I've bought a few pairs of ex military boots from online Army Surplus stores, and at first I was a tad hesitant about wearing someone else's boots, but the huge savings you can make tended to sway me, so what I do is change out the foot bed and spray the inside of the boots with an anti bacterial spray, treat the leather with a good wax and they're good to go. The boots I've bought have always been Grade 1's, and each time I've found them to be in great condition with hardly any wear to both the soles and the uppers, and for the prices they sell for, you just can't go wrong.
Useful advice - will definitely bear it in mind, as I'm in need of new boots... again! I seem to destroy them at an alarming rate no matter what I do nor how much I spend, so might as well give fabric ones a try this time round!
These have been great bargain boots for sure and I think will last me a life time as seem so well made. So thanks for you most kind comment. They are most certainly worth a look. Thanks Kev.
We send son to school in online Army Surplus parade ground shoes that can cost as low as £19 for shoes of the quality of £100+. They'll come slightly used, sometimes with name inside, but polished and broken-in, essentially as good as new. They'll come with rubber soles which perfect for school use. As they polish up so well, he has the smartest shoes in school.
Yep I so agree I had a pair of these a few years ago I used for digging on my allotment and a lot of out door works as I want these for again. Your spot on they are fantastic crafted boots and as you say can be picked up so cheaply still. Thanks for your super comment . K
Those boots look great ! I wear boots. They get dirty, scratched, scuffed and wet ! When I stop wearing a pair of boots it's because they are wrecks ! I suppose it's good that boots like this are sold off when in such a condition so someone else can get the use of them for a fraction of the price. I would prefer to buy from a shop so I could try them on. I haven't bought boots off the internet before so am a bit wary.
Lowa GTX paid almost nothing got years outta them! Had them resoled twice in 10 years. Sounds crazy considering what another set would cost however they have re-moulded themselves to my feet like gloves! Used boots are a bargain so long as you get an original matched pair. Have had missmatched pairs in the past!
Well OK, I'm no presenter! But I'm having ago here on this channel I note yet again that you have no videos on your channel! I do take all comments on board and try to do better I appreciate all comments good bad helpful. One can only try to get better. Do have a go and see how hard it is when you are talking to just a camera even well-seasoned RUclipsrs suffer from bouts of "And & Um at times.
