If you are keeping the car for a couple days, use the mobile charger and plug it in your garage, it’ll charge about 1-1.5% per hour, that should be enough for your daily driving. If you see an EV in your future then I would recommend installing a NEMA 14-50 outlet, that’s a 240v outlet that’ll charge the car quickly over night.

He still has to pay state taxes. The car $70K plus $5K is $75K for whatever state he's in. The $5K is to register and insure (Full coverage), so hopefully he can keep the vehicle.

So i have a hundyia ioniq 5 and it is just as fast as the tesla. The nice thing about it though is when we plug it into a super charger, it takes 5 minutes to charge for 300 miles, and I have a warranty for it that lets me charge for free for 2 years, another reason why i perfer it over teslas. But yea man the electic car industry is getting crazy now!

Bleeding edge tech that batteries cost 10k plus to replace and according to a recent Finnish study, we only have enough materials to make batteries for 2 world replacement cycles.

as for the tesla stuff.... i only charge mine to 80% because after that it takes so long to get to 100%. and a lot of people don't know unless u own one, you wanna leave some room in the battery for the one pedal driving. brake regeneration needs to put the power back into the battery but if its full the regen braking doesn't work and you will have to use the hydraulic brakes(which i hardly use). I drove my model Y performance for 32,000 the past year and i spent $925 on fuel (electric) definitely will save you money! as for my maintenance for the year I bought 3 gallons of washer fluid $10, and I will be replacing my tires soon also ($1600)
Excellent point about leaving some "space" in the battery so to speak. Entirely different reasoning/circumstances altogether, but in a way like leaving that barrier of air on top of a full fuel tank and not topping off, keeping fuel from spilling into the pcv system.

An EV really does make a perfectly daily driver. I have a Model 3 Performance and until recently I also had a Camaro SS 1LE. I’m currently shopping for another gas track car (probably a GT86/GR86).
He's got to be able to sell it in a few months so no hardcore off-roading. If I had a truck like that or a Raptor I would never bring it off-road. Not going to scratch my $100,000 truck. Unless I was a millionaire then who cares
I dunno man, I drove my buddy's Plaid. It was cool and all, but once you get over the launch, it's a pretty boring car to drive. Also the steering wheel is annoying when driving. Just my 2 cents..
I can just imagine what an exotic car manufacturer can do with an electric vehicle if Tesla can pull something like that. I mean, what an electric vehicle that's really designed and tuned for performance can do. Won't have the sound of ICE obviously, but I'd be interested to see how fast electric can really go considering what has been done with ICE

Well I agree that the acceleration does not get old for some, most people don't want it and some don't need it or shouldn't have it because they're just bad drivers. Is there a setting on the car to limit the acceleration? Cuz even at a normal setting the acceleration would be greater than a normal gas car and sufficient for everyday driving giving you slight performance. And I am guessing it would also increase the range which is the biggest complaint that people have on these vehicles. I am talking about all electric vehicles. Being a Ford guy all my life I would be more interested in a Ford EV. At my age I don't need the performance and I couldn't afford the towing bills pulling me out of the ditch😁

80% is fine, only go higher if you are going on a roadtrip.

There are more powerful chargers thought. This one was only 100kw but V3 superchargers can reach 250kw

You got the slow charger, the 250kw chargers are 20 min 5% to 95%
I have owned several great running v8 cars (still do) and fun stuff. Bought a M3 performance and drive it whenever I can. It does not get old.
