. Feel like maybe it's better to upgrade to 850gs and then spend all the money on upgrades. Cause it makes sense to spend 1-2 grand on extras on the bike that cost $20K, but doing the same to the bike that is tops $4-5K... But love all the extras
Like people doing the rally raid upgrades on the cb500x ends up soon costing more and weighing more than a T700. And is still a being low powered road based bike with poor ground clearance and normal way up forks
@@chrishart8548 Yes. So, my plan is to favor upgrades that I can take off and put it on my next bike. Saddle bags, lights, etc. can be fairly universal.
To each their own, he said he is practically his daily rider, and he's super smart in investing in his great new bike. Doesn't matter the cost or size engine, you buy the mods you can and make it more individualized. I'm going to do 90% of what he did, but I will also add the GPS bracket, going with the Montana I. And bags, as I'm taking her RTW. And some would say why buy a more expensive bigger bike, and add all the extras? For that much it should of came with them...lol..even my 1200Custom HD has mods just for me lol..
@@ADVLARRY Wind screen, Skid plate, headlamp & radiator guards. I'm picking it up this Friday, but these are the initial aftermarket parts I wanted to start with. Thanks!
Hi @ADV Larry, big fan of your g310 gs (got myself one as well). On the 2 inch bar risers: did you had any issues with the length of the cables to the controls ? limiting handlebars movement ?
You look to be a similar build to myself, how do these hold up with us bigger fellers? I love these things, been wanting a second bike for light travel but the offroad capability. Like for most 55-65mph roads, but in the mountains mainly think it'll hold up? Really considering one, and the full Rally raid getup to go with it.
Hi Larry, for the rox 2" risers, did you have to do a lot of re-routing of the cables or just remove couple of tabs that they are currently attached to?
If you position the bars just right you don’t have to do anything. I just played with it until if felt right for me and the bike. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.
Hi Larry, really like your bike. Ive been considering buying a g310gs. What made you choose this one over other brands in this class? Ive watched several of your videos and value your opinion.
Mainly cause BMW has a great reputation for adventure bikes. The 310 finds a good middle ground between nimble woods romper and adventure traveler. The price of good too. Especially something used. Another bike to take a good look at is the CB 500X What kind of riding do you want to do?
@@ADVLARRY I will be riding a lot of roads like you do. Forest service roads, gravel, paved back roads and highways, and lots of moto camping in the mountains in East Tennessee. No interstate riding. The 3 bikes I'm looking at are the BMW, Versys 300 and the cb500. Do they still make the Honda? Its impossible to find one new around here. I hate the tubed tires on the versys, so the BMW seemed like the best fit. I will be riding alone and need a reliable bike and be able to plug a tire if need be. I appreciate you taking the time to respond to a stranger. You made some great videos. Thank you.
@@Tennessee968 I think they changed the name of the cb500x. But it sounds like the 310 would do you well. Keep in touch. I ride that down that way once in a while.
Hey, follow-up question - what kind of luggage rack do you have for them? I'm having trouble finding a good rack, there are a few good bags available, but all soft ones need some sort of rack to keep them away from the muffler/tire/etc.
Ciao Larry. Grazie. Saluti.
I’m in nyc and am looking for a bike that can handle the horrible city roads as well as some light trails. This seems too perfect! Thanks for the great info!
Hi Larry. It’s me again… can you tell me where did you find the Akrapovic heat shield??? I have the same exhaust, and just now I burned my pants 🤦🏻♂️ Thank you so much for your videos 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Good job. Don't worry about what people say about the 310 -- and you've done a nice job with the upgrades. This bike is capable enough off-road. I recently rented one in south America and did more off-road miles in 10 days than most 1250gs owners will ever see in 5 years. I found your video because after my experience with the rental I'm considering buying one for myself and looking for ideas. BTW, what are you using for pannier/luggage system? This seems to be one of the things I'm having a hard time finding for the 310.
Thanks man. I love my 310! I’m using the reckless 80 by Mosko Moto. It works amazing. Check out my 7 day camp pack video. I pack it up and mount it at the end.
Can I ask you how it feels around 75 to 80 mph cruising on open road? I have a guy wanting to sell me a 23 WTH many of the add ons you have for 5 k. The bike has 113 miles on it. I am thinking of pulling the trigger. Does it have any pull if you need to pass at freeway speed? Thanks great vid.
Hello! I am about to get my motorcycle licence in a while and if I ll get a bike this would definitely be the BMW GS310! I have neither a motorcycle nor a car and I cannot get both for now. What do you think? Also, is this motorcycle ideal for commuting in long distances (100 kilometres)?
That’s hard to say. obviously a car can carry more people and keep you dry if it rains. The 310 would be better on gas and more fun. I’m not sure if you’re going to need it for getting groceries or any other big items but that could cause another negative for the bike. That being said 100 km is quite the journey. It would probably take you about an hour and a half on the 310…. again I don’t know what your terrain is like or your personal circumstances. But. If you’re a single man. Looking for something a bit more fun to commute on and can deal with a little rain, I’d say go for the bike!!!
This is so far the best BMW gs310 modification i have seen so far
The thing is with bikes like this, you can totally own them. Its not the bike commanding you what you can and should do, you can fully tell the bike everything and anything you want and it will never talk back.
How many times I have seen guys on big bikes hitting some unexpected road and say: "I would need a 300cc on this road"
The question is time, if you need 100mph because you plan trips far away so you want highway to get there, than pick a big one and forget hard terrains (which will come actually), than you have to turn around.
Or you plan your time as well, so you are able to get there no matter what.
I found the second option more suitable for me.
Great bike mate!
Thanks for the feelings you have!
I agree. That’s why I went with both! Haha. Thanks for watching.
This is by far the most beautiful 310 GS I have seen
the crash bars make a world of difference. looks like a true GS bike now. definitely stealing that setup when i get mine.
Src definitely makes the best ones so far
This bike is growing and growing on me , I was always a sport bike head but damn this bike looks AMAZING
Awesome setup! This is exactly how I'd want mine to look like! Thanks for elaborating on the mods you did, now I know where to start!
Thanks for watching! Any questions feel free to ask.
I’m so in love with mine. The 850 definitely gets jealous cause I still ride the 310 more hahaha. Thanks for watching brother.
@@ADVLARRY that’s awesome to hear! Says a lot when you have made this your bike of choice. I’m now one of those people who either buys a BMW or doesn’t buy at all!

