So weird that he could get hate for loving all people n letting that be known.

      It's fucking stupid because it makes it sound virtuous, when really we bisexuals just happen to be born with the ability to be attracted to both sexes and not everyone is like that. They will simply not be able to be attracted to someone of a certain sex, and it's not because they're shallow, it's because they were born hetero or homosexual.

    I get that everyone has their own preferences and attractions, and bisexuality isn’t the same for every bisexual, but I really disagree with Keith (the pan guy) because bisexuality was never just for two gender, you can be bisexual and attracted to male, female, non binary, and gender queer people etc ! So saying that he’s pansexual because bisexuality isn’t enough means that he just didn’t understand what is bisexuality and pansexuality. Also the thing he wrote on the board about being attracted to male, women and trans seems kinda wrong to me, cause a trans woman is a woman, and a trans male a male, it’s super rude to specify trans as if they’re not included or whatever...anyway if anyone really read all of this thanks and have a great day 🦋💫

    • @TaylorClaman
      @TaylorClaman 4 года назад +17

      I think what she means is that while bisexual people can have binary preferences, it doesn’t mean that you are limited to being attracted to cis-males and cis-females. While everyone’s interpretation of bisexuality will likely vary, sometimes people in the lgbtq community can be defensive about how pansexuality is more inclusive than bisexuality. Really, in my opinion at least, someone can call themselves bisexual and still be attracted to all genders. It depends on what label feels the most “you”!

      Cuz he says atracted to nb and trans but what about genderfluid , intersex , etc pansexual dont care about the gender identity while bisexual can pay more attention to that

      Bi means 2 so bisexuality is attraction to 2 genders (any combo of 2 different genders; male/female, transgender-fem./non-binary, female/transgender-male).
      If you are attracted to more then 2/any gender, that would be pansexual.
      Also, although I do believe someone who is transgender does not particularly require the title "transgender" before their descriptive term ,male/female/etc., I believe the word exists as a "gender" for the sake of identity and definition (depending on who you are)... or else the term "Cisgender" wouldn't exist, vice versa.
      It all depends on the person. There are transgender people who wish to identify as "transgender-(m/f)" and others that identify as only "male/female", it's their choice to identify to others how they want/feel. There are also people who, unfortunately, do not see transgender people as their realized selves and add "transgender" in front of their label to seporate them from cisgender people. Then there are the people that don't see anything other than Cisgender male/female and label you based on your biology at birth. So I think the words "transgender" and "Cisgender" live as a gender in order to satisfy everyone's beliefs. Weather you believe in one as your label or the label of others.
      It's kind of messed up but fair I guess. To each their own. I choose to respect others on what they identify as, but everyone's different...

      Hello there. The prefix "bi" means two. Bi people are attracted to two (both/all) sexes: male and female. "Gender identity" has nothing to do with sexual orientation, which is one's hard-wired sexual attraction towards the opposite, same, or both sex(es).

    • @markingjay7746

      Bisexual means being attracted to both presentations of male and female. That's where "bi" comes from. That can include trans people obviously. Also, considering yourself attracted to those two and also gender *identities" in between would be polysexual. Bi means 2, not 2 or more. And it isn't just 2 kinds of people, it's about both presentations as a sex, with there being 2. Polysexual is essentially what would be attraction to multiple *identities*. But there are lots of lots of people who think, they like both identities: There are okay with the term bisexual and the term pansexual. Some have a preference, which term they use. And I have nothing against it. Only that there are so many identities (bisexual, pansexual, polysexual, omnisexual, without a label, homoflexible, heteroflexible, queer and so on), that in the end nobody sees the bi+ people.

    I understand bisexual as the capacity to experience sexual/romantic attraction to both same and different genders. It is a multisexuality/sexually fluid energy compared to monosexuality (straight and gay for example). It does NOT exclude trans or non-binary. Transwomen and transmen are women and men always. Bi in the name does not support a gender binary. This is a biphobic misconception. It just means more than one type of attraction hence bi. For my understanding, pansexual is attraction to all regardless of gender, so it has a different feel to it. Yes, it does overlap strongly, but they are both valid. I know all these terms can be messy, but it's not all about the term. It's what you find as your fit, because each person is different. Much love to all you beautiful people trying to figure yourself out!

    • @joshsmith2760
      @joshsmith2760 3 года назад +6

      Lol, it's "pansexuals" who are trying to feel special. Anyone who is attracted to both sexes, male and female, men and women, is bisexual. People aren't attracted to "genders". Most people are heterosexual because they are hard-wired to be attracted to the opposite sex in order to reproduce and for our species to continue. Some people are hard-wired to only feel attraction to the opposite sex (lesbians and gays) or both sexes (bisexuals). How masculine or feminine one's partner is is only a preference, not an orientation.

    • @EclipseOfTsuki93
      @EclipseOfTsuki93 3 года назад +2

      @@joshsmith2760 No it isn’t, Pansexual is a different label from Bisexual. Bisexuality is attraction to both males and females or their own gender and another gender. I’m a guy, I’m attracted to guys and girls. Pansexuality is attraction to all people, regardless of sex of gender.
      For example a bisexual person like me looks for specific physical traits in the boys and girls I’m attracted to. A pansexual person doesn’t see their gender or sex of the person (and you can’t ever know the sex of the person unless you’ve got their chromosomal makeup on hand) they just see the personality. They don’t look for any physical traits of that sex or gender because it’s not important to them.
      If “most people are heterosexual because they are hard-wired to be attracted to the opposite sex” why is it then that a lot of straight guys are (ashamed to admit it) attracted to e-girls, who are actually boys presenting feminine, but not attracted to a butch, masculine girl?
      Maybe because sex isn’t a huge factor in immediate attraction. Sure, you might have a preference for a penis or a vagina, but until you actually get to that stage of a sexual relationship with the person, you wouldn’t know, and at that point, if you like the person that much, and their genitals don’t correspond to what you presumed they would be, quite a few people don’t care.
      My point is, engaging in absolutism on sex and gender is very reductive thinking, and it’s unscientific. Sex and gender are two different concepts, it’s why we have different words for them. Sex is physical and biological, gender is social and cultural. Gender is a spectrum, like an upside down triangle. Sex is mostly bimodal, that being most people are born with either XX or XY as their 23 chromosomes, except there’s a significant minority of people with different combinations, such as XXY, XXX, XYY, XXYY, XXXX etc.
      Maybe stop thinking in absolutes, and your mind will be able to grasp these concepts.

      Even if you want to say that gender and biological sex is the same (which it isn’t) you’re excluding anyone who is born intersex (1.6% of the population)

      If you are bi, couldn’t you still find a straight, gay, or lesbian attractive? If I am a straight male and I see a lesbian, that doesn’t determine whether she looks attractive or not.
