I spent 1 year in the UK at uni and about 1 year now living in Belgium. They're both similar experiences but the biggest difference is probably the language (where I live, people speak dutch, where I work, people speak French). I really liked Han's advice at the end! When i moved here to BE, I would compare it so often with life back in SG but I soon realised that wasnt the right outlook. The whole idea of moving is to experience a diff way of life and now I can safely say I enjoy the experience and look forward to learning smth new each day :)
Im from Switzerland and now living in Tokyo. However, I had lived in Singapore before so I know how crazy expensive houses in there. Here in Japan, the price of housing is incredibly cheap ! I ended up bought 2 houses ( in Tokyo and in a countryside up in a mountain ). I would NEVER be able to buy a house, let alone two houses, in Singapore or Zurich with the same amount of money !
Could I come and share my experience living abroad too? Hahaha i am currently in melbourne for almost a year. Love to share my experience here as a singapore and how different culturally ❤
Can Singaporean stop saying malaysia is cheap? Its cheap to Singaporean becos of currency exchange. Malaysian does not find it cheap at all. Singaporean spend $5-6 a meal in sg and Malaysian spend RM10-RM12 a meal in MY. When a Singaporean earns 3k in SG and the same position in MY Malaysian also getting paid RM3k.
