As much as I love all of their previous albums, I feel like FOTB is THE Vampire Weekend sound, if that makes sense. Like they've hit this perfect sweet spot in their music with this album. Lovin every track
It's because this album uses ALL of their styles they've used previously. The prior trilogy of albums each one had a specific tone and locational sound they were trying to be consistent with from beginning to end.. This album takes from all three of those albums and does a ton of new stuff without staying as a single consistent sound from beginning to end. You get a bit of everything that made them Vampire Weekend.
I love all of their music, but I feel like they keep getting better and better with each new album! One of the only bands where I can listen to their entire discography in one sitting without getting bored (and have done so many times, lol).
