    Hi guys, thanks for all the comments! These are my tips on what I do to get ready for a date out. Please don’t take these as rules and ultimately do what makes you feel good inside and out 😊. It is important to be yourself and embrace your individuality. I had lots of fun filming this video with Alfred. Thank you so much for watching. Love you guys! 😘

    There's so many people saying you're beautiful if you're just yourself, while that is true, let's be real. People naturally prefer someone who takes care of themselves, go a little extra and do something nice and you'll probably feel extra special about yourself!

      exactly!! for me, I have very sparse eyebrows, so filling them in is a must for me when I have to go to the store or anywhere. I helps me feel better about myself. I'm a very confident person, but I do like to make myself feel good about it. it's the little things that matter. my grandmother always told us to dress appropriately.

    Why do people always get upset when people say to work on your appearence? There is nothing wrong with keeping up good hygiene and putting a little effort into your face and hair, that's like common sense. Do you want to go out of the house smelling bad and looking like you just got out of bed? If you got offended by that maybe you should take those tips. Sick of people shitting on people who say tips like this, this isn't forcing an image on you, she didn't say do everything exactly how I did it or else you suck. Are ya'll that insecure that you can't even listen to someone saying to take care of yourself and your appearence, and to smile? These are just tips she finds makes her look nicer, no one is free of flaws and there is nothing wrong with trying to look a little bit nicer. Take that stick out of your ass.

    Wow, I think people focus too much on finding stuff to be offended/critical about nowadays. This video isn't about changing yourself to fit a standard. It's about caring about yourself enough to make sure you look/feel your best! If you are looking nice and showing a positive attitude, doesn't it boost up your confidence? It doesn't mean you absolutely have to wear exactly what she is in the video, but just look put together, smile and be approachable - that's it! Show positive attitude and people will be attracted to you naturally. Stop being so critical about everything for God's sake. Great video, Tina, as always! Love you! 💜

    these are just her tips and opinions. Not demands. She’s just expressing what makes her appeal more attractive and portraying them as ideas and tips for others. She’s not saying you NEED to do these tips. I don’t know why people keep saying that she was shallow for doing this and not getting the message. They just have to criticize a good video and make it seem bad.

  • @xxbren876

    I think people are exaggerating. She just pointed out what you could do if you want to impress someone or enhance your beauty. She not telling you to change. It tips you don't have to take it. Be honest if your going somewhere fancy and nice- are you not going to put makeup or at least have nice clothes for a special event. For example prom, graduation,first date in fancy restaurant... Blah blah... Yeah right, so why are people whining?

    Why the hate ? Do you guys not put in any effort to look good and feel good about yourselves? It is normal to want to look your best for your partner , dressing up to impress your partner on dates. If you go out on a date with a guy with bad breathe, sloppy clothes, sweaty scent, it that a turn on or turn off ? Also, this is just a fun video. Not in any way should this be taken as offensive or seriously. Some tips may help others, but if it doesn't seem useful to you, then don't be negative.

    Oh good heavens.....so for a first date you should show up after you haven't showered or brushed your teeth in a week? Wear the same sweats and t that you've been wearing for 2 weeks? And slouch around, dragging your feet in the tennis shoes with the holes in them.....really people. All she is really saying is make an effort to look presentable when meeting someone. Dress appropriately for where the date is to occur. If it's at a 100 dollar a plate restaraunt, dress accordingly. If it's at an amusement park, dress accordingly. But make an effort. Show them that meeting them means something to you and you feel that person is important enough for you to make that effort. You don't have to pile on makeup or wear stilletos or a tight dress.

