The EVIL Business of Elden Ring Runes Selling
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 4 мар 2024
- Elden Ring does NOT possess microtransactions. However, some shameful individuals took it upon themselves to come up with a business to scam new players by "selling" runes, items, weapons like Rivers of Blood, Moonveil and others... Wether you play PvE or PvP, you will agree that someone promoting a Rune Selling Site for Elden Ring is a SCAMMER. Ranni, the witch, tells you all about it.

Why have a fun challenge when you can over level yourself and win effortlessly
i respect a rune duper 100000x more then someone who buys 1 damn rune.
Same... EARN IT
It at least requires some technical know-how. Personally I respect the DSR method the most because it takes some precise inputs (not particularly hard but still) and even then it's less "duping" and more "tricking the game into thinking I used 999 Souls of a Lost Undead while in fact I only had 1 in my inventory"
I mean.... Why dupe when we can farm and even glicth certain items into existence with ease?
@@TheDoomsdayzoner with enough momentum duping can bring more results, not to mention that it can be useful for sharing things with friends without losing the thing yourself. For me personally duping is both more practical in certain cases and may on occasion elicit a sort of rewarding feeling. You know, like a friend wants a drop he's been farming for hours and still hasn't gotten so I drop him my copy and just reload my save. In effect the scammers do the same thing, they just charge you money for it.

Great job on calling out these websites. Their emails are always full of grammatical errors, so it's clear something's wrong. Then you look at the service they offer. It is essentially preying on your audience. Who knows what these websites are doing with your card details & other sensitive information. Even if you get your item it's not worth it.
Exactly
Oh mah god Elden Ring Abridged guy
@TheUndeadHumor
I once read something about those. It seems like the scams that include the errors are intended to be error filled. It ropes in the people that are less likely to double check stuff or think about the situation. Ignore spelling and grammatical errors? Likely to ignore other fishy stuff regarding the actual content of said (scam) emails.
I also heard that a "perfect" email, with well written grammar and few spelling mistakes, seems to set off the "fake" alert in a lot of people. Makes them think it's either fake, made by ai, or a scam. So, ironically, the errors themselves make a lot of people think "this couldn't be a scam!" or something like that. It's bizarre, it really is. But, I also understand it. I was once accused of being AI in a Discord server, because I wrote a relatively formal response with few grammatical and spelling errors. So... There definitely is a bit of feasibility when it comes to the idea that a "too well written" email could trigger some mental alarms.

Considering you can beat the game with the L2 button alone, I'd day FROM knows very well the market they cater to now
Personally, I also find this argument so funny: "Not everyone has time to invest hours in games."
If I don't have time, I don't play.
When I play, I play to play and not to finish.
I mean, what's the point of having the game if I don't want to play it?
I don't have much time myself (work, kids, family, friends) and sometimes I sit down to play just to grind 1-2 levels and then the day is over.
And?
Some people no longer treat games as something for entertainment, but rather as part of a to-do list.
Anyone who buys runes or weapons for real money because they "don't have the time" has not understood the purpose of games.
"The route is the goal."
Playing a game is the point.
To have it finished, the end.

But at the same time, I want to experience it. You have the shitty attitude that says, ''if you cannot do it all on your own then you have NO RIGHT to experience this game. This is a very ''Nazi''-like mentality. Do it my way or don't play it. WOW...just wow!
I honestly don’t get why people even farm runes, let alone buy them.
I always get enough just by fighting random minor bosses and gathering countless talismans, weapons, spells, and armor that I’ll never use (I grab them for the lore)
Sometimes I want to do bosses as an invocation so I farm between + I want to be able do use anything for the DLC so 60 in every stat is the way to go

I actually bought runes for 5€ to level up to 713 (the max level) but that was only after I already beaten the entire game several times (NG+ 9), done and collected everything the game has to offer multiple times like talismans, armor and weapons and was already at level 507 from playing the game and farming with a total play time of 430 hours. The reason I wanted to reach max level was because I'm a completionist and I just wanted to be max level but it was taking way too long farming and to not have to respec all the time and upload/download my save every time I tried a different weapon/build. I personally don't think I wasted money considering it was also only 5€ and not 200+ lol.

The way you are tearing down scammers like this and quoting Harry Potter you've stolen my heart. lol SUBSCRIBED!!!
I was legitimately faced with some smuck in a PS4 chat room who offered to give me some of those really large runes, like lords runes or something. Pretty well pushed for it for a solid minute even while I was basically saying no. I eventually said along the lines for them to get lost and they said “it’s your loss”. Despite my character being RL: 150 at the time and having beaten the game twice. (Never mentioned that to the guy but it didn’t need to be said anyway)
It just screamed scam all over. Despite it happening nearly a year and a half-life ago the video really helped bring that memory back lol.
I invaded 2 players "trading items" I ended up stealing 600 starlight shards and gold fowls foot. I bailed and they were IMMEDIATELY blowing up my messages saying how much money was spent to get those items and to return them 😂
Even for a casual player like me it only takes less than five hours to create a new character, get my weapon of choice for that playthrough and level them up to 150 and +25/+10 respectively. That also includes getting Mimic Tear and leveling it up to +10. To be fair I use wrong warps and rune farming glitches but I still prefer that over entering my CC info on those scam sites.
The only time I went searching for extra runes was on my 4th character and just wanted to speed up the leveling process, but the moment i saw someone CHARGING FOR RUNES I fucking died laughing in my chair thinking “how in the name of god are you gonna charge someone $20 for something they can gain in like 5 mins??” It’s the dumbest shit I’ve ever seen and yes while I did just say I was looking for free runes, I don’t agree in any way with people selling in game currency that you can get by just KILLING EVERYTHING YOU SEE.
I can’t fathom paying to make a game easier and skip gameplay. How can anyone be that pathetic?
What's worse, if you look up anything Elden Ring related on RUclips, there are legit ads for buying Runes. Like wtf!?
That's a youtube problem but youtube doesn't care
It's even taking over the sites that share steam keys from all over the world so you can get discounts. I'd assumed someone had made a scam game until I realised what it was... And became even more disgusted.
That's like booting up Mario 1 and paypaling $100USD to a random guy on the internet so he can run his TAS on your game to get you placed on top of the 8 warp pipe in 4-2
At least the $120 SoJ on Ebay was kinda hard to get back in 2001, even if you knew the trick
I work in a casino. That clip of slot players with the mention of microtransactions was sad but hilarious.
It takes 1 HOUR to get to the moghwyn palace on average for me. Spawn > Vare > Margit > Godrick > Table > Vare > Trilple Belfry for Maiden portal > Vare > 3 invasions > Vare > Mohgwyn Palace.
And if you dont have a large AOE attack like dragon breath or Wave of Gold for the albinaurics, you can shoot the bird with any bow/crossbow even if you cant use it.
Hoarfrost stomp is pretty good early game aoe until you get blasphemous blade or mohg's spear.
I swear, some people will go out of their way to get scammed and farmed
Honestly if people are this gullible and/or desperate they deserve to get scammed, especially when there are players that are completely willing to trade items or drop runes for *_free._*
Gamers: *buys runes to instantly reach max level*
The same gamers: "Why am I so bored playing Elden Ring?"
Everytime I reload youtube, there's a scam ad for this shit
The fact that people ACTUALLY PAY to get runes or items in Elden ring just makes me cringe on a WHOLE different level, and I havent even beaten the game yet.
From someone who is a Casual player: "git gud"
FINALLY a channel that calls them out! Now someone bring up all the damn sped up video guide!
Article 10 of the EULA even states that doing so is completely not allowed and can result in a permanent ban
