This weapon called Fire Knight's Greatsword, which works great with Strength Builds, has a unique property that COMPLETELY BREAKS the game's core mechanics of combat, make it UNFAIRLY STRONG. God i made the right decision to seek out that sword first chance I got a good farming spot for it XD. It’s a happy accident that it turned out to have true combo nonsense on top of being cool looking

In defense of the "quitter crew" who bombed the steamrating of Eldenring.
While I am fully able to advance through the "Scadu dimension", I must admit the overpoweredness of even scrub-enemies damage is very tiring. 🥱

@@nikkemman9286 Yeah scatter shot is broken. Swift slash on backhand sword is the most broken ash ever invented atm though. Steel just tried to find a counter for an hour and nothing works. The only thing that beat me WAS scatter shot though after 7 hours. I stopped using it because it was so broken, wasnt fun. Pulled it out against scatter shot and the blind whatever ash that comes on the backhand sword. I thought this was completely broken after using it last night then this morning i find out it can be charged.. WTF no way. It'll be patched in a day or two i bet.
@@LawfulBased Seen so many people justify it like that when it was made EXPLICITYLY CLEAR how the DLC would scale, that it would be difficult, and that you can tailor it yourself. You can literally get to +5 blessing within the first 30 minutes of starting the DLC without any bosses, and practically no combat, dealing 20% more and taking 20% less. If you're at SL150, with a +/-20% buff, and you're getting taken out by the basic, common enemies that die in 1 hit and have slow attacks? Sorry, but that's 100% skill issue.

Just completed the DLC this morning! A tip for anyone still on their way, rolling into boss attacks is MUCH more advised, aside from finding the fragments across the map (Which you DEFINITELY should). Learning each combo one by one is very important, and can help you get locked in. Plus, eat your crab!
Im lvl 127 and Fragment lvl 4 at mesmer. Is it ok ?

YES! More people need to hear this. ESPECIALLY CRAB. I think a lot of people take issue with the rolling into boss attacks idea. When you've been doing it through 6 games, it's second nature, but for newcomers to the series, it's gonna take a second to get used to. My friend has been practicing her rolls against base game bosses and it's fun to see the improvement!

My DLC character was also named Griffith. I sacraficed my Fallen Hawk soldiers (greatshield) in order to defeat the final boss.

Monk fists are my favorite. Its default weapon skill lets you tank through a silly amount of punishment and does fun damage and sends folks flying. Basic attack and heavy attack combos very satifying. May not be the best weapon, but boi is it fun for alot of scenarios. The perfumes are another fav.
I love the perfumes, they do have their utility in both PvE and PvP too
I'm definitely gonna try out a madness build using the madness perfume

@@backslash4141 I think that would be a little nutty, although I understand where you're coming from. There's at least an AoW that does something very similar (with a meaner version of sleep) found on the Velvet Sword of St Trina. Found in Stone Coffin Fissure.

Nah, not into the ground, they're probably just going to remove the r1-r1 true combo and leave it as it is. The Godslayer GS doesn't have this problem.
It may take them another 2 1/2 yrs like our dear friend moonveil.

I was shredding everything at level 170 on ng+ 5 but dancing lion was very humbling.

Dude same, somehow I managed to beat bayle right when I started the dlc but he was stomping me for a good 3 hours.

Yeah, Level 170 in Base Game only translate to like Level 60 in the DLC world. Now picture yourself taking on New Game+ 5 at that level.

@@b.stankov3356 You can use Millicent's Prosthesis or the Prosthesis Wearer Heirloom with the 13 Dex the Vagabond starts with, never have to contemplate leveling Dex even once. But if you value your Talisman slots, then having to _level_ Dex is your only option, unfortunately... unless you decide to take this build to the lower levels with Radagon's Soreseal like a disgusting troll, of course.

Hope that the next dlc/sequel gives more characterization to Melina and explores more the "Frenzied flame lord" ending, it's actually disgusting how little of a character Melina actually is.

The mystery thingy is the Dryleaf Arts / Dane's Footwork (both have same stats, only difference is moveset)
Use it with messmers spear for + 1000 drip
And a good ranged option!

dancing blade with dancer's set + rotten winged sword insignia + thorny cracked tear = melting enemies
as a str/dex/fai build and as someone who fell in love with Godslayer sword in first sight, I love the fact that they made an even broker weapon

pare it with the smithscript dagger in your off hand and you can roll catch so very impossibly easy for practically a 3 hit true combo. do what you will with this information

For people looking to try it, it's important to note that only the first r1 out of neutral provides the hitstun required for the true combo. If you whiff the first r1 but hit the second, they will still be able to roll away
There are armor pieces that increase the damage of fire knight skills, so you can torque the damage of flame skewer even more. I wish i knew this weapons soon, i just finished the dlc today

greatsword of damnation is my fav pvp weapon so far. ash of war hits suprisingly often from peoples greed. better players obviously wont get caught by this but its still funny it works 80% of the time

The original finger is probably the most broken weapon in fromsoft history.
The only way to convey it to souls fans is imagine the chainsaw glitch in this game with the serpent hunter.
Now imagine that but as a official weapon that can lock on and weighs less than a dagger. That should give you some idea.

I started using this thing in invasions yesterday on my pure faith build on flame art, with flame skewer, it’s so fun!
I’ve got 2083 Ar in the shadow realm with the fire Physick, 90 fai, FGMS, and scadutree +10
The Black knight twinblades might be worth checking out too, like the fire knights greatsword it has built in element damage with holy damage while having the same R2 attack as the godskin peeler twinblade and can also be infused with different ashes of war.
Not just strength... but strength and faith, and a colossal Sword with great light attacks and... myfavorite... the Zweihander stab, was this made for me?
Beat the DLC today and the final boss made me rethink my life. So i go start a new run.

@@ThatSketchGuy000 No, you can just brute force the bosses. And when you're on a NG rush, the DLC isn't hard, so the initial Scadutree frags + the ones you pick up from progressing ultra linearly let you waltz through most of it.

That explains why that Invader got mentally stun locked when I shrugged it off with my 2400 HP. He wasn't expecting anyone to survive. I also had no idea it could 2 piece. I got really confused thinking I teleported back to Dark Souls 2 days. Lions Clawed him into another dimension.

They took 2 years to nerf the most nasty weapons in the game. I doubt they gonna nerf it, but I hope they do, because otherwise playing coop is gonna be a real pain in the ass.

I’ve been using it Bleed infused on my Arcane build. Braggart’s Roar and the Highland Axe and Roar Talisman.
167 bleed on hit, with 700 AR and a Heavy Attack that instant proc’s it.

Saw the whacky fire scaling. Legit outdamged my heavy scaled greatsword even accounting for rain debuff.
Found the weapon art from Kood. Became a beast against everything except Messmer.

DLC also has the best pve weapon with the bloodfiend arm. Has over 200 blood buildup on an arcane build, bleeds dlc bosses in 2 hits and perma staggers half of them.

I've been having a blast with the smithscript circae. It's nuts because all heavy attacks fire homing chackrams and it busts up the enemy ai, especially the player-esc ones

I got this weapon earlier today and was already reworking my entire build around it with the same Ash of War earlier today. They both really are that good.
