Excellent video, love how you showed each function of the tripod, your explanation and editing is top notch! I am looking to get a first tripod and bouncing back and forth between a travel/versatile tripod like this for my personal traveling photography, and something more "standard" for doing some planned real estate photography. Do you think this tripod could handle both of those tasks? And maybe down the line, I could consider getting a different tripod head to throw on when going out to do an RE shoot?

Curious, yo make this video, did you use 2 Chronicles? Nice backpack too! do the legs lock their position ? meaning that if I move the tripod the legs wont fold in and I'll have to extend them outwards again, asking this because I sometimes need to move quickly and having something like that, were I don't have to remember to adjust again, just place it and shoot, its a must for me, every other feature in this tripod looks fantastic,

    • @dunnadidit
      @dunnadidit  11 месяцев назад +1

      I’m not 100% sure I understand the question but I’ll try to answer. There are two mechanisms for the legs, the twist locks that extend the length of them, when you tighten them, they lock into place and won’t move until you loosen them. The legs moving outward or inward horizontally has 3 positions controlled by the little tabs near the top, the legs are still able to move inward when spread wide, but can’t move outward past the selected point. Hopefully that helps.

      It doesn’t necessarily act as a gimbal which I think is what you’re asking. But any time that you add weight to your camera it will stabilize slightly. So people do use tripods as kind of moving stabilizers sometimes!

    Nice and instructional video on your excellent photography channel thatvI have been a subscriber to for some time. Too bad that a few viewers get wound up for no reason because of a "flag" ...
    I have two tripods already a generic travel tripod that lacks the great features on the Promaster and a largeish stable as a rock Benro plus a SmallRig mini "video" head for the few times I need that so I am set.
    Something which you did not bring up is the stability. My four section leg tripod can be effected by ground vibrations (waves pounding on a beach) whereas the three section thicker legs tripod is so solid. Perhaps you said something about this in your video but I missed that?

      I always felt like flip locks should be easier in theory but I’m actual practice I’m a twist lock guy! I can do all of them at once and they’re easier on my hand. All depends on the quality and type of either one of course though!

    • @tonymiresse707
      @tonymiresse707 11 месяцев назад +1

      I used to feel the same way, but I changed my mind when I found how quickly you can extend all leg sections with one twist. Same with collapsing them - did you see how fast Dunna did it? Way faster than flipping three separate flip locks on each leg. Plus my last tripod with flip locks would occasionally loosen up and the leg would gradually slide so they needed to be tightened periodically. Not so with twist locks.

    • @getfmlr
