I have seen different ways of making this block but I send you a huge thank you. You have made it easy to understand; I can’t wait to try it. Thank you.👍
That was a wonderful tutorial very well explained and easy to follow. Thank you for sharing your expertise as it is appreciated. I love this block and will now be able to make it.
Thank you for "slow and easy" way of showing how to do this, I know with this pattern, i can try without fear of messing up. Grateful for your tutorial.
What great instructions!! I made a practice block and was surprised at his simple it was! You’re a great teacher Claudia!! Question; now I want to try it with a 31/2-4” center square…. How big would my strips be to make a 12” finished block? Could you help me? Or direct me how to find out?? Great job!
I just found your channel and have subscribed. This is a beautiful block and it looks like it will be so fun to make. Thank you for sharing your time and your talentsl
I Made a mistake the other day while cutting the 16 inch strips. Somehow, I made one cut then for some reason, I cut the other 8” bunch opposite what I should have, and then my 4 pieces did NOT work together on that same block. I had to make another block cut it differently, and then two of those worked with the first ones. I see now that I must have cut it diagonally but at a different angle. Love it though. Makes a cute quilt. I will use sashing in between the blocks. Thank you for a great pattern, certainly simpler than my last quilt, lol.
Love this block. Just found your channel and love the way you teach. If I wanted to use 2 and 1/2 strips what would the measurement for center block be
An excellent demonstration! Can you tell me measurement of the strips if I wanted to increase the size of the square to 4 1/2 inches (4 inches finished)?
Claudia, can you confirm that you’re cutting each 8” section from bottom right to top left please? I think that’s what I see but want to make sure. I know I did it wrong last time and could only use 2 of the 4 sections. I think I learned my lesson, lol.
The only thing I would say here is that one has to watch when you’re sewing to not stretch the ends out, as they are cut on the bias, but otherwise, so nice.
If I wanted to make the block bigger (10" block) what would be the measurements ? How long would the strips be and would the center still be 2 1/2" block ?

Hi Claudia, Just wondering , if I wanted to make more blocks, to make a quilt, how do you quilt the blocks for a quilt ?
How big is this block?
It is 8.5 inches.
I am trying to find one that is about 6” or 6.5”
@@sharongardner9044Maybe if you only sew 4 strips, it might do it for you and then just cut it down to the size required.
