    When installing the new sensors, do they need to be torqued to a specific rating?

    I got the cat changed last year for catalytic converter P0420 error on my 2016 CRV. 6 months down the line I got the P0139 error. I changed the downstream sensor this time. 2000 miles more I again got the same P0139 error. I called Denso and they sent me a new sensor because of warranty. I called the mechanic to reinstall the downstream sensor and he says P0139 error may be because of upstream sensor also and recommending to replace upstream sensor. I am so confused this is driving me nuts!!!!!!

      Gotta check for any bad connection or bad wires. Exhaust leaks will cause it also. But I don’t think an upstream sensor would cause that. It would have given you a different code.

      @@laketownautorepair336 I got this diagnosed at the dealer and he replaced the downstream sensor. I did ask him if there were any exhaust leaks and he said that wasn’t the case. I think he said 1 year 12000 miles warranty on parts and labor to be honored at any dealer.

      The only true way to tell would be checking voltage. The manual says if your voltage stays between 0.3-0.8V for 2 minutes at 3000 RPM to change out the sensor. I would say get a good brand but denso is good……. My go to brands are Bosch, denso and NTK for 02 sensors. But yea like I said only true way is checking data

    Hello. P0139 code I had. Replaced the O2 sensor & still have the engine light come back on after doing disconnecting battery. What else could it be. Not sure what a close loop system is. Thanks!

    • @laketownautorepair336
      @laketownautorepair336  Год назад +1

      Is that the only code you have?

    • @DCSPORTSTER
      @DCSPORTSTER Год назад +2

      If you put an aftermarket O2 sensor in it won’t work. You need to use an NGK sensor which is also an NTK sensor and put it in. That should fix your P0 139 code.