    People are taking this too seriously, like really, this video does never tell you to follow these "rules". You get to choose whatever you are comfortable with, and it's not like if you don't do these you won't be attractive. You can rock your own style in your own way. Seriously I don't think Tina should be getting any hate over this video, just saying💓

  • @potatosaladd
    @potatosaladd 6 лет назад +37

    I kind of foresaw that there would be many negative comments about the video once I started watching it.
    People, these are TIPS, they are TIPS, by no means you have to follow, and if you don't agree, just leave quietly.
    These are suggestions to "look" more "attractive", so obviously they are superficial. Seriously? Are you going to "look" at someone's thoughts and values at one glance? And since it's aimed to make you look more attractive, it's naturally going to give you advice on how to make yourself look "better" than you normally would at your home.
    It's not going to say, "hey, be in your t-shirt and sweatpants and wear flipflops, you'll definitely look better in that!" That's for comfort, not good looks. OF COURSE you can wear those if you want to, but it's not associated with being "more attractive" which is the title of the video.
    Also, most people (except one in a million natural beauties and teenagers) are not going to look better in their natural look. It's really a lie. Why do you think so many youtubers teach the "no makeup makeup look"? And so many viewers too. Makeup done right definitely still makes you look natural, just with your features enhanced. I don't mean instagram glam looks though. It's about not having too much. Guy who say they like girls without makeup really mean they like you with makeup that he can't tell what you have on. A little foundation for better skin look and color correction if you have any blemishes, definitely brows, cheeks, and a tint of light-worn lipstick is best IMO.
    Believe it or not, people do "look" better and more put together, when properly dressed-up. People who look good in gym outfit definitely still look better in other clothes. Though it's a matter of personal taste if you want to dress comfortably, and if you want your partners to look relaxed, this video applies to general audience, and definitely applies to East Asian countries (where I live).
    So many comments really don't make sense. I mean, what did you expect when you clicked on a video that says, "9 Ways To Look Instantly More Attractive "? And she did mention in the end that, confidence is important, and (once you get to actually talk with the person), you can be yourself and let your unique personality shine.
    P.S. Realistically, many guys won't even be interested enough to try to know you when you're not attractive.

    • @NekomaruArt
      @NekomaruArt 6 лет назад +3

      Renn Li so true. Agreed with ya. I wonder who would want to present themselves in flip flops, messy hair, smelly (not a lot of people would spritz perfume smelling nice at home) and wrinkled larger than own body shirts to a date, or hang-out or a place where people gather or party? C'mon people, do know the differences between be yourself and look attractive. You don't wear 'house-clothing' to a date, or someone's party or a gala dinner/glam party/event. Seriously.

While I agree these aren't what define beauty, have enough common sense to see that she made this video for a dating app. She's giving you tips on looking attractive in the context of dating, not as "the way you are isnt good enough". And please, let's get real. You may already be beautiful naturally, but you can be/feel even more beautiful when you take care of your appearance.

    Being yourself is the most attractive thing you can do. I love your channel, but don’t really agree with the many tips you provided to make yourself look pretty. You were gorgeous with your shorts, simple tank top, hair and flip flops. 😂 High heels are pretty painful in my opinion. I prefer wearing my hair down and doing nothing to it while wearing what makes me feel like me.

    • @writeartsing
      @writeartsing 6 лет назад +39

      Marianne Parker your point is totally valid! I saw it in a different perspective though. I saw these as tips to accentuate the natural beauty you possess. Like the straightening your back to look more confident, if you want to do your hair pick something easy that will flatter your face shape, etc. Right? They’re more like tips to flaunt what you’ve already got!

    • @thespriggan4636
      @thespriggan4636 6 лет назад +18

      raaducay I totally get what you’re saying. But the way she words it is a little weird. It kind of sounds like you can’t be attractive unless you’re wearing high heels, a dress, makeup, etc. I think anyone can look beautiful, even in an old t-shirt and sweats. But of course that’s just my opinion, nothing against anyone. My thoughts aren’t facts. c:

      Seriously, ugh, Tina means well by this. So what, if you have a interview to go to your just going to go dressed like a bum? Don,t think you'll make a first good impression. Looks are important if you don't take care of yourself then no one will want to talk to you if you don't look presentable. No matter how smart, nice, funny, etc. you are with people. I'm a true believer than ones personality should represented outside as it is inside.

      While u wish for an idealistic world where first impressions do not matter, it will never happen. Whether u like it or not, looks are important to most people. It doesn’t mean that you have to transform entirely, but at least put some effort into how you carry yourself.

