- There are times when you need to get into a tight spot and lubricate a specific item without spraying lube all over everything. Here's an easy way to make a reliable, no leak, long extension pipe for your WD40 can of lubricant. A great addition to your wd40 arsenal for rust and squeaks.

Been doin this for years, also love the trick where you hold the flame of your lighter next to the tube while bending it and you can put a 90 or any other angle for that matter in the tube and spray around corners!
Brilliant idea.Thanks for sharing.
Good idea. Thanks!
This is brilliant. Thank you!
This is a great hack. I would make sure you use heat shrink that doesn't have an internal adhesive or sealant. I used that type and the kept getting leaks on the spray can nozzle because the heat shrink I was using kept clogging the connected straws with the sealant.
This worked pretty well. You just have to make sure you don't melt the straw. Ask me how I know! hahaha
Great idea
Great idea. Thanks.
3 things everyone needs in their tool box. Duct tape, zip ties and shrink tube.
True... I'd add super glue, bailing wire and epoxy! :)
And a thermos flask
This video showed up in a Google search. I had to come to youtube to leave a thumbs up and comment.. Thank you sir.
I appreciate that
In-genius tip!
i like the way you filmed & edited this.
+gammarayburst Thanks.

would this work for chrome spray paint as well?
Spare tubes? Usually loose the one, then have none.
smart idea!
Yer a freegin jeenyus ...Gotta d40 outta the way pulley bearings, Thanks!!
Thanks, mine’s going to be 120 feet long
@Chris Notap Was that a heat gun you used to shrink the tubes? What to do when straw won't fit into the spray can hole anymore? Thanks!
Nice!
can confirm this works, good pressure, no leaks 👍
Thanks so much for the super thanks!!!!
Chris the new macgyver
Nice!!!
I missed the red tube lol. Is there a way to create a new one?
Oh, if I could just find the original straw. Always losing it.
I imported all the gear, heat gun, black tubing, eye protectors, gloves, even a can of WD-40, cost an absolute fortune But I'll be buggered if I can get that red tube to attach to the can.
You can buy 50" straws on Ebay or Amazon for less than that shrink tubing costs.
Have you tried those? how good are they? I'm looking for a solution for hard to reach rustproofing spraying.
how do you keep the tube on the can? ever time I spray the tube flies off! can you advise ...
Push the tube in harder. They go in sometimes easily and you have to give them an extra push to get them to stay.

Thanks!
Hey Chris I was curious what your day job is?
These companies are losing out, they should sell a 10 foot roll of that red stuff for 1.00, its probably cost .05 I've been wanting to stop that squeak every time I let off the brake pedal, now I can git-r-done. Thanks Chris!!!!!!!!!!
Yes. That would be nice if they did.
Cool !!

Martin C yae
Pls tell what is the heating thing called ??
heating shrink
Random question, has anyone used this in a meter or more length and with hair spray, I’m working on a project.
Yes Nate, but I can't let you have it as I am still using it. Ask again in about six years time.
It would be good if a nozzle could be installed on it
What the heck was the black sprayer thing that shrunk the tubes?
That was my little butane torch.
👍🏼
Its will only last for a short time as the wd 40 is a very light oil made for penertration
No it's not.
Does anyone know where o find more tubes?
-If anyone needs longer straws , they make a thing called Shop Straw (neon green) 5 inch, 10 inch, & 50 inch
- EXTEND-A-LUBE SUPER STRAWS around 16 inch
-Then they also make these things called Hold-IT, The Aerosol Can 'Straw' Holder
-Fluid Film has a 360 degree extension hose that works on Fluid Film Cans .
-Kent makes a 360 extension wand hose as well. Kent KT14725 from Lawson Products
@@lightningsmokerXx That was useful! It hadn't occurred to me that you can just buy these straws!
an old biro or pen will have a plastic tube inside you can use as the extension and you should be able to push the original tube inside it.
Howw did you get that tube into the NON fittable hole in the WD40
The can accepts the tube when you buy it.
@@chrisnotap No Way the straw goes in without spraying the stuff all over yourself or top break off. SHOW THAT! Put the straw in the nozzle, thanx.
Oh! I missed the humour part! Yes, they do make it hard to put the tube on without that happening! Lol!
Why would you need a longer spray tube?
+20alphabet Comes in handy for squeaks under the dash.
