I owned a Blendtec for a good 15 years and used it almost every day making thick smoothies and it never missed a beat. I would also make lotion and mayo with it. It was only when I had more people using it daily that it gave up and died. It worked like a champ. No complaints whatsoever.
@@SDCustoms Crud - wish I saw this before I trashed it. No, I no longer have it. I did def get my money out of it. I just received a new one so hopefully I'll be good to go for many years.
I had these at one of the bars I worked at. Hands down the best blender on the market. Last checked I had over 33,000 blends on the counter with no issues. I highly recommend this.
My wife and I got one last year. It transformed how I thought of the kitchen and my nutrition. Best blender I’ve ever owned. They do sell them preowned precertified for much cheaper and ours is still as good as the day we got it and use is 1 or more times daily.
I have the classic for 9 years strong left it in my exes country, had to buy a new one because couldn't live without it. Just blending huge smoothies fast and easily is worth it
Many years ago, I looked at the Blendtec but ended up with the Vitamix. I prefer the manual controls of the Vitamix 5200, giving me complete control of my blending with the speed dial and flip switches. Pressing a button like the Blendtec is a drag. A friend has the Blendtec and likes it a lot. You always post great reviews, thanks again! :)
Thanks for this! I have had a Blendtec for 12 years and the motor finally burned out this week. I'm devastated! Found your channel searching to see if I should buy this or another brand. The classic you are reviewing only has a two year warranty and that worries me, since they have upgraded ones with 8 and 10 year warranties (like they used to). Also, I think you are being very nice about the blending of this one. For the price, this should have done a way better job. I heard they sold out to someone, not sure if that changes anything. Thank you for the honest and humorous review!
@@TheAverageKitchen You're welcome! So far I'm buying the Breville Q one, waiting for it to arrive. Will update you with some use! (I still miss my Blendtec.)
Excellent test-off Gentlemen! That's how U find out if a Unit is what it's preached to be! You test it.And this machine delivers! I've had my Unit,The Blendtec 570 Classic for 6 year's now,And it's still going 💪 ✌️
I have one still working 12 years strong. I accidentally left an avocado seed in it one day while making a smoothie (don’t ask), but it crushed the heck out of it. I thought I destroyed my blendtec, but after cleaning it out, and reusing it, no sign of damage. This machine is incredible.
Their blenders got an aesthetic makeover. They probably hired a designer who actually had an artistic sense and background. Congratulations on the new looks, they're much more pleasing to the eye.
The difference between blendtec and vitamix is that the vitamix uses a super hard pre-dulled blade, and uses blender power and pitcher design to constantly pull the contents down towards the blade using a vortex. The vitamix blade will never dull because it already is. Blendtec is more like a constant weed-whacker going on, splattering and throwing everything into the sides of the pitcher. That could work better for certain things, but tends to froth/foam liquids and green drinks to death.
Actually the Vitamix blade is very sharp and if you’re not careful while cleaning you can easily cut yourself. The Blendtec blade is the one that’s dull and squared off and uses the power to do the puree and chopping. That’s one of the selling points of the blendtec is that you’re not going to cut yourself on the blade. I agree with you though about the vortex and the vita mix being better than the blendtec which splashes everything all over the place when you just want to do an easy mix
@@Defensewhiz Compared to the Blendtec, I guess I'd agree on the blade. But compared to something like the "total crushing blades" on the newer Ninja blenders. Oh man, They will cut you to the bone without any effort.
@@sumdood2035 true that about Ninja, but you could’t pay me to own a Ninja blender with their plastic housings and lack if horsepoeer.. Blendtec or Vitamix all day
@@Defensewhiz And made in china (including the plastic container) plastered everywhere. Blendtec and Vitamix are the two top dogs. Smoothie shops use either-or, which is proof that the right ingredients will blend on either one. I have actually had issues with my vitamix using only frozen fruits and cold water/milk, even if I'm using greens. It ends up cavitating, and I have to use the tamper. If I add something like bananas or any kind of fresh fruit the problem goes away. I guess that's just the nature of the beast. Maybe with everything frozen I end up being part-way to making ice cream/sorbet rather than a smoothie.
From these videos blendtec seems really good. I had a vitamin before and made the same smoothie you made and it had chunks in it. I had paid like 499 for that vitamax. I think I will now be looking for a blendtec model. Great review
One should time there nut butter right before a smoothie or even almond milk afterwards. This way you avoid wasting with cleaning and get to use what's left in the container in the smoothie or milk.
Hi, I just recently found your channel and I’m all about kitchen gadget reviews and you guys do amazing with a few videos I’ve seen already. I’ve had a blendtec for close to eight years and one thing I don’t like about them is the lack of a tamper unlike the Vitamix. I ended up getting a third-party tamper that fits the blendtec off of Amazon and it’s made a world of difference for things like the peanut butter, almond butter, and cauliflower rice where you don’t have to stop and scrape. Just wanted to throw that out there for you. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.
Wow such an awesome comment thanks ! Really appreciate the feedback and the tamper suggestion. Thanks for checking us out ! We have lots more reviews coming out ! Cheers. Marc
@@amyrosejax the twister jar is a complete piece of junk and a waste of money. I owned it, have used it, and promptly sold it to someone else that was looking for it despite my warnings about it. The third party tamper I bought is awesome, fits the Blendtec perfectly (two models are sold, one for the venting lid, and one for the newer latching lid model) and I am much happier with it vs the twister jar. In all honesty, I was making perfect nut butter even before owning the tamper or twister jar. Yes you "may" need to scrape the sides, but it was rare I had to do that since my model Blendtec has the soup button on it, and I taught myself the way to do it without needing to scrape the sides that much.
I’ve owned both a vitamix and a blentec trust me on this get a vitamix nothing bad to say about the blentec it’s just not as good as a vitamix but both are great machines
Vitamix owner here. Blendtec is comparable in performance. They did drop their price several years back to be cheaper than vitamix, so the materials took a bit of a scale back in quality - hence only a 2 year warranty now. It's also LOUD. But if you wanna save some $, it's a comparable blender performance wise (minus the conveniceof the tamper)
Liked my blendtec a lot. The issue came when it stopped working. It was out of warranty so the company would not fix and they do not sell parts (it needed a new circuit board).
Just used mine for the first time tonight. And I really had to hold the base down. It wanted to spin on its on and likely fly off the counter. Now I did overfill it so maybe that was the problem?

These suck. They froth everything you make, and fails to blend frozen strawberries. And the bearing in the blending jar will fail and it's not serviceable by design. You have to buy a new $140 jar to replace a $5 bearing. It's gets the rating of, DO NOT BUY!
