Agree with me, agree with YammieNoob, I really don’t care either way as long as you form your OWN opinion, and that opinion leads to you picking the proper riding gear for your needs, that you’ll actually wear consistently. If you decide to wear Yammie’s recommended pants, use his link so he gets paid- tinyurl.com/YammiePants And if you decide to wear NBT, use code GIXXERBRAH to get 15% off your order and help with GixxerBrah’s lawyer fees- www.nbtclothing.com
Prop's for the video. Honestly, I've completely ignored him as primary content. Unsubscribed the moment he fired spite. This is the same guy who likes to stack the deck against things he doesnt like in his reviews. If you dont believe me, go watch his latest RnineT video.. where he rode the entire review in rain mode.. bitching and moaning about how "anemic" the bike was... No, Im not joking.
I’m not the biggest YN fan, but after low siding at less than 30mph and my NBT Aramids being the only PPE that failed I’ll avoid the brand. Especially after they reacted to their “guarantee” and deleted IG comments. I appreciate your response video and how well it’s done. I’d say the issue that should be and is being addressed is with YN himself, and how he handled the review. After my Rev’it and Alpine Stars gear holding up great for most of the slide and the NBTs shredding (at the knee aramid and armor section), I’ll never ride in NBTs again. At least not with any expectation of protection. I found a company in Canada called Ride Rich that makes really comfortable CE certified pants with CE-2 armor at the knees and hips. They’re pricier, but not Rev’it expensive and feel like they will actually protect if needed. Road rash is a pain, but especially on a knee - I don’t want to repeat that!
@@Mikkel111 every single time, it eats at me for days, weeks, or months till I figure out exactly what caused it, what to look out for and things that I could’ve done in that moment to have saved the bike or myself. I realized a lot of riders don’t crash because they barely ride, they only ride in perfect conditions, and/or the area they ride in is low to mid danger area. My first 2 years of riding I did 57k+ miles in all weather conditions from 12-107F degrees, rain or shine. Instead of running from the hazards I wanted to learn from them so I truly understood how to ride. The first 3-4 months I had my 660 I put 17k miles.
@@MadWilli wow, that is a lot of motorcycle riding I'm just getting back into it, I've only ever done fair-weather riding, and I think that's my future as well, but… Respect I'll check Ride Rich. My number one priority is protection on my old bod.
I don't like Yammie but to be fair here is kinda right, the NBT has no certification but is almost the same price as the well known certified/tested brands.
If we're gonna go down that road... let's talk about the DOT certification. It's literally just an honor-code sticker on helmets. There's no actually testing by the DOT, they just trust that manufacturers will meet their (out of date and highly flawed) safety standards.
@@snwbrdbum14 everybody recommends both dot(for legal) and ece (for actual protection). But is not only the certification, is the actual features. If i have to choose between 2 items that look similar and have almost the same price guess what i'm picking.

Buy what u want but if they aren’t CE rated I’d pass on them. They aren’t even cheap enough to consider over brands that are CE rated. Not just the armor
If as you say NBT is putting people in riding gear at a higher pace…how is that? For the price you can buy a quality CE rated alternative. I’m on the website and NBT is selling non-rated products for just as much as A tier brands. Never mind shopping sales. Good CE rated gear is comfortable. My Knox is comfy, my Revi’t is comfy, my Pando Moto is comfy.
Wearing gear isn’t cool??? PHUK that! I couldn’t give a crap LESS what anyone thinks. Anyone who thinks that hasn’t ate shit yet and walked away with just scratches and bruises and NOT being the next crayola meat crayon color.
not really, you know burch DMed every clothing brand out there and only got sponsored by NBT, trust me if he can switch over to saint he would do it in a heart beat
I agree. How many of his videos are him slamming every kind of bike rider except for his style of riding. If you don’t ride a desert sled and race at the track on the weekend, you are a squid douch that doesn’t know what riding is all about.
@@PATTT_ Yam has always conveyed a perspective of superiority. That’s where the luxury truck and Porsche come from duh. Ducatisa turbo busa track bro etc. it’s all for image sales what RUclips is based on
Personally, I was never the biggest Yammie Noob fan and after he fired Spite, I completely lost all respect for him. He's a subpar RUclipsr who got butt hurt his co-host was more liked than him. I've always thought his constant, 4 bike giveaways on his store were a super scam as well. Maybe he does actually give them away but he's CONSTANTLY got them going on to drum more attention to him for the views. That says something if a RUclipsr has to always have a giveaway going just to get people to come back or even watch his content to begin with.
Ya that video where he fired Spite and put it on his channel for views, then took it down after all the justified flack he got over it and how he handled it, showed him to be a cowardly, nasty, and utterly self centered individual. I unsubscribed and blocked his videos after that. Honestly his videos to be mostly useless/sensationalized anyways.
