Thanks for not being a a hole about this game like a lot of patriots fans have a great day and I must agree this game exactly what a super bowl should be
several interesting facts about this game ... 1) Matt Patricia was already in Detroit - the D was unable to control Foles's roll-outs - exactly half the Eagles passing yardage was garnered on those roll-outs ... 0 preparation ... 2) on the "trick play" there was only 4 men at the scrimmage line - the rules call for a minimum of 5 - Pats did not protest ... 3) post game Belichick hugged Pederson longer than his own wife, quite happy actually - incredible ... other instances of a minor nature also occurred ... there have been many references about a "fixed game" ??? ... not saying it was but this an uncharacteristically mediocre performance by the Pats coaching staff .... food for thought on Super Bowl eve ??? ... to finish, cannot see the Bucs being competitive vs Chiefs - no hometown glory for many future decades - Chiefs 34 - 19 or more !!!

Lifelong Eagles fan. Definitely the best Super Bowl of my life. I was only 11 at the time but during that entire game, I was so excited that I couldn’t sit down especially when Brady fumbled. When they won i couldn’t believe what I was witnessing. By far the best super bowl of my lifetime so far.
I was around 11 when the eagles lost to the Patriots in 2004. 15 years later i watched them get a ring with a backup QB against the same team who robbed us before. When Brandon Graham stripped the ball in the 4th i knew it was over. Go Birds
One of my favorite games ever. I also liked a fair number of the Steelers' playoffs (and Super Bowl games with Big Ben, since 2004.) I recall almost "umping into the TV screen when only seconds left and Pittsburgh would score, etc. Thanks for comment. I like the Eagles and I know New England had some years that were mostly all good players...as the Steelers did in 1970's. Last, that hype re Brady is too much for me; one would think he won all the games by himself. He mostly had a lot of fine receivers and they built an offensive plan that worked amazingly...not to take anything from Brady but I remember the Packers and Steelers especially were great because they had a running game and passing game, they also had emphasis on their Special Teams and etc. Take away the couple of great wide receivers in those years and things wd be different. Only a thought but some make these sports figures like gods.
As a Lifelong Philadelphia Fan, I can't even begin to explain the Feelings of Pure Joy, Happiness, and Relief I felt with the Eagles finally winning the Super Bowl!
Interesting that Doug did not initially credit Nick with suggesting the trick play when asked about it ruclips.net/video/0FF_DbJ3G68/видео.html at the end of the half.
Ill never forget my Dad had Eagles 1 Patriots 3 in a pool, such shitty numbers. He went to bed thinking he wasted $150, I woke him up 30 minutes later and told him "Dad if the Eagles kick a field goal you could win $10,000!" he stayed up with me and watched the rest of the game. I've never celebrated with my father so hard before, we were ecstatic.
Same thing happened with my dad in Super Bowl 49! When the pats scored late he got so excited because he won a couple hundred bucks. But then when he realized if that was the final score he’d win a few thousand, it became very tense. He looked on the verge of tears when the Seahawks drove to the two. But when Russ threw that interception and we realized he won, he started jumping up and down on the bed and giggling like a little girl😂 one of the most excited moments I’ve ever seen with my dad. It paid for a family vacation to San Francisco the next month. God bless Super Bowl pools lol
Brazilian here. Quarentine made me watch EVERY SINGLE copa libertadores and UCL final since 2000. Ain't got any more soccer games to watch, then here we are. Just hope Im not the only one doing this Lol
Watch both semifinals of 2006 World Cup......France vs Brazil (best individual game as a center mid)..Zidane. And Germany vs Italy. (The best game I have ever seen.) Than watch France vs Italy in final...
As a Jets fan, this was the best super bowl i’ve ever watched in the history of the game. Especially seeing the Pats take an L against a team that outplayed them.
damn bro you can see how badly this team wanted it, when they ran it was like they ran in fast motion, when they tackled they did it with all of their heart.
Spoken like a little fanboy......greatest night in Philadelphia history is July 2, 1776....you DO realize this is the United States of America and our Independence MEANS everything, not watching millionaires paid by billionaires....GROW UP Sally !
The strip sack was really just as big as the Philly Special, and Derek Barnett's recovery was underrated on that. He had the awareness and hand-skills to grab a bouncing ball in midair in a clutch moment and fall on it, rather than try to run with it first. There have been so many plays like that where the defenseman can't grasp the ball or tries to run before securing it, only to give it back up to the offense. Of course, clutch play by Graham, as well..
barnett also sacked and i think also stripped case keenum in nfc champ game while the vikings were still just 7 pts down. Barnett has been a better success than most fans think
Bigger!! That saved the game in the moment it needed to happen!! They needed a turnover to win the Super Bowl. Nick Foles grabbed one of the defense players Malcolm Jenkins I believe, and screamed STRIP EM!!! STRIP EM!!! And they did! He knew that Brady was gonna drive down and win if Brandon Graham didnt do that!!