Happy I could help. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the new bike!!!
Planning on riding again after 20 years and this is the bike I'm planning on buying. Yours is a beast, especially the crash bar, really thickens out the bike nicely. Lovely whip mate. Got yourself a new subscriber from 🇦🇺
That’s awesome. Thanks for watching. New video coming soon.
@@ADVLARRY did you ever change the front sprocket?
@@kettell5 I did. I went down to the 15. Really love it.
Keep me updated on the new ride!
just bought the 2022 310 gs this morning... it's my first bike, looking to adventure! good info on the aftermarket bits!
Great video bud 👍
Wow fantastic setup. This video is exactly what I needed. Thank you for the content keep up the great work. I hope to see more from you as this would be the exact setup I would be looking at to get into adventure riding.
Wait a minute! That much garage room?! Your drum kit there too?! This is my garage dream! So different space wise here in the UK. Like that bike, maybe a 2nd after my Bonnie 👍🏼
I’ve slowly evolved my garage. It’s even better now. It’s actually my basement too so it’s the whole footprint of the house. Love my garage!!

Nice bike! I bought my 2018 brand new. Love it! I also did a lot of similar mods, along with re-gearing and suspension improvements. Enjoy it!
What suspension upgrade did you go with?
@@ADVLARRY I went the cheapest route. I wanted to eliminate the fork dive under braking, and re-spring for my weight and gear (I'm over 250 with my riding gear on). I went with Hyperpro progressive springs front and rear. Original shock in the back and heavier fork oil.
This thing is so clean, the crash bars look sick. Im between this and the ktm 390 adventure right now. Ive been watching every youtube video out there lol. Great video, man. Got my sub, thanks!
That’s a tough choice. I can’t say much about the ktm but I will say the gs looks way better. Hahaha. Thanks for the Sub!! Lmk what you go with.
That’s my struggle. The same two bikes. I have a crf250l and concerned the bmw will be too closely matched being close the the same cc. The bmw looks way better and for some reason have concerns of ktm being reliable.
What did you end up buying?

Lovely vid that…this bike is in my buy list and am looking at reviews…yours sheds a lot of information, thanks! your thoughts on heated handle grips? the bmer salesrep rides a company bike and he mentioned they help cause you don't need thicker gloves, which was appealing as I'd prefer thinner gloves. ...but at close to $1k oem might be able to buy some awesome gloves that ride the bike for you 🤣

There are lots of mixed reviews about this bike, but i really like this bike. I am going to buy this , eyes closed.
Do it. I’ve had tons of fun with it.
A lot of people are unaware of Indian's manufacturing the engines for Mercs, BMW and Rolls Royce too :)
Perfect for the MA BDR. Great job on the upgrades!
I'd add a front fender extrnder to keep mud+water off the engine. And I'd check the rear to ensure that's not throwing mud+water into the engine/shock area. Looks like a great all arounder. I read the gas mileage is excellent too. 80-90mpg.
BMW Motorrad claims the G310GS gets 71 MPG. It probably does, but I ride mine like a hoon and get 62-65 MPG.
What a helpful video! Lots of great information and your personal comments were very helpful. Thanks for posting! 😎
Try changing the front sprocket to a 15t. It helps a lot.
Love the way your bike looks! Just got my baby g last night, where did you get your duck bill protector?
I found it on eBay. Just search 310 gs fender guard beak extension. You should be able to find something similar. Mine is coming up unavailable
@@rogercook4224 it’s a great bike for smaller people. I also ride a 850gs but it’s definitely harder to ride through difficult sections. Good luck.

