ya i got sort of excited watching it lol. honestly super hero movies need more weird stuff, thats why i liked Kick Ass and Scott Pilgrim vs the world (i know its not really the same) so much. the superhero genre is just too safe IMO.

N.C. Lightning There aren't any superhero movies close to the artistic style of Wes Anderson and compared to Kick Ass and Scott Pilgrim, Watchmen is just as close if not closer.

This is by far the best "if X directed Y" video. Not only is it really funny, but wes Anderson has a difficult style to easily emulate and you did it perfectly.
Everybody is emulating the visual style now. Emulating the storytelling style like P(H)W did here? Precious few if any.

The thing is, imagine how spectacular and daring this film would be if Marvel and Wes Anderson were willing to do it. I understand why it wouldn't happen, but it also bums me out because I would very much love to live in a world where something like a Ridley Scott Green Lantern film or a Quentin Tarantino Luke Cage film were real, attainable possibilities.
I'd rather watch something that tries to be something more and fails, than mildly enjoy something that doesn't.
A Ridley Scott GL would slap sooo hard!
Thats why I hate most of hoolywood movies from this last decade. The studios avoid any risk and end up doing the same safe and bland film that everybody else is doing.

i think this would be better as a tv show. imagine a tv show where you invite famous directors who have no experience making a superhero film, to put their own flavor into making a 1 hour superhero movie. i would love to see Guy Ritchie do an X Men villain movie.

This confirms 2 things:
1. a wes anderson marvel movie would be absolutely bonkers and amazing.
2. This is far more accurate than 95% of wes anderson style videos on youtube already which means that all the wes anderson style videos are not as accurate as they seem and its not actually that easy to pull off his style. I could literally just pretend this was a wes anderson film and pass it around and nobody would bet an eye. Amazing.
I love superhero comedies, so this would be awesome if it were real.

Fun little parody watch. Makes me appreciate Wes Anderson films more. It's so easy to poke fun at the repetitive tropes of his films, but it's terribly hard to execute.

This is a more accurate true to the original comics than anything released so far. I would watch this. Just sharpen up the acting and cast more true to comic cast and bring back the original colours for their uniforms (including making iceman look like a snowman) and you have a very well made xmen film

I'm not sure what your point is. You said this video had too many black people to be accurate to a Wes Anderson film. I replied that he usually has one black person per film, and used an example of the transitions guy. (I don't know his name because I watched 'Life Aquatic' years ago, and don't particularly love it or any other W.A. films.) I could have easily used Danny Glover, who I believe played Angelica Huston's love interest in 'Tenenbaums' but I didn't. Either way, *my* point still stands~ this video used Storm= one black person= one black person in a W.A. film is par for the course. You may be right about a lack of random South Asians. As I said, I don't love his films enough to have spent ample time watching for themes. I'm here for X-Men and mockery.
No, as I said, I don't enjoy his films enough to invest, but I'm sure there's at least one under used black person in each. If I'm wrong, it's not a big deal. I don't care enough to care.
The fact that it's missing "And Bill Murray... as Professor Charles Xavier" is just unpardonable.
I've seen every video on this channel, but every now and then I like to come back to this one and watch it again. Pat has gotten way better at making stuff since this, but this video remains absolutely wonderful.
