FIRST LOOK: Haix Scout Hiking Boots - One Of The Best Pairs I Have Ever Used

- Опубликовано: 22 апр 2020
- As I mentioned in this video, I wasn't familiar with Haix until they contacted me, but after using these boosts for a few months, I am really impressed. The price point is coming in at around $245 so they aren't cheap, but I sense they will last for a long time. Comfortable and cool - that's how I would describe them. Check out the video and let me know your thoughts.

For the past three years I have been walking between 35 and 40 km almost every day. I'm diagnosed with PTSD and walking have become a coping strategy of mine. Currently, I'm on my third pair of Haix Scout. I bought my first pair 4-5 years ago. They are by far the most comfortable pair of boots I have worn. Besides of the Haix Scout, I also have a pair of Haix Airpower P3, a pair of Salomon Quest 4D GTX Forces II and a pair of Salomon Quest 4D III. Salomon boots are lightweight and also fairly comfortable over long periods of time. However, they lack the durability of Haix boots.
I want to buy the scout black. But I've heard so much different opinions about the size that I'm confused. Some people say they are very narrow and small and we should go a size up. What do you say?
@@JOHNSEVERUSFREITAS I would recommend to buy a (half) size larger than normal. The Scout is slightly narrower in the toe box compared to a boot like the Salomon Quest 4D Forces II.
@@4dd0 Hey boss, I'm on the same road you are. I found rucking as my . .strategy , it brings me peace and just something about being in the outdoors makes me feel awesome. I just picked up the Haix combat GTX. Good luck to you.
Boots and knives...my weaknesses. Thanks for a good luck at a nice pair of boots. I'll check them out.
I‘m wearing different Haixe shoes every day (365), and I’m absolutely satisfied with them. I have workshoes at work, hiking boots and every day used low shoes. 🥰💪
I had a pair of Haix Leather Military boots. leather uppers. they would polish to a parade shine even after a week trekking. Very comfortable to wear despite their weight. Very waterproof, great grip, easy to wear in winter or summer. They did require regular waxing with Haix wax but would come up like new every time... I wore them for 15 years before they started to fail at the seams. I have tried to get a similar pair but I think they are gone off the market, the closest comparison would be the "Haix Tibet"... if the Tibet is half as good as the Irish Army Haix boots I had.... they would be a great boot. .
I love these boots. I got just over 10 years out of two sets of secondhand boots, & I just spent £500 on two setts of new ones.
I had haix military boots, best i ever had. And now ordered scout model
I have to be honest with you I have not had good luck with the Gortex in foot wear when it's warm or hot out I sweat like a water fall try these out in the summer and do another review. Happy Trails
I have these brilliant boots ! Plus haix resole them as well !
I had these for about 2 years and the only problem I had was the laces rubbed on the bottom of the tongue that much it caused a whole to form and then they just went down hill from there but other than that they were good, nice review though man
Is this boots good in high Summer compared to Lowa?
Im using haix sience 2002. All I can say is that for me this brand is the best one. Confort, durability etc..
كم سعرها بالدولار؟
Bezt of luk....im signg of. Great that you have a great pay fold.......you sais it five times already.....e7 18B i do not reapeat. Thats why i had e4.
Pity the follow up (Scout 2.0) lacks that laces pouch. Luckily found an older '206302' pair in an on-line store in Germany.
Didn't they loosen as the boots were being worn, and that's why they ditched the concept? I have the 2.0 and the laces are tough as shit, so I don't mind them being exposed, they'll probably outlast the boots.
Great video. I can't find a weight for the boots. Really interested but too heavy and that would not be good for long distances. Thank you.
I have been using the Haix Scout for several years and I'm currently on my third pair. They are a bit on the heavy side compared to something like Salomon, AKU and Lowa, but you can easily walk long distances without discomfort. I walk between 35 and 40 km (21.7-24.8 miles) almost every day without any issues.
One of the best boots ever. The new standard issue of the German army.
But „Haix” is pronounced like “hikes”
Taller version of these the haix nepal are standard issue to french forces.
Germany doesn't have an army, since World war II

I've heard the scout wear small, is that true?
Maybe a tiny tiny bit but I’m pretty sensitive to size and they feel pretty true to me.
@@EverydayTacticalVids Would you recommend half a size up or to just order your normal size?
@@Admodeus I would probably go true to size. And if you have an issue, my guess is that they’ll work with you.
I’m not German, so fell free to correct me. But isn’t it pronounced like “hikes” boots?
haix is in german the name of the brand
Would it be your first choice to survive in the apocalypse? The question sounds like sarcasm but I am serious :)
Darn
Looks like no size 15
"Men's medium" = Fail. I wish high end boot makers would make EEE or wider. A lot of guys I know suffer the plight of zero high quality boots in EEE or EEEE.
Alt-Berg in the UK do a custom boot. Might be worth a look or call.
Haix provide one of the approved boots for the British Army
Haix is also used by the Danish military...
@@4dd0 And Irish and German too 👍🏻
What are they made of, gold? To expensive.
Yup
