Very very happy to see you Not doing a car review. Thank you very much for the real reason that I watch you and your families videos, Helicopter Videos.
Great video with a lot of very interesting info for a real helicopter lover. I can afford only RC helis, but love to fly them and the inspiration was coming from my passion for fullsize helis! Greetings from Poland!
Awesome video! The JetRanger was the first turbine ship I flew. Then I got into the Ls, now I'm in the 407, and I have most of my time in it. The 407 is leaps and bounds ahead of the 2 bladed Bell products. If you ever get the opportunity to fly one, you'll never look back 😂
Funny Micah mentioned Airwolf my buddy owns a blue bell 222 along with a 79 Long ranger(79LR) which he is trying to sell that are both hangared in those blue hangars on the west end of the Corona airport and he also owns a yellow Lamborghini Garrado. I’ve flown both but the 222 is a beast and a blast to fly but the L4 is a workhorse and super reliable helicopter.
I heard you say you grew up in St. Louis. You're probably to young to remember (prior to 1993) when they had helicopter rides on the riverfront. I used to go a couple of times a year. They started with Bell 47J, then used a couple of JetRangers and a LongRanger. About 12 years ago they brought back helicopter rides using Robinsons.
We lived 1 block to the north of Kirkwood Park back in 1989. According to Google, the festival still exists. Do you know if they still bring helicopters in?
That's a very smart looking 206! Would love to know how the hourly rate compares with his previous R44 in private operation. $100k for a set of blades and turbine overhaul costs mean big $$$s generally.
The R44 is the starting point for a lot of pilots, including the owner of this JetRanger. So I wanted to explore what it's like transitioning from the R44. But you're absolutely right, the JetRanger is more similar to the R66.
While I don't have the requisite experience with the R66, our friend James does, and he's spent time flying the 206 in this video as well. Perhaps, @micahmuzio we do another video with James comparing the two?
@@Kevin-438 point taken but, when I first saw his helicopter videos he did talk except I saw a lot more views from outside the helicopter and that’s why I watched the videos. Maybe he’s going in a different direction now.
@@RevolutionaryThinking Good point. I just discovered today that he had his own channel and didn’t realize it went back so far. I didn’t realize he had been flying helicopters for so long. I’ll have to check his older videos. But I know how you have feel. Before I started flight school I liked to watch people just fly the planes and listen to the raw noises.

I flew above the tree tops kitimat to Vancouver on one of these. Amazing flight.
Great stuff. I learned to fly in the Jet Ranger (TH-57) and really loved the simplicity of the bird. Thanks for posting!
Thanks for watching!

So great to see more helicopter content. Thanks

Hooray!!! Great to see some heli content again :)
The JetRanger looks almost new, I sure Brad's Lambo is stunning too!
It's wild how good his bird looks considering its age. It's the Paul Rudd of helicopters.
Wow, bucket list heli.
Such a cool video! Hope to fly one someday.
Beautiful 206!!!!!!!!
Another cool video thanks 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Excellent video!
If anybody... needs a lamborghini it would be a pilot
This man is a pilot in my estimation.
Coolest flying thing, ever. Iconic, warhorse, (calling Col DuVal) EMT workhorse & Magnum PI....
Don't forget Santini Air!
Funny, just yesterday I was looking through your videos for helicopter videos I may have missed (I hadn't).

I actually lived in St. Louis from 1988 - 1989. I'm glad they brought back the riverfront helicopter rides. Y'all have an impressive riverfront!
Shoutout Kirkwood Greentree Festival, last thing I expected to hear lol
We lived 1 block to the north of Kirkwood Park back in 1989. According to Google, the festival still exists. Do you know if they still bring helicopters in?
Thats instruction i can learn from your the guy to teach me to fly jet helicopters
Sweet music!
I really enjoy the 206, I have a few 100 hours in them.
Rich Lawyer, he must be good at what he does

Newer JetRangers don’t have the range extender, Bell got smart and moved the filler opening up on the fuselage to do the same thing
Should really have compared it with an R66 with extended fuel tank just based on capacities alone and turbine.

@@scue37 Could be fun. Thanks again for let me check out your sweet JetRanger!
How much more is the operating costs over the R44?
If I had the money, MD 500.
Like old welders, you don't see a bunch of elderly helicopter pilots anywhere.
I have no problem getting into a 206, but I'll never get in a R22 or 44. Not gonna happen!
Less talking please and more aerial views from the helicopter windows. Thanks 🙏 that’s the reason I watch.
I agree, he talks way too much!!
He’s a former car reviewer for KBB….this is startup and flight review…there’s going to be talking.
