From a characters overall design to how you feel as a gamer who; design tests character mechanics and has a strong understanding to how a character has been designed to be played. Well done to you The Den of Sin on this video and the other excellent ones... The one on hit scaling and how characters can go around and through projectiles / fireballs. Very, very well made content.
Your videos have been an incredibly helpful. As someone new to SF6 I’ve been using Modern controls on Marisa and have been doing pretty well (Plat 4 in ranked). I find that at that rank I’m getting outplayed by classic controls and am feeling forced to switch just to get those extra poke options
Thanks for making these excellent vids! Marisa missing the spartan kick special move is a big disappointment since she otherwise seems to have transitioned well into the Modern control scheme
I'm actually surprised they gave us manual gladius instead of manual kick since in all my time comboing with her I have never needed light gladius, but i do feel the loss of that kick. You're right that her core gameplan is present and she still does mad damage regardless though. I just think ryu having hashogeki is great and wish such considerations were made in more places.
To me, her kick feels so important that I've pretty much written her off as a lost cause in Modern. There's situations she just needs the kick, only having it in an autocombo doesn't cut it.
@@pg5650 hey, no shame at all. I still think she can do a lot with her modern tools. I was just lamenting the lack of kick since it's a good gap close and combo tool. Keep winning with her though I think she still has some sauce either way

The devs have said they'd consider updating movesets for the Modern control scheme on a per character basis so I think it's likely
