Great video. I got my 310gs about 2 months ago and I’m glad I got it. Like you said, it does everything I need it to do. I’m 65 and it’s my first bike since I was a kid and it fits perfectly. I’m 5’9", 180lbs and I like the seating position upright like it is instead of the lean forward aggressive position street bikes have. I’m not off-roading or touring, just something to cruise around on. Nice feeling to know it’ll handle whatever road I find myself on but so far it’s been all paved. As rpm’s go I baby it pretty much. I get up through the gears and ride in 4th in the 30’s mph and 5th in the 40’s/ 50’s. No interstate riding so I don’t know if I’ve even put it in 6th gear yet. Lol. You have good content and like what you’re doing.
Glad to hear that you are enjoying with your 310GS Mike! I am also considering buying it. I am 6'2'' and 230lbs. Do you think it will fit me? Ride safe. :)
Thanks for the review. I own the 2023 G310 GS with the same windshield. I agree with you, in that after I figured out to inflate the metzeler tyres to 30 PSI are wonderful and grip fantastic in all conditions except deep sand. At factory recommended inflation, the metzeler tyres roll/skip on the tar in hard turns. Looking forward to your future reviews.
I just replace the front sprocket to 17T after my last long distant trip. I bought the 310GS used with low mileage down sizing from those bigger bike. This bike is very much lighter for my age. The maintenance is simple and easy, I do all my Beemer myself. This is my 4th BMW it is just as fun, compared to its bigger siblings.
@@advbrain9967 I got mine online, on Shopee it’s from RK Thailand. Just did a quick 400 km round trip two days ago. The difference is small but does improve on the vibe. I kept the original 16T just incase I needed it.
...so many say this is a "entry level/beginner bike" ...I have it for a "exit level bike" ...have a 2016 RT 1200 for my long trips....at 67 years old....that RT will go away at some point and the 310 will stay
Awesome ride man 😃 im at 7,000 miles on mine play around with the gearing for off road I normally use 15t gives you more low end grunt more acceleration more fun 😁
Seems like a good all-around bike 😊 i think you meant to say: you won't pass a semi going 75mph in 2 secs. It seems comparable to the Honda 350s of the 70s. It's a reasonable bike.
Not sure if this interests you but the gs models are "adventure" or "rallye" inspired bikes. Alot of reviewers take them offroad. 🤷♂️ could be a fun watch.
Im interested in some of your mods. The wind screen, hand guards and engine guards. What brands did you use? Some people complain that their bark busters touch the wind screen. Great looking bike you have.
Great question! sorry it took me so long to get to your comment. Please stay tuned as I’ll be doing a full walk around plus links to all my mods on this bike!
Haha yeah I was going a little to fast but as far as vibrations. I do get vibration and yes my mirrors do get a bit fuzzy at higher speeds. Unfortunately with the single cylinder motor it is what it is. I don’t mention it probably because I’m just used to it now hahaha
@@advbrain9967this! very true. Had a ktm duke 390 1 cyl. AND the mirrors was goin ham often. could be worse on the gs to be fair. Its normal for a 1 cyl to use more rpms, than a 2 cyl for instance. So very true

Yes the bike is very easy to maintain. Where did you get your sprocket?

I know, a lot say that. This bike is so much more than entry level it’s great for every skill level and every terrain!
Same here, 1200 gs, and now this for just fun riding…will turn 68 in Jan…

Thanks for the advice I’ll look into that and try it out
What small side oval pannier racks do you have? Thinking about adding to my G310GS
Thanks for the 2:51 intro............. My American microwave/fastfood patience did not allow me to partake in review, however.

I do have one video of that. But you are right, I need more like that because of the off-road audience surrounding this bike. Thank you!
@advbrain9967 cool. Ill take a look. 👌

Hmmm I’m not sure, I haven’t done any thing to prevent it.. are you talking about the black plastic that the license plate attaches to?
