There is a great hidden gem in the start of the Zoysia section here about DIY. Why you should do it instead of contracting out to a company. You will put the effort in, that that company will not... they dash and dart to all their lawns they manage. Unless you are in their face to be there to do twice the work... DIY!!! That is why I gave up with my company... they took my money kept it ok, but crabgrass and clover and and and... it looks terrible for cost I pay them. So wish me luck!! I am actually not worried about the "transition line" look... it looks better than hodgepodge clover, crab and onion grasses.
I’m into my second year of working on my yard at my new house. I feel like I made some progress last year but I am so tempted to just completely resod. @@stevedoyel how much milo did you put down? As long as you didn't bomb it, you should be fine to throw down the stress blend in a few weeks. Just be patient 🙂
I started my north texas lawn with a 4-3-0 about a week ago...No Potassium (Rookie Mistake). Can I come back with a lesco 0-0-7 on top of that, or more??? Love the videos..I just might figure this stuff out now :)
I've been using an electric on my zoysia but I'm headed to the store to get a Toro so I can cut lower. The grass has really thickened up so even at a higher setting it's too heavy for the electric. I put down a light application of 100% natural fertilizer here in central Texas to help recover from the freeze.

Love your videos. I have learned a ton! My yard looks so much better in the last couple of years since I have followed you.

I applied weed and feed and it seems like I have more weeds now and some parts of my grass is more green but I still have a lot of hay like patches and exposed roots. I have St. Augustine grass btw. Should I use this 7-0-20 method or try milorgranite? Great tips please keep it up!

Informative and well presented as always from LCN. Out of southern VA here, my St Augustine won't be in transition for a bit, but lots of weed clumps in weak areas and garden edges. What post-emergent should be used to spot treat at this point? Only laid St Aug sods last year, and hear it is sensitive to weed killer, just not sure how that applies to dormancy times. (Will pre-emergent straight after that too.)
I’ve been struggling with my centipede for years and right now it is at its worst! Dandelions have always been a problem but they’re taking over now. I have all types weeds and in SC I’m already seeing some green up. I don’t even know where to start.

Renting a place right now, cam from cool season to warm season grass. Yard is filled with weeds and drives me nuts. Gonna do the first mower of the year tomorrow after work and gonna hit it with some weed b gon max just to clean it up so it doesnt look so raggedy around here.
Hello 👋 I have a question I live in Idaho and I was wondering should I mow my lawn before applying pre emergent crabgrass and seeding or not thank you great videos
I had the Summer Stress Blend 7-0-20 which you no longer carry but have another version called Stress Blend and you suggest this being the first fertilizer to put down, so I ordered it. I will probably use the Summer Stress Blend in July. I have such a big lawn plan this year and also using the N-Ext products. Already put down the 007 w/prodiamine, and can't wait to start the Spring/Summer lawn care. My lawns looked good last year, but always room for improvement.
yes the stress blend is the same fert, we just renamed it. I like using the stress blend in spring for warm season lawns, but in summer for cool season lawns.
@@TheLawnCareNut Thanks I am also excited about using the N-Ext products this year on my Meyer Zoysia lawn. Last year it was mostly 8-1-8 and Milorganite, I am now trying other things along with other grranular fert, but will probably use Milorganite at times this year.
@@TheLawnCareNut Would love to see some kind of pod cast on lawn care, fert, etc. for Meyer Zoysia and Bermuda in Missouri, specifically maybe St. Louis.

Why wait to put anything down? There's things that already need to be applied now.
@@JM-yx1lm I m new to this so the last thing I would wanna do is further kill my already dormant/dead grass, hence the wait.
Love the video but I love on the SS of Chicago you left us out ... and what about raking? Should warm season also get out ? It’s about to snow for the last time here but I watched the cool season video and did a taking just to get up the leftover 🍃
Hey I actually talked to your guys first ruclips.net/video/smj_ku-ARLw/видео.html
I got St Agustine at my home and what gardeners here in Central Mexico call "kikuyo" grass at my mother's, which looks beautiful as long as you mow it regularily ( at least once a week ), what can you tell us about caring for it ?
Great info in this video as usual !
What happened to Milorganite that's hard to find in the big box stores?
Milwaukee been in lockdown all year. Nobody at the bars putting down cheese curds.
haven't found them at the big box stores, but smaller ones have them in stock like a local True Value or Nursery.
the demand has been to the point where they can't keep up but I had a call with them earlier this week and I think you will like some of the plans they have upcoming!
‘Muda in west central SC greening up nicely already. Scalped 2 weeks ago.
good work! that scalp for sure speeds up the growth which is nice!
Louis.
By the way I called the dollar weed and that is because of you man......I never knew weeds names until you said learn the weeds!!!!!!
Jacksonville FL here with St aug and my grass is fried hay some parts. Had to rake out and re sod. Looks all butchered. Very sad and losing morale.
Keep watering a lot. 1in if healthy, 1.5in if not. New sod needs water everyday at first. May want to put down some imidacloprid w/ beta-cyfluthrin + DiseaseEx + Seaweed on non watering day + check for soil compaction as well + get a soil test.
@@webeducation so far watering sod religiously daily for two weeks still green. Used air 8 rgs humic and micro green on rest of grass last month. Under the sod and in the non-sod bare areas and patchy areas I threw down Scott’s top soil raked it in.
