    Great content, I just recommended your channel to a pastor friend of mine that’s become very involved in live-streaming their service since 2020, you’re a great resource.

    Posted here about a month ago on some of the in's and out's related to the tow new Go Pro 9's. Since then, have learned more about an issue we were facing related to turning the cameras off and then seeing both come back on after up to several minutes!! This resulted from having the batteries in the camera when using the media mod to get a clean hdmi feed to our switcher. Seems this is and has been a known issue to Go Pro and their recommendation is to remove the battery and run off the charger. (Not documented anywhere that I found.) Yes, that works and yes, we have the latest version of the firmware installed.
    Seems when the media mod is on, the camera switches to the battery versus using the power from a charger. With a preservice run thru and two live services, the battery would be down charge wise even if a charger was being used - another issue. Further, this at times, was intermittent - sometimes working fine but mostly not! (Am I crazy - I know I just turned those Go Pro's OFF.)
    Still recommend the Go Pro 9 for shots like inside of a drum cage and closeups of instruments!! The wide field of view even zoomed in does not work well for us because of our more open worship center and lighter backgrounds. Like any tool, there are pros and cons. Hope this helps others!!

    Thanks for a video like this for houses of worship!! We use two Go Pro 9's along with 3 Sony P/T/Z cameras and a fixed camcorder into an ATEM Mini Pro to live stream our two Sunday services and other events at our church in Apex NC! One Go Pro in the drum cage and one that is stand mounted and moved where necessary for an instrument shot. Takes some time to learn the in's and out's of the Go Pros. Are there any chat/sharing groups or similar for small to medium size churches related to live streaming??

    Hey, love the channel. I'm a pro flooring installer and would like to start live streaming on tiktok mounting the GoPro on top of my head somehow, and just going through flooring installation so my viewers can see it all live... my biggest concern is the battery life and the whole process of streaming, please get back to me or make a video how to live streak on tik tok always moving around and working with your hands!! Because I can't find any info on that or how to make that idea work!! THANK YOU

    My university is going to set up a podcast facility and I want to have very unobtrusive video capability as well. Considering GoPro cams to fee a small switcher rather than have bigger cams that become more crew hassle.

    Hi! great video!
    one question, i use a gopro hero 7 black to an atem mini pro, all is ok, no info on the HDMI out, but as soon as i decided to record on the gopro, i cant get out the REC time counter and red dot of the HDMI out... is there any solution you know for this? Thanks!!

    • @pavementdotmedia
      @pavementdotmedia  3 года назад +2

      Luis, I don't have a in the office with me, but I was able to test it with a 9, and the HDMi can be clean while recording, but it's limited to internal recording at 1080 60 if you want reliable HDMI out and connection to the ATEM.

      It shouldn’t overheat in that use case. I haven’t tested the 12 in that application yet, but it should work fine. Always test before using it in a mission critical setting.

      You can, and I have. You won’t have all the remote app capabilities but once the exposure and white balance is set, you’re good to go.
      Keep in mind that the older models don’t have HDMI outputs so you’ll need to convert the HD component signal to your final format.

    i dont like the quality image of gopro.
    i have propose to Blackmagic to think a MicroCamStream , under the same your box microCam. (go to blackmagic site microCam for the dimension)
    For me BM is very good place to do that:
    1" sensor;
    1080p 60fps;
    hdmi out;
    wifi (2 antenna 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz);
    USB-C for alimentation (power bank or AC)
    no record local, just stream flux;
    with mount lense like Sony FE (large and with some adapter can put nikon, canon full frame lens).
    that microCamStream could not expensive to make it but many many people will buy for stream for good quality.
    for me i see this box feature is a futur of stream. +-500$ without lense...but 1" sensor for me is very very powerfull more as 4k , 5k or 8k :(

    Great video. I am considering using a GoPro Hero8 Black for an indoor livestreaming bodybuilding event. The camera will be held on a tripod and pointing only to the stage. it wont move.
    Can I use this setup? I havent bought the GoPro yet because I want to ensure I can link everything together with a basic windows laptop (but my daily driver is a MacBook Air M1).
