I believe the tire falling off is sign from the machine not to send it away. At least it looks like many parts have been swiped off the machine. Good looks don't always make you money, but it'll make you feel better.
It sure is and we have sure built our farm on that type of thinking! I cant tell you how many times I was so happy we were able to maintain an older piece of equipment! Peter is very ingenious that way! Have a great night, Lynette and Peter
We love to scrap! Of course we live to keep stuff too lol, but it sure does feel good to finally tidy some of this place up! I've missed the last couple of your videos, we will be binge watching those soon! We just need a good relaxing Sunday afternoon to enjoy! Have a great day, Lynette and Peter( ps, we very much love your ideas and your videos) keep up the great work!
Don't worry about what others farms look like. I have a scrap pile that I go through every 4 years. Keep good iron and haul the junk. I spent my younger years on my grandparents farm. They didn't have anything with hydraulics. 2 cylinder tractors and belt work. Spent late summer on the binder and thrashing oats. Oh what fun. Lol. Some family members would give grampa grief about not having newer equipment. Grandpa tod them, "I don't have payments, do you"? That conversation would dry right up. I have and use my grandpa's 1930 D John Deere on steel, his 2 bottom plow, his Big 4 sickle bar mower, and a 1937 A John Deere tractor that has been in our family since 1944. The A belonged to Uncle Joe, grandpa's brother. Enjoy the day, don't wish them away. (Advice from my grandparents). MB BAR RANCH
Martin Benton I love, love, love that advice! Your Grandparents sound like amazing people and their words are great for all of us today! Have a great Sunday, Lynette
Thank you Robert; we are very grateful for this farm and for you as well! There are so many little things we havent shown yet that make this place really special! Like elderberries( we have gobs of them) all wild and a gift from God! We hope you have a nice day and we pray you will have your farm as well! Lynette and Peter
Robert Lamb hi Robert, stay tuned, Peter and I had a dairy meeting we went to yesterday that we traveled five hours away for! We did shoot allot of footage of our trip and will be hopefully posting by this evening! Have a great day, see you soon, Lynette:)
Your place looks awesome! Your one of the ones that inspire us! I do think scrap yards wouldn't survive without us farmers lol, have a great day, Lynette and Peter
Oh we do know what you mean! Some of the scrap we have has been hanging around on this farm from many generations! So it's time for us to clean up our act! Thank you for watching, Have a great evening, Lynette and Peter
Great video! Glad u got the corn picker to the scrap yard. We took our corn picker to an auction back in 2014. We just decided to give up picking corn for good. It’s amazing some the things people throw away at the scrap yard. I’m the kind of person if I can fix it, I will. I hate throwing away things that I know can be fixed. On the other hand I do realize though u can’t saved everything. Glad to see u guys got some rain and hope ur crops are looking good. We could use some rain and about ready to start combining oats. I would love to come and visit ur farm someday. I’ve only been in the state of New York once but that was many years ago. Anyways I hope all is well with u and Peter. Take care & talk later, Paul
Thank you Paul; we would actually love to visit you as well! We did get that 3/4 inch of rain and we were so thankful! That scrap yard is like six miles from our house and that muck is always perfect growing conditions( it holds the moisture)! We've made similar decisions about picking corn as well! Although we may do a video some time about how that decision evolved! Your crops look amazing! We have one of those smart TVs and your channel comes right up! We are working on second cutting hay which could be better, but we are thankful! It's always good to hear from you and have a great day, we will talk soon, Lynette
James O Brien we usually trust to grow about ten acres of corn for our pigs with the option of chopping it for our cows( in the event a drought or something drastic happens) we also grow some winter barley and sometimes winter wheat! We will grow a fall crop of oats and peas to make balage with( we always plant our corn on sod and we always underseed our winter grains with a forage mix) this fall we will be planting some winter barley! Thank you James( btw, you are one of the ones that inspire us) have a great day, lynette and Peter
James O Brien for starters, you believe like us that cows should eat grass! You have a great farm and you are always positive! We may not know you personally, but something is shining through that you don't see in yourself! You have a good day and if you don't think you inspire people then come chat with me on our channel! I'll tell you the truth about yourself! Lynette :)
++ for recycling and for the muck land. There is a stretch west side of Rt. 36 along Arkport south of Stony Brook State Park that I always admired, goo.gl/maps/29zgvYrCYhz or a bit of a side trip next time you visit Narrowsburg.

It could be true! I never discount even a machine from giving me a message! Everything happens for a reason
Peter n I think alike a dollar saved is a dollar earned.
