Just shaved for the first time with the 39c and feather blade. Best shave I have ever had. This is my second DE razor. My first I got 54 years ago for Xmas from my mom. I needed a new one cause I gave mine to my son.
You have to be the best youtube shaver in the world. No cuts, ever. No irritation. All that regardless of the gear you’re using !! I must admit, i’m jealous 😛
Two months on after getting this razor and I can honestly say its one of the best razors there is. It is really comfortable and it just erases the hair! I like using it with the Nacet, Silver Star and the Wilkinson Sword blades. It shaves so close it takes a full 3 days for my beard to grow back.
This is one of my favourite razors. I can put practically any blade in it and get a good shave. You see some posts about the "risks" of using a slant head razor but it has never been an issue for any user I have talked to. You cant daydream when using it but it is not out to get you. A go-to razor for sure.

Hey Geo. The 38C was my first DE razor, and I love it. But my new 37C, is the most comfortable and efficient razor I own. Doesn't matter what blade I use, the result is outstanding. Keep up the videos. You have been a solid supporter for our community, and I appreciate all you have done. Cheers

Where I grew up, this Omega brush was pretty much used by all barbers. Home shavers mainly used either the Omega or the cheaper Chinese stuff. Very few had badger brushes.
Damn this razor with the feather blades puts to shame any cartridge razor, a pure lawn mower! It just went through that beard like it was nothing! Awesome!
I’m sold. Gonna pick one up from Shave Nation. I’d love to see this razor in other colors like gold or gun metal. Maybe Gillette will offer a slant called the Gillette Guillotine in several colors. 🤞 thanks for being such a blessing to the wet shave community Mr Geo💈🪒👍🏽

Thanks Geo for the videos. I have the 37C and very happy with it. Have been watching your videos on the Muhle R41 for aggressive shaving. How does 39C compare to R41? 39C or R41 for shaves every 3/4days?
Hello, Geo how are you, you got a fantastic shave with this razor, this razor is in my list, do you ship products to INDIA, presently my daily go to razor is Merkur 37c and I love it 🙏🙏🙏👍👍
Amy suggestions on how to shave against the grain with a straight razor? I got no problems doing that with a DE but always get ingrowns if i go against the grain with a straight.
Hello geo, for a boar brush, how do u remove the excess amount of water from ur brush? I know there are several ways to do it; some squeeze it out while other flicks the brush 2 - 3 times. I'm still new when it comes to using a boar brush, so I would like to know ur method. Thank you! 😊
At least you have a beard with nice growth to shave, I see some others doing shave videos and either it looks like they just shaved or they hardly have facial hair. I’m looking at the Rockwell 6s, how does it compare to this razor?
IMO, a 6S is extremely smooth yet efficient. This is going to probably be rougher than a 6S. The Rockwell will probably feel more solid, as it is stainless steel.
I have this guy's smaller brother the 37c. The only way I can make it work for me is by using a Feather blade, but the slant bar seems to dull blades quickly.
Geo, would you say this razor is good if you have sensitive skin? I’ve been DE shaving for a year now and I have one area of my face that seems to be quite sensitive - my right cheek. Often comes up a bit red and a few blotches/spots that come up too. I’ve seen some comments online that say the sledgehammer is good if you have sensitive skin because of the slant. Wondering if you agree? Or if you’d recommend something else? I currently shave with a ES Outlaw and I sometimes use a Timor for the 3rd pass. I always use a pre shave, I take my time lathering and use a balm. But still get the irritation and only on that area for some reason. Rest of my face is unaffected.
Geo I have to shave everyday as an active duty military member. I have been using a 34C for the past 4 years. I was thinking of going for a change but not sure what direction. I want something that is aggressive for a super close shave, but i can use everyday. Any suggestions?
Question regarding how to prevent irritation. On my neck area if I go against the grain by the end of the day I end up with a ton of bumps. Hence why I bought this razor but I'm waiting for the irritation to go away.. Any tips? Thanks
Can you use the 39c on your head for headshaving cause I'm looking for a good de razor for headshaving been using de on my face for years and want to get away from cartridge on my head
The Merkur Futur is the real sledge hammer. The 39c slant isn't aggressive at all but still very efficient. I'd highly recommend it to beginners. I don't get all the talk about it being aggressive.
