Dude, my steam games kept crashing and i couldn't figure out why. I tried every suggestion out there and none helped. I thought it was my ram or ssd. It tried this and i havent had a game crash, pc crash, etc within 3 days of doing this. Thank you so much!!!

@@keybokatze1927 I think for me, I have high cpu temps around 70-75 degrees Celsius and the pc will shut down. Hopefully this method will fix that for me. By the way i have decent airflow and a decent cooler for my r5 5600X. I just don’t understand why it’s so high.

This worked for me! (so far). PC was crashing only when I try to play games. It didn't seem to matter if I was running chrome or not. Since doing this in the settings (95%), I have been able to play games and run chrome with no issues. Thank you for this video!
this is good to know bc i'm in a habit of closing opera when playing games bc of fucking gpu issues, so looking things up is annoying when u have to wait for opera startup. thanks for saying that lol

Hello, I am leaving this comment to tell you thank you so much as I believe this solved my PC crashing problem while playing games. I have tried literally everything from uninstalling and reinstalling windows and graphic drivers, event got a new PSU etc. nothing worked, but as soon as I did this no more crashing what’s so ever and everything runs great. But isn't this just a band aid solution? They issue was not really fixed. You just slowed down the computer in the hopes of it not drawing too much power and shut down. The root of the problem is still not addressed.

This actually worked for me I had to much cpu utilization and usually warzone and Fortnite would crash like 15 mins into the game but this video helped out a lot and 95 and 95 also work not a bot !!!

Also be sure to check storage, I just did a bunch of windows updates and it took some of my storage so I had to uninstall a game, make sure to have at least 12-15gb free

I just ran into this issue on my AMD Ryzen 5700G 32GB DDR4 system. It is a MinisForum mini PC, that packs some punch. It was working fine, then moving into a new office, it all seemed good... until gaming. Standard operations worked fine, movies, browsing, office work, even simple 2D games... it was just 3D gaming where I would get an unexpected reboot, error 41. I reinstalled my OS and some games, and of course, ensured that the OS and Device Drivers were current. Same issue, reliably. When the 3D kicks in, it reboots. Temperatures are all good 50-60C. Well, long-story short (too late), I found out that I just had too many devices plugged in to my power connections. It wasn't an issue with my PC at all, not with the hardware, not with the software. The PC was unable to pull the power it needed for that type of processing, so it rebooted. I plugged in just the necessities into the surge protectors and it is all 100%. Thanks for your thought process here. It got me on the right track, though it was a different cause than yours. Have a good one!
I’m going through something similar and I even bought a surge protector and I’m still having issue. I have GPU-Z installed but don’t understand it/the sensor tab report. I also took my card to Micro Center to have them test it on one of their machines and it crashed there as well. They just told me my card was defective. But I can still play most games and everything but sometimes with heavy load games, it will still crash. Temperatures are normal on everything for both COU/GPU. In GPUZ what would I look for to tell me that the card is truly defective before I shell out money to buy a new one? Really pissed because the computer is only a couple years old and car should not be failing this quick.

Thank you it was a pain in the ass to deal with the thumbnail was me when playing games and unexpectedly boom. Pc froze and crashed . And maximum CPU usage was 100 set to 95 so now I can play newly bought RDR2 on my brand new gaming build LET'S GO!
I hope this helps. More detail on my situation: When I play games you know what ever games. My entire pc just freezes. I have to hold the power on button for it to turn off and rest. I'll give my feedback if I see improve meant. Thank you for the video!

guys i think i fixed it its been 4 days and the problem didnt happen to me so far i found the solution in this video ruclips.net/video/UHXbQ_kyebw/видео.html but unlike this guy i didnt need to install another cpu i just uninstall the same cpu for a bit and i was surprised by the miss the old thermal paste has made over time so i let my cousin help(do all the work^_^) me.. so after cleaning the intel core and the cpu with a alcohol pads and applying the new thermal paste it all worked fine but before i play heavy games i have to go to msi after burner and set the fans speed at 60 or 66 because for some reason the msi after burner go to default mode after every time i close the pc wich means 0 fan speed and one more thing apparently you have to replace the thermal paste every few months i think it was 3 months... and i am sorry for writting a whole book.. dont worry the fix is easy i am just a bad story teller..GL : )

My PC's video display started freezing 3 days ago, it happens when I have video games running, even a simplistic mobile phone game (MTG Arena) that isn't very performance-demanding. So far it hasn't "frozen" if I'm just browsing the web or watching RUclips videos. I have a Ryzen 7 and an RTX 3050 graphics card, and my Nvidia graphics drivers are up-to-date. My OS is Windows 11 and it's up-to-date. The PC is an MSI desktop I got brand new in July 2022, and it only recently started having this issue. I noticed that after the video "freezes" I can still hear audio coming through until I have to reset my PC. I also notice that upon restarting, my PC apparently won't send video data to the monitor but will still run; so I have to turn it off again (both PC and monitor) and wait several minutes before restoring power and THEN the monitor will display video. This makes me think it may be a graphics card problem. Any thoughts on what's causing this?

Ok…wtf man you literally fixed my desktop freezes to death every single game. I know my pc is old with gtx1080 but it can’t be that bad playing some normal games. The power max/min really solved my crashing issue thanks so much
When I go to the power editing area it doesn't give me the option to change the processor state
Okay so a thing that worked for me without losing any frames is that i set my minimum processor state and maximum processor state both to 99% instead of 100%. Hope this helps you!

I started having problems around mid December after a windows update, and an Nvidia update that took placed on the same day. Maybe around the 13th or 14th of the month. Reinstalling windows didn’t even help. Took the card to Micro Center and when they tested it there it crashed as well. They told me my card was defective yet it still seems to work for the most part. I wonder if this is a coincidence or did the driver somehow messed up the card. Sometimes I could play heavy load games for hours with no issue and other times it’ll crash shortly after. I’m trying to hold onto till I can get a new card but I was just wondering when you noticed your issue. Really pissed because I’ve only had this computer a couple of years and didn’t have a single problem until that damn update in December.

June 2024. - Thank you, THANK you…. THANK YOU SO MUCH. Updated my windows 11 and somehow everything started crashing spent two days troubleshooting. And this was it.
Though I’m still trying to figure out why tho.. if everything else was working accordingly prior to update. I do notice the slight frame drop in my gaming sessions… very slight. But nevertheless I am SO happy. A working computer is better than one that isn’t.
why does this work? why does only 95 work? ive tried 100 and 100 and 95 and 100 and only 95 and 95 work and are stable. and why am i having to do this now when its been working for a long while? thank you for helping me fix my pc but i want to know why this works and why only those numbers work. thanks again.

Problem is when i install NVIDIA’s latest version. My PC doesn’t want to open no more. I’ve tried everything, just as its about to start up, it crashes Not even giving the wallpaper the time to load. I’ve tried waiting, didn’t work. I tried closing and restarting, didn’t work. Tried to let it cold a bit. Didn’t work. I cannot open this PC no more.
