-Just an update video on my Spyderco Southard dilemma, and an intro to the very "out of my comfort zone" knife: the ZT 0562CF! Thoughts on the 2 knives, the deal I got on the ZT, and my plans for immediate modifications to the ZT. Please Thumbs Up and/or Subscribe if you like! Thanks for watching!

I love my ZT's...0456, 0801 copperhead, 0452, 0560, and last but not least, my 0777

I've been considering a ZT for a while now for heavy duty EDC. I've seen good prices on the 0350 on Amazon, as well as the 0452 and sometimes the 0566. I will probably pick one up at some point, but I still prefer my Spydercos and Benchmades. Keep up the awesome videos, RJO! I'm curious to see how it looks after the mods Rob does. I've considered sending a few to him for sharpening, but haven't yet. Curious to hear how it works out for you!

I will make a video for sure when the knife gets back. I'd say this is the only ZT that I was impressed with. However, I did get it for $100 less than retail price. I dont think I would pay $240 for this I'll say that, but at a used value I'd say its a go. I love my Spydercos above all else for sure still. Rock on!

Thanks for the reply. Keep up the videos when you have time - they're enjoyable! Ever since I watched your video on Spyderco's price increases I've been ticked off about it - I noticed it too prior to your video, just didn't think much of it... a temporary increase due to demand or something. But your video made me realize it may be permanent. It sucks!! I don't mind dropping $100-$120 for a Para 2/3 but for some reason I have a real mental block about spending the extra $20-$30 they're charging now.

I'll never buy another ZT knife. I voiced concerns about my warranty and they told me to send my knife back, that they don't want to deal with customers that complain like me. Garbage company with the worst customer service I've ever dealt with in my life. Bought a Steel Will

Yeah I have to agree with you. I’ve never been a fan of Kai brands like Shun, Kershaw, or Zt. I wound up getting rid of the ZT pretty quickly. It was just a big hefty beast that sucked at cutting things. Just not for me. Spyderco nails it every time. ZT and Kershaw.... well haha not for me. Glad I tried it tho! Because now I know.

Since you hard use your knives why not go to a bark river small fixed blade in A2 steel.

Barry. Thanks for watching! I wouldn't say I hard use my folding knives in a fixed blade sense. They just need to be durable and especially handle the elements. A2 doesnt last too long here in Florida but I DO love me some Bark River fixed blades! Rock on
