The eagles winning the super bowl did so much for the fans of Philadelphia and people who aren’t from here don’t get just how much it impacted every day life. Philly is a sports town. But more than anything, it is an Eagles town. No matter how good or bad the eagles are, Philly is eagles town. Watching the eagles lose 4 NFCCG’s and a super bow between 2001-2008 really killed us. Nobody quite got it and when we finally did it, it was like a dream.

That was the most magical season I've seen from any football team. To loose your starting quarterback at a critical time in the season, and after losing key players to injuries during the season, and then to have a backup quarterback who played there 4 years before, left and struggled at other teams and got cut by the Rams, that same back up quarterback led the team to the superbowl and out played arguably the best quarterback to ever play the game. Like I said, a magical year. Those Eagles wanted that Lombardi trophy, the were hungry as fuck and would not be denied. I'm so glad I got to witness the magic. Still brings a tear to my eye and gives me the chills. Fly Eagles Fly
