I work in EMS, wore the Haix Airpower XR2 for 2.5 yrs. Despite the zipper for easy on and off, I would wear them all 12 hrs a day, 4-5 days a week. I switched to Danners about 2 yrs ago, planning on going back when they wear out. Haix is very comfortable boot, none of my coworkers ever regret buying them. In fact, they’re still on my rack as a back up pair. I’d probably try these out if I didn’t just buy a pair of Solomon’s.

I have been using Haix boots for years, like literally two decades. Never failed me. Expensive, true, but made in Europe, so quality is a given. As ND technology wise, they rock! Thumbs up!!!

@@thehunt226 you said made in Europe so quality is a given … given what ? Quality is a given in Eastern Europe ? It’s a uninformed statement. And in my opinion quality has always been better in the USA. And if you think the EU isn’t socialist your delusional

Say it ain't so, Jon! Say it ain't so. You rep all us backpacking preppers. Stick to your guns with the trailrunners. I loved your face while Chris was bashing dyneema on the live cast. So funny when you two are together! Keep up the great videos

I’m a big boots proponent. They’re not for every situation such long distance hiking when your feet swell up or if you’re having to submerge your footwear completely in water but most of the time boots are the way to go.

I haven’t looked into this model specifically but I’ve had 2 pair of Haix AirPower X1’s, both in wide width.

Toe box to tight. If waterproof ya lost me there. Water proof boots also keep the water in so they cant be walked dri. Thats major cause of foot injury. Long mission feet get damaged.

Gore-tex doesnt let water molecules inside, because they are to big. They are small enough holes to let water/sweat evaporation out. That's why Gore-tex is renowned worldwide. Breathable yet wind/waterproof. These boots are made with Gore-tex
