Minor Error at 4:15, there is actually a third weapon with innate arcane scaling that can be buffed, though again, it isn't as good as the ripple crescent halberd. It is significantly more amusing though, its Varre's Bouquet.

@@weskertambemjoga8261 I did a NG+7 run with that, it was pretty fun until the last few bosses. I think I pushed it over 1000AR with buffs.

@@mattBLACKpunk it is very much a feature a poor feature at that, in ds3 at least it didn't stagger etc, but here its pretty bad, a single unlucky madness or sleep buildup means you're dead with no real counterplay, hence why so many run dual sleep weapons or dual vykes etc.

stumbled on this channel a few weeks ago, came for the learning, stayed for the pet names.
Honestly even after hundreds of hours, multiple playthroughs and a platinum trophy I still had no idea what arcane did, until now.

Varré's bouquet is often forgotten as a buffable arcane weapon.
Mind you, the damage output is ass but it's the only weapon capable of inflicting both high bleed and high sleep at the same time.
And it probably yields the highest possible bleed build-up of any weapon in the game when buffed with blood grease.

The Ripple Halberd only gets impactful with the sleep grease. With blood grease the bleed buildup won't get as high as an occult Vulgar Militia Saw, the 2 hit poison is nice but but using the poisonous mist ash on any occult weapon (like that occult Militia Saw) will also give you the proc in 3 hits.
Occult vipers fangs do 149 deadly poison build up and I'm sure I've procced it in 2 hits before. That being said I guess that's technically 4 hits, plus it will obviously depend on your opponents immunity.

This is honestly a good video lesson to help understand how Arcane works. There are some who may believe it to be obvious, but it honestly helps to have a visual guide to show exactly what is going on.
Bonus: Dragon Incantations also scale with Arcane, if you build for Faith and Arcane you can get what I call the Blood Dragon, which destroys everything even in NG+ 7.
wrong, dragon incantations scale with the seal equipped, the only way to scale with arc is using the dragon communion seal, if you don't use it the spells will not scale with arc

Edit- I should clarify this is a PvE build utilizing the Dragon Communion Seal and Bloody Helice, since Arcane is a relevant stat to both.

Very nice vid i kinda didn't know how arcane worked since i'm more of a 'big weapon hit hard' type of player so i don't use status effects alot.
The mystery weapon is the glintstone kris. I don't really like it due to its scaling. When i used it i had some succes with it and a cold flamberge. def not a first pick for me but it could be good.
I went a dex and arcane mix during my playthrough, it was fun applying bleed on bosses pretty often.

that three kick combo with high Arcane and physical scaling is going to be NASTY.
My favourite build with the Ripple Crescent Halberd is an Int/Arcane build. Albinauric Staff off hand. Gavel of Haima. Sleep Greases.
As they fall asleep I bonk them with the Gavel, it's so cool.
The mistery thingie is the glints one kris and also this channel (and andrusouls) is why I am going to start playing pvp

My first guy was a claw boy with bleed and frost. I may consider dabbling in arcane next.

I like that two years later, I'm still learning about weapon drops that I've never seen. Between this halberd and the little demi-Human Bleed Dagger that I saw drop for the first time only four characters and hundreds of hours in, I'm clearly going to still be seeing new-to-me vanilla Elden Ring stuff well into my time with Shadow of the Erdtree.
I think this video might be the exact reason why I've encountered this build a few different times in Colosseum PvP lol

My RoB/Serpent Bow character is also my "farm all gear" character. But it does have that sleep halberd for emergencies.

The coil snake shield's ashe of war is also pretty good because it will usually poison the enemy in 1 hit, and pair it with a bleed Shamshir or Estoc or something and it's kinda painful, especially if there's multiple of them lol
This video gave me the idea to dual wield two Ripple Crescent Halberds with Blood Grease on both of them for insane bleed on bosses in PVE

Dragon communiun seal has arcane scaling that helps with madness buildup of madness incants, incase if that hasn't been mentioned yet
It also boosts bleed build up of bleed incants except blood flame blade which has fixed bleed build up.
There aren't viable poison incants so I left that out of the equation.
Similarly arcane scaling of albunaric staff helps in better tracking of bubble socerory iirc.
It should also help with bleed buildup of thorn socerory
I used to run the halberd sleep build a lot before the arenas were released
It is very fun
I ran an Arcane Dual Uchigatana Blood build in my 1st playthrough. It was pretty good.

Arcane is the best stat if used right, since you can scale rivers of blood (and the other bloody weapons) and the dragon comunion seal both off of arcane at the same time

I can influct Scarlet Rot, Poison, Bleed, and Frostbite all at the same time. The panic people get when this happens is LEGENDARY

it was nerfed pretty hard overall in the game. so its worse in pve and pvp now.
Making a dex/arcane build for the DLC, this video was helpful.
Heh, yeah when I made my Griffith build/cosplay on my 3rd play through I went with a Dex/Arcane build with a dash of faith so I would have access to the best incantations but scaled with arcane via the dragon seal talisman... needless to say its arguably my most powerful PVP build to date.

3:34 Occult does not remove Madness buildup, that is a visual bug; Occult Fingerprint Stone Shield has 121 Madness buildup at 60 arcane

I really want a video directed to just a occult weapons because I noticed that occult infusion deals more damge then other infusions
I have a 99 stat arc with double saw blades with bleed ash and the bleed build up is 142 for each so I’ll jump and double slam inflicting 284 bleed build up and it’s almost a one touch blood loss

I have my 275 character with 99 arcane and I have a bleed vulgar militia saw +25 and a poison pest Glaive +25 that go crazy, and an occult giant crusher +25 which is outputting over 1000 damage per hit

I wish it did work on scarlet rot, maybe not ramp up as fast or frost, but SOME scaling would be nice
I've done two fist or claw/arcane builds lately and also a bleed/arcane sword build lately and Arcane is really, really good. The dragon cult incantations plus Frenzied Burst means you can be a very capable spellcaster with only about 17 Faith (+5 from the talisman makes 22 for Frenzied Burst) and fist/claw/bleed weapons are stupidly powerful when the weapon has innate bleed and you make it Occult. The spellcasting part of the build relies on the Dragon Communion Seal, which scales very high with enough upgrades and Arcane.
My main uses occult raptor talons with dragon incantations, can cast a full smarags glintstone breath with only 10 mind.

Surprised there was no mention of occult also being based on physical damage, meaning it gets bleed/poison/sleep ontop of non-split damage.
Picked the halberd last night. I love it.
That's something that sticks on me more than my shirt and last nights dinner is rot is the central theme to the game yet also the hardest to inflict.
Yet you can just chew on a wad of mold and your good now, you are more likely to flat out kill them with any weapon three times over than rot.
If any channel deserves 10 million subs and beyond its this one :)

ive been trying to tell people this for what seems like forever. I first noticed it when i decided to experiment with the nagakibas and tune them to blood with the ashes i put on it. Once i did that and leveled arcane a bit, i had two +25 blood nagakibas, one having BHS, and the other seppuku, and each sword did 114 BLEED BUILD UP!!!!!!
Discovery as a stat is the epitome of this game. I even have to level up to loot.

What are peoples thoughts on the Halo Scythe? I've been mostly a strict Intelligence build most runs of the game and just found out about the weapon on a rare drop video I saw. I like the ranged disc move.