    In my opinion, I partially agree with your tips, Tina! With the hair, makeup, smile, and whatnot. But most of the time, I prefer wearing casual clothes and sneakers. As long as I look presentable but still being myself. 😃 Thank you for this video, Tina! I appreciate it so much! 😄❤
    As for the audience, I'm sure most of us love being ourselves (already), but let's remember that there are also insecure people who mostly likely try to be somebody else they're not and probably need this video. 😉 Anyway, God bless to everyone and take care! 💕

    I really enjoyed this video. The basic tips to really up your presentation game! People seem to misunderstand the concept of your video and take it as shallow tips but it truly isn’t. Going on a first date or any date means to really amp your usual look without hiding who you are. You can take these tips as a grain of salt and add your own unique touch. I hope none of these comments offend you! Love you!

    Hey Tina! I love the concept behind this video, but I feel like it kind of holds an unrealistic standard that people have to be a certain way for others to like them or find them attractive. People can have their own individual style, and I see that at the end of the video, you said to "be yourself", but these advice don't reflect that. By no means am I attacking you, I just wanted to put a thought out there.

    Love you and your videos tina but this video basically says if you don't follow these standards of beauty, you're not as attractive as you allegedly "could be". While this most likely wasn't your intention, I feel that the message being sent out here is really wrong. As someone who wears minimal makeup and baggy clothes to stay comfortable, I can say that I feel the most beautiful and confident when im true to myself.

    • @Samm1e
      @Samm1e 6 лет назад +11

      Nicole Fluff it's all her own opinion, she doesn't expect people to follow everything she says, it's just basically a video on what makes her feel more attractive

    • @samgrigsby3243
      @samgrigsby3243 6 лет назад +6

      I agree with your opinion on how the video comes across. But I also think that these things do make people more attractive to society as a whole. Even if that can seem wrong, in the end if that is your end goal, this is a way to go about it. Of course being yourself is beautiful, and it can be taken in a way of you aren't beautiful if you don't do that, and as you said that isnt the intention. I can see where both sides are coming from.

      These are just rules of thumb. Like she said, the most important thing is to be yourself. And you know what? You're right. A lot of guys can be really turned on by baggy clothes and no makeup. It shows that you're comfortable with him and confident in your own skin.

      i think a lot of people, too, are not well versed concerning Asia's female population deficit. it would stand to reason more men would abuse the dating app than women because in some parts of Asia men _are_ desperate. Asia is also very much male dominated in most parts. due to high rates of female infanticide, India and parts of China are in a crisis concerning a lack of women.

    Some people feel instantly fresh with a nice color lipstick, or maybe a new haircut/color or a nice outift...or all 3. If it makes you feel good and boosts your confidence then go for it. Our face and bodies are like a canvas that we can dress up or down however we wish. If I am going for a job interview, I will dress up a certain way, and if I am going out with friends, I change it up to reflect that. I think the main idea is be creative and have fun and explore. As long you are strong in your identity and know who you are, there is nothing wrong with changing the outside shell to reflect various shades of your personality (serious, sexy, fun, flirty...etc etc.)

    Usually love your videos tina but I really can't get behind the message of this one. The way you presented the video felt sort of awkward too. I think the last point is the most important and you shouldn't have to go out of your way to do yourself up just for someone else. If you want to do all that, that's great! But you shouldn't have to everything to get a date. Just wear what you wanna wear and be yourself, if someone can't accept you then it's their lose!

Looks are important if you don't take care of yourself then no one will want to talk to you if you don't look presentable. No matter how smart, nice, funny, etc. you are with people. Victoria Nemeth All she is saying is to take care of ourselves in order to look more attractive. Not to wear these specific clothes or shoes, but whatever fits us best. She is not telling us to do a makeover but to enhance our features and look our best. By saying be yourself, she is talking about our personalities, that we shouldn't pretend to be somebody else, because being yourself as a person is the most attractive. Plus this whole thing "no no don't wear that", was done in order the video to be more entertaining. Was this enlightening?
