We have been enjoying asparagus for millennia. There is a very cool story about the Greek God of Lightening, Zeus, who fell for a mortal named Cynara. I tell the story in the video, but interestingly enough, the scientific name for a globe artichoke is Cynara scolymus-hum; you’ll get it after watching the video.

Artichokes are really easy to prepare, you trimmed them and then steamed them and they’re delicious! Please give it a try sometime I think you’ll find them Much easier to prepare, easy to eat, and delicious!

Sir Algood Stickapopple was very fond of a ripe Artichoke, yup he always saw it as , an aphrodisiac if you like, yup !when in Bullawayo he was known as the main man for Artichokes and chicken wings and of course Croissants, I rest my case !! This wonderful consume became known and fondly recalled in our pile as the Chokey Pokey, hard to believe i know