I was curious as to what it takes to win one of his "giveaway" bikes. Technically, it is a giveaway motorcycle as it doesn't require buying anything to win; but to do so would require you handwrite a contest entry on a 3 by 5 card in order to get 250 entries while platinum tier would give you 10,000 entries. Functionally, it works as a paid lottery as, realistically, 250 entries would be heavily diluted; since there's no certification if a 3 by 5 card is received then who is to keep track if 3 by 5 entries get "lost". I wouldn't enter his sweepstakes (paid or free) because the odds are unknown and unknowable. It's just a wealth transfer from poor to rich.
Right? I've never heard anyone say that and if you're in any riding facebook group you will get flamed for posting a pic not wearing gear. We out here trying to have fun while staying alive
To each their own, but I thought yammis video was very informative and unbiased… also you mentioned nbt had different lines of pants. Have you done any videos comparing the different lines they have?
Consumer perspective here, I bought NBT pants before they started hiring all these motovloggers. Wish I wouldve saved the few dollars to have bough the alpinestars denim jean instead. Looking back at it now, I wouldnt have purchased NBT. Too generic, fit is off, pads are meh. Really just screams influencer brand to me. And I dont even watch Yammie Noob. If youre looking for riding gear, save some money and buy some top notch gear.
I appreciate the perspective! As much as people think this is a paid video, it’s not, so I can say…yea the quality wasn’t that great at first a couple years back 😂 but it’s honestly SOOO much better now! Especially with the switch to aramid. After all this commotion, I’ll probably try some Alpinestars pants or something similar just to really see how they compare. Which ones do you rock? Got a link?
Fwiw, if you're an Average Height American, I'd say go Rev'It instead of Alpinestars. Great quality, lower cost (you pay a fair amount for just the AStars logo/hype/branding), and more variety in colorways (last I checked anyways). If you're a Tall Height & Semi-wide American (6'5" with 40 inch waist for example), Klim Pants are my suggestion. I've worn both Klim and Rev'It, Rev'It I like for the: Price Tag, the Tornado 3 Jacket has more pocket spots than my Klim Induction Pro, and for coming with a inner-liner (removable) at the cost. I like Klim because: they have measurements listed for their sleeve length, and also an XL Klim fits my XL frame better than an XL Rev'It does (1 inch short on torso length, about half an inch on sleeve length) Anywho.. Alpinestars... they run small in the American market, I'd need to buy a 2XL Glove if I order their gloves, my cousin (6'4" and a 36 waist) I took to local motorcycle dealer to get him fitted with jacket and such.. the XL Alpinestars jacket we grabbed at a Honda dealership looked like he was trying to squeeze into a Medium Skinny Tee, we went across the street to a Euro Motorcycle dealership (I was showing him Honda bikes, but wanted to try to see if the Euro Bike shop had gloves from Held, a German company) and we saw they had Klim over there, he put on a XL Klim jacket, it was snug on him, but not unwearable. (I'm tall and wide hips, he's tall and less-wide hips but more stomach/chest than me for context, my build for stomach and chest is Average) TL;DR Triple Check the sizing chart, and use RevZilla if you haven't. Rev'It is a very decent brand for the cost/value ratio. Klim is great if you have a big American frame (tall and/or wide sense) but if the sleeve length is fine, and you can just size-up for torso length, Rev'It is what I'd go with.
As another who bought NBT. I echo what you said. I'm pretty short and the legs are too long(and the only smaller size has the same length legs), the armor isn't gonna be in the right spot. are they probably better than some run of the mill jeans? probably, but not nearly enough to justify the cost.
@@LifeOfBurchI bought their pants months ago and most of the buttons on the pockets fell off and there’s a new thread to cut burn or pull every time I touch them. I’ve only worn them a handful of times. So maybe in the new batch will be higher quality but it’s still not amazing at the moment
@@willleonard4929 I just got one of the first pair of their new AA rated pants and let me just say…an INCREDIBLE step up in quality! Can’t wait to make a post about em 🤘🏻
You know you can just mold whatever they into the pad right? They could mold it to say CE rated x 1,000,000 but that doesn't mean it is. Just like how Chinese ballistic vest say theyre rated for 50 cal but crumple under a 9mm
I'll be honest, I don't comment on RUclips videos often, but this was about as good a response video as you could have made. I've only recently become interested in motorcycles, after getting a 50cc scooter last year, so I admittedly watch Yammie Noob. Not because I like him, but because I am just obsessed with watching videos about motorcycles all the time. I imagine his video brought a lot of eyes towards you in particular, but the way you break down the situation was very well thought out. The point about some gear's value/relevance is in simply being a gateway for those that wouldn't normally wear anything, is valid and an important point to make. Obviously, pointing out the false equivalencies and those sneaky affiliate links was a nice touch too. Keep up the good work.