Man that sack fumble at the end is going to be so iconic 20 years from now... It is going to become the "Down goes Frasier." moment of the NFL... I have never seen such a clutch moment by a defense who really struggled all game.
I’m not blaming Tom for this because god knows I wouldn’t have done any better, but how the hell did that happen. He wasn’t blindsided, that rusher came from the inside to his right. Wasn’t even an edge rusher!
@@bigpapi6688 I think he didn't expect his arm to reach out the way it did bc the blocker was right in front of him.... Graham gave it his all and tom just wasn't ready for it... I mean he had thrown for 500 yards and was a statue in the pocket all night .... He got too comfortable.
I can't believe we watched the best Superbowl of all time without realizing it till years later. Such a beautiful game I'm glad i watched this live and I'm not even a fan of either team. My most favorite Superbowl
After the birth of my daughter this was the best day of my life! Watching my Birds beat Tom Brady and the Patriots the way they did it with the Philly Special and being on Broad Street the night they won and for the Parade! Priceless! 🦅🦅🦅
i am an Eagles fan, but I think Packers-Steelers was a pretty cool game as well. Rodgers mastery was absolutely brilliant. It is a shame that he does not have more rings.
I was 10 when my heart broke from Tom Brady winning Super bowl 39 against the Eagles.. for the Eagles to win their first Super bowl against Brady & Belichick..with a backup QB.. days before my birthday.. was as sweet as it gets..🦅
To be fair the Eagles were about to drive and win that one in 2005 too, but Donovan McNabb got sick and started vomiting in the huddle so they couldn't get run the no-huddle fast enough. True story, look it up!
BRO WE LITERALLY ALMOST HAVE THE SAME EXACT STORY!! the first SB I watched was 39, and since Philly lost I became a fan (I wasn’t a fan of any team at the time) thinking they would come back and win over the Pats, plus I became a big fan of McNabb, T.O, Westbrook, Dawkins.. and I became a Philly fan…. I was 9 at the time.. but we never got back but I was heavily in attention to what Philly was doing every year, mid 2010s were rough, but 2017 was something special, then this game happened, it was down to the wire, I was on edge, then I literally cried when we actually won, I’ll never forget, and a part of my childhood and life is complete in a way and can die happily that my fav team accomplished winning a SB in my lifetime, but what also made it even better was that they beat the Pats, just like I hoped they would back then…. Can’t write that lol
Collinsworth and Michaels were about to have Bradys baby after they realized Brady had another opportunity to drive down the field and win a SB, but was denied. The surprise in their voice to see Brady fumble was glorious. Love this game.
i remember watching the game live and hearing "philly special" under the announcer before the play and before i could speak up they just absolutely shocked everyone with that play.
The plays that were made in this game is what separates this game from any other. Replays show incredible determination by all. No one wanted to lose even til the last second of the game.
i’m 14 right now and to this day, this was the best day of my life. i live in the bay area and going to school the next day being the only eagles fan was awesome getting to brag to everyone that my team just a won a damn super bowl
mfers hated me when I went to school with my merch on as a Patriots fan lmao. Specially after we won a SB. This game was hell of a game fs, but damn were there some bandwagon eagles fans at our school after that game.

Die hard Pats fan here, I can never watch the two we lost the Giants because it hurts too much. But even though we lost I still love to watch this game, amazing performance by both teams and the Eagles deserved the win in the end and I have nothing but respect for how they played🙌
I remember how I felt every play of this game, happiest and most ecstatic I've ever been, now we're running on a revamped team and still getting the job done. go birds! 🦅

This was such a fun and really great Super Bowl to watch. Just two offenses at their highest peak going at each other, as well as, defenses making plays. Great game.
Colinsworth is so wrong about that Corey Clement touchdown. At no point did he lose control of the ball. Just because he was tucking it into his arm doesn’t mean he lost control. And, the Zack Ertz play at the end of the game is clearly a touchdown also. The announcers were clearly biased towards New England.
The Zack Ertz situation is not the announcer being biased, but the rules being unclear about a legal football catch. Only in the ofseason after this superbowl did the nfl update the rule and said the 3 things needed. 1. Maintain Control of the football 2. both feet inbounds 3. Do a football act or have the ball long enough to do one. In this situation it is a catch because he has control, has both feet inbounds and did a football act. But the rule was not in place yet. So no fault of the announcers being unsure of that TD
here in 2024, as an eagles fan for so long this still gives me chills. from the spectacular offense to the green confetti going everywhere. what a time to be alive 🥲 🦅
I am a Cowboys fan, but damn this Eagles team was something special. To watch Nick Foles go out there and beat Tom..... I doubt I'll ever see anything like it again.

Yea while Patriots are always at super bowl. So I rooted for eagles because I liked some of the players and I got tired of seeing Patriots win it. I like Brady and every one but it's just one of those things I got tired of seeing them in the super bowl. Just like Alabama on college. Lol but I'm not trying to take anything away from Patriots or bama I just get tired of seeing the same ole team in it every year. Lol

I am a eagles fan also and I was so skier when they won
Enjoy it. It won’t ever happen again for a very long time.

I've never celebrated with my father so hard before, we were ecstatic.
glad my birds made yall some money
Same thing happened with my dad in Super Bowl 49! When the pats scored late he got so excited because he won a couple hundred bucks. But then when he realized if that was the final score he’d win a few thousand, it became very tense. He looked on the verge of tears when the Seahawks drove to the two. But when Russ threw that interception and we realized he won, he started jumping up and down on the bed and giggling like a little girl😂 one of the most excited moments I’ve ever seen with my dad.

As an Eagles fan, watching this game, especially the Philly Special and the latter part of the 4th quarter never gets old! Go, Birds!
Yeah they never mention the lopsided penalty calls either. Collinsworth is not a favorite.
The Zack Ertz situation is not the announcer being biased, but the rules being unclear about a legal football catch. Only in the ofseason after this superbowl did the nfl update the rule and said the 3 things needed.
1. Maintain Control of the football
2. both feet inbounds
3. Do a football act or have the ball long enough to do one.
In this situation it is a catch because he has control, has both feet inbounds and did a football act. But the rule was not in place yet. So no fault of the announcers being unsure of that TD
Also if you watch the angle from the sideline the third food he dragged before it was out