Beautiful bike mate
Thx for the tip on the Atlas Throttle lock, think I’ll put one on my Vstrom
Nice setup you have there.
Something to be said for a lighter machine, I’m considering selling my Suzuki and shedding a few pounds with a lighter bike
Cheers
Awesome, no longer a baby GS

Hi Larry. Would you mind telling me the brand of the tank pads installed on your G310GS ? They look awesome.
Night Cat. I actually got them from Amazon. I really like them a lot.
The bike looks amazing. I just bought one as my first bike on Friday, lots of awesome mods and information. Great video man.
Thanks I’ve been slacking on the new content. Enjoy the new bike. Lmk if you have any questions.
It will be way more

I have done just about all the improvements you have to my 310gs, except the mirrors, throttle lock and windscreen, but thinking about the windscreen. How tall are you? Hey!! Can you help me with the brand and size of the tires….
Or do both. Haha. But your right. It seems like a bad investment but I ride it a lot so it makes sense for me.
So far so good. No issues at about 9,000 miles.
these look great. I wish i had ordered from SRC. I ordered from T-rex and it has been nothing but problems so far.
That’s a bummer. The Trex seems like a simple design. I’m surprised they have issues.
I have the t-rex bash plate and crash bars on my 2018...no issues so far. What problems did you have?
How much weight did you add total? Thats a heavy bike to start with. Curious. It looks good.
Did you just call the 310 heavy?? Lol.
I’m not sure but that’s a great idea. I’ll work on getting this thing scaled and get back to you.
@@ADVLARRY thx
Hi Larry, really like your bike. Ive been considering buying a g310gs. What made you choose this one over other brands in this class? Ive watched several of your videos and value your opinion.
Mainly cause BMW has a great reputation for adventure bikes. The 310 finds a good middle ground between nimble woods romper and adventure traveler.
The price of good too. Especially something used.
Another bike to take a good look at is the CB 500X
What kind of riding do you want to do?

That definitely sounds like a job for the 310. And you’ll look good doin it.
Hi Larry. It’s me again… can you tell me where did you find the Akrapovic heat shield??? I have the same exhaust, and just now I burned my pants 🤦🏻♂️
Thank you so much for your videos 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Haha. I got mine from revzilla. They may be out of stock tho.

Amazing video !! i have the same motocycle model 2018 what tyres are you proposing for on off road ?

Currently I’m using the battle axe. Which have been amazing. Great off road tire that I used on road too.
Stunning! My dream bike! 😮😍😍
Its a great first bike. Im absolutely loving mine!
Looks stunning. But thats alot of Upgrades. Probably could have bought a GS 750 for that Money. But great job 👍
I have the 850 as well. the 310 is way more fun.
@@ADVLARRY nice . I Drive a cbr650r now and search for a Second light Bike . Gs310 or crf300l Not Sure yet
Looks like you can do a lot with the 310! What year is your bike? Did you buy new or used? TIA - ps subscribed
It’s a 21. I purchased it brand new from Max BMW.
@@ADVLARRY Looks like a great first bike for me with the mods you reviewed.
Nice video! How did you connect the Quad Lock wireless charger to the auxiliary ports since its an USB cable? Do you need an adapter?
I installed the USB port from bmw. I have a video on how to do that. Super easy.
Thanks man! I'll watch it! @@ADVLARRY
@@stefanjanata2135 anytime!
Thank you so much
Are those the Bridgestone AX41? Do you like them?
Does the front wheel fender get stopped with mud?
Whats the difference in the 310 and the 310 rally ? Does it have a bigger tank ? subscribed and liked
Just the stickers. Lol. Thanks for joining.
And I think I’m the only one with a red frame as well
@@UserConn 75-80 is topped out. Maybe a little bit more but definitely not a highway bike.
Looks like this bike brings up a lot of "ermmm" and "uhmmmm" when you're talking about it. LOL. Nice setup !
I’ve gotten better at editing them out! Hahahaha
Hi. I've purchased the same 310 GS (same colors too!!). Wich brand of crash-bars do you recommend? Thanks and greetings from Spain

Sick bike man!
I like this brand too. SRC is Cool
