So after having black screen while gaming this was my solution. The blackouts only happened after I had been gaming for a while, PubG, Battlefield, Cod etc so i thought it was either my GPU, CPU or possibly PSU, as it only happened when things got hot. I used Nvidia to film the blackouts, but suprise it did not capture them. So i tried all these tips, which are good tips, without success. However my problem was far more simple to solve, my year old display port cable was the problem. I got a good one now and everything is OK. Sometimes the easiest things are the cause of a problem.

Thank you, man. I just bought an Asus monitor and the thing was just like going to sleep for a few seconds randomly. It was driving me crazy. Turns out the game mode was pestering, somehow. For now it seems the problem is gone. Hope it is. -_-

Random point of insight, my issue was caused solely by Nvidia's instant replay recording I had enabled, since I had it enabled to record desktop content as well that somehow caused it to get a black screen anytime a game was fullscreened or a video was using the gpu, not sure why but I just disabled the desktop capture and it fixed it, also fixed by turning off the recorder entirely.
@@1deema I did, sorry for the late response. The problem has to do with the latest GPU driver combined with the Geforce Experience version, for me I simply removed the current driver and installed the previous graphics driver and that fixed the problem, im going to keep this until they update again and fix the issue.
I regret buying a 7900 XT Can't even play a 20 years old game (world of warcraft) whitout having driver timeout issue. Same happened when playing hunt showdown. Also total war warhammer 3 , game kept crashing with amd error I don't play much but when i do , i keep trying to make my GPU works playing with drivers versions , switching to older or newer version depending on the games , IM DONE. Going back to Nvidia ! First and last amd gpu. Never again ! I now understand why amd gpu are cheaper , they are worth less.
The thing is my gpu for some reason will always go to 98% usage just to boost the fps (I'm not running in real time) so I always get the black screen for like 5 seconds.
@@maddensimmy no but I think it might be either software or a faulty a hdmi cable. For me at least a factory reset sorted it but once I started installing a lot of stuff it appeared more often. Mostly it started when I installed the amd adrenaline software and windows 11. I also found that not using hdmi swappers helps and if you play PC vr I would recommend reinstalling virtual desktop.
It only happens in some games. Sifu MK11. No mans sky. Spider-Man remastered black screen (or whichever color the game has mainly) freezer the game and the sound keeps running. But my commands do not work i7 7700k gtx 980 ti
All of this method doesnt fix my issue, so this will be Power Supply or Faulty Motherboard. Additional Advice: If you Update GPU driver make sure to use DDU, some of my friends having also issue black screen after updating GPUs directly, maybe its on CPU capabilities and BUgs.

Can anyone help me I’ve been having a problem with my pc. I have an intel i9 with a 3090, 32 GB Ram, water cooled, 2TB SSD, v850 power. When I play wether big or small games like GTA or Black Ops or BeamNG or anything, I lose display and my screen goes black. It usually doesn’t lose display if I’m just chilling like on a web browser or not pushing the pc, but it has happened before. My pc stays on and the only way to try to get the display back is a hard restart with the power button, and it doesn’t always come back. Sometimes it even restarts on its own. All of this happens usually just when I play games. Everything is brand new and Ive even tried making sure the ram is clean, reset the cmoss battery, etc. Took it to Geek Squad they said it’s my power supply and I need something stronger like a 1000. Any help?

@vibhawkhakha3739 Just drag or delete ScriptHookRDR2.dll, version.dll, vfs.asi, and dinput8.dll. You can add them over when ur done with the mission. If this happens again, just do the same thing until you're done with whatever mission you're on

@@old_nm8680 I did some pc optimizations, the probably best one is in power plan settings and set the minimum and maximum power state to 95 or 100% try what works better for you
@@outspurfather @samahaawan search select power plan then select high performance and click on edit power plan and I think its called anything with processor then click on minimum power state do it to 95% and maximum power state also to 95%. You only give the games you play 95% of your cpu and the rest can be used from other applications. This helped me fixing game crashes and fps drops

Hello, I’m currently trying to run Modern Warfare 3 on my pc but I get a black screen every 30 seconds or so while i’m in a game. My specs are ryzen 7 5700x, 32 GB of ram, Radeon RX 580 Series, and 1tb of storage. While running MW3 my cpu is at an average of about 20-25%, while my gpu is at an average of 73-80%. Well unfortunately for me nothing worked i just got this new desk top to problem is it doesn't shut of on every game theres 2 games im able to play but the others go black after a couple minutes and its not even the more demanding games i can play games like Naraka blade points and Doa 6 but cant play games like Dragon ball fighterz for honor or Goose Goose Duck which that last game dont require shit to run that im so confused

Load up regedit on your PC, then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SYSTEM>CurrentControlSet>Control>GraphicsDrivers Right Click and choose DWord (32-bit) Value, rename it to "TdrDelay" hit ENTER, double click on it and choose Decimal. change the value from 0 to 10 hit OK. Exit and Re Start your PC.. hope that solves your issue.

same issue here i updated my drivers and now i get random frame drops and then it kicks me out of fullscreen to windowed randomly

hi my pc when im in a game for a while it will go black but i still hear the game sound does this mean its the gpu is overheating or hdmi issue my cpu% never goes over 30
Load up regedit on your PC, then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SYSTEM>CurrentControlSet>Control>GraphicsDrivers Right Click and choose DWord (32-bit) Value, rename it to "TdrDelay" hit ENTER, double click on it and choose Decimal. change the value from 0 to 10 hit OK. Exit and Re Start your PC.. hope that solves your issue.
