A bit late to comment, but regarding Wittgenstein for if you are reading him still and for those interested, I have suggestions. The Blue and Brown notebooks are more or less Wittgenstein's own commentary or marginalia on his Philosophical Investigations. For the best commentary, Elizabeth Ascombe's translations and commentary do the best job of explaining Wittgenstein. By the way, John Searle -- not British albeit has an Oxford degree in PPE under Austin, is one of the most brilliant and influential philosopher today. Whether you agree or not, there is no denying his stamp and influence on philosophy. Disclosure: I had Professor Searle twice for Phil of Mind and Phil of Language when I was a Berkeley undergrad.
