Five minutes in and had to pause it to comment. I’m from Birkenhead like Hayley. I spent 24 years taking crack and heroin. At my lowest I was a homeless beggar in Rotterdam. I’ve been clean now about nine years. To any homeless drug users that might read this I just want you to know there is a life for you beyond all that. My main focus these days is making metal detecting videos on here and helping people in that hobby overcome addiction. Well done on a great video and hugs all round for all the helpers and the homeless.
This is exactly why I don't take notice of folks who say 'the UK is finished' - they are talking shite. The people of the UK are generous, but where we need to be more vigilant is to make sure our efforts go towards people who really need the help. Keep up the good work, and alert us to the fakes!!

It looks like the only way things will change is if the general public take over the situation & keep calling these evil scammers out. The people need to shame them & drive them out of everywhere. Although you had spoken to the police officers, it came across that they didn't want to know, or in fact if they even were going to tell the right people about it. If that is so, then it is lazy policing & is not good enough. You were magnificent in confronting this shyster head on & you conducted yourself pretty much perfectly. Absolutely despicable "fake" homeless guy with the poor dogs. At the very least I sincerely hope that he cleans up his mess at the end of the day. Homelessness is such a huge UK-wide problem today - absolutely heart breaking and often as a result of family break downs, losing a job or something very similar. It's astonishing just how many community charities/food banks etc are in existence and, much needed, today. Far worse than I have ever known or, witnessed in past decades. I am regularly in touch with a local charity in Beds called "The Pavement Project". Keep up the good work Kev in highlighting all these issues.
Kev I was in town last night spoke to craig see he gave you the bag I spoke to team at primark I will go every 4 weeks they were happy had a bag of boxers bag of socks toiletries shave boxes was early so i went round gave out loads 1st including the the fake guy he wont get no more i remembered graham wants to continue studies bothered about his appearance hence the bag for him hope you dont mind me lumbering craig the team are always short of new underwear must have just missed you left at 7 30pm.so pleased to see team with all there stuff for these guys and girls back in 4weeks ok combs for hair next time they asked me.

Homeless people dont need food, they need a place to live and by doing outreach you are prolonging their misery. Liverpool City Council need to be made to pull their fingers out their arses. There is a demonstration outside the Town Hall on 28 February. We have been putting pressure on Liverpool City Council to end homelessness in this city and We are making progress. We need to stand together so be at the Town Hall on 28th february at 5 PM to help to end homelessness in Our city. That is how real change will happen. We helped to force Liverpool City Council to open a shelter to take people off the streets during the winter and we made them fumigate one of the hotels and change the mattresses. So, all outreach and all good people of this city should be outside the Town Hall at the end of the month to bring positive change to this city and the homeless peoples lives. Show your support for the homeless by standing with Us. All hands on deck. We are amazing people in Our amazing city and We will be the first city to achieve this goal of zero homeless.

Its why generally speaking i dont give money to people sitting outside shops because its hard to know who is and who isnt really homeless but I'll gladly give to anyone in real dire straits
I have seen that man and I did not know he was not homeless haven't gave him nothing and I always wondered why he looked put together and he has so many dogs.
The really sad thing is the Rspca cannot intervene in relation to the dogs with the fake homeless guy. The advice is ring the police and if the police have concerns they will contact Rspca. So wow I believe evil prospers when good people stand by and do nothing. Thank you Rspca, not!
And I think someone needs to speak to the white chapel centre and see what is going on because there charging the homeless £20 to stay in this place or something I don't know there is question marks on there service.