A fellow scooter learner! I was too nervous to start out on a bike so I bought a 150cc chinese scooter. Hows it going for you? Im banging up my ankles pretty bad, and my riding is going great im just having a little trouble with starting and stopping and not panicking and getting the wobble lol. Im also obsessed with watching motorcycle videos. Have you decided on a sportsbike or cruiser yet for when you get your first bike? I keep teetering back and fourth.
@@post_cancer_beautycandyjon1049 I still love riding my scooter. I moved a little bit away from the beach, so my surroundings aren't as casual as they were, but I'm able to navigate pretty well in slower speed areas. Otherwise, no issues. I've always been pretty good with bike/dirtbike/scooter balance, so I've got the technique down comfortably. As for what bike, still unsure. I have a gift certificate to take my MSF course within the next month or so. I still like the Rebel 500 SE or the Eliminator. Kind of leaning away from a sport bike. So yeah, same as you, I have no idea. Lmfao
No hate to you whatsoever but personally I think nbt and most “armoured” clothes are pretty low quality for the price you might aswell get something from a reputable brand
So did I really hear "better to not use gear at all than use something slightly uncomfortable"? It's protective equipment meant to keep you safe when kissing the asphalt, not a f***g tracksuit... Gateway drug to protection?! Dude... it's THE most important thing related to your bike! DO NOT cheap out when buying gear, cheap out on your bike if you are financially challenged in any way...
Yammie talking crap about influencer marketing has to be one of the biggest cases of "the pot calling the kettle black" that I've seen in my 60 years on this planet. Every single one of his videos contains a sponsored ad with an affiliate link. His entire website and web presence exists ONLY because of influencer marketing.
I remember watching your videos from a couple years ago when I was considering getting a Rebel. Came back a couple months ago and started watching again, I personally go to your videos because you seem like genuine person who just loves bikes and riding. Keep doing your thing and supporting the things you like 💯
Can't say I blame ya, the like 1 AAA jacket I saw was a Badlands Pro A3, which I guess for what it's worth it's "only" $300 more expensive than regular Badlands Pro jacket but it's still 1.4k so.. yeah.. If ya got AAA rated gear, GREAT on ya (not just "good on ya"), but damn does AAA rated gear have a paywall and a half..
@@MotoDash1100 Depends on your style/riding use but there are budget options. John Doe V2 XTM Motorcycle Hoodie is AAA for ~$230 (plus $25 back protector). For jeans, Bull-It Guardian are $215. MC Gear Hub has a good list of gear by CE ratings to narrow it down.
13:58 Hey Burch, this line about traditional riding gear not being cool and how it makes people look like a derogatory stereotype didn’t sit well with me - particularly given some of your other statements in the video about how you didn’t realize you had more influence than you thought, how that made you reconsider wearing some form of riding gear, how people should make their own decisions, etc. as well as your overall positive vibe in other videos. I get that wearing more traditional riding gear isn’t your personal preference - which is fine - but why bash folks who choose to wear it and make it seem like they’re somehow “less than” by wearing it? At the end of the day, we all have different risk tolerances and we choose different gear / activities as a result but we do it because we genuinely enjoy riding and the more folks who ride the safer things get for all of us.
I think you misinterpreted what I said, or I maybe didn’t speak clearly. I wasn’t saying that’s how *I* view people who wear traditional gear, I was saying that from experience, the people in that age range or riding style don’t wear traditional gear because that’s how *they* perceive themselves, or fear *others* perceive them. For example, when I first started riding, I didn’t wear traditional gear cause I thought I didn’t “look cool” with it on, or I thought people would think I looked like a nerd. I’d rather “look cool” than be safe, especially at a time in life/age range where I still thought I was indestructible. Now that I’m older and can feel it in my bones when the rain is coming in because of all my previous injuries, I rock gear 😂 BUT lots of the people who are still in that age range/mentality, don’t rock gear at all because of how they perceive it. And I think NBT is helping to bridge that gap and help to make gear perceived as “cool” for the people who are still in that group. Hopefully that made sense!! Thanks for your perspective, and sorry for any confusion! 🤘🏻
Burch - thanks for posting your response. I agree that Yammie is a weasel but he has some good points. The CE ratings for gear and the ECE Rating for helmets are important. Shop the sales, get the best gear you can afford and protect your ass as best you can. Everybody has a hard get off sooner or later.
For what it's worth, I low sided into a guard rail at about 25-30mph while wearing the NBT LTR pants. The pants never ripped, the hip protection (ngl, laughably thin pads) padded my hip and I walked away with minimal injury. You made some good points, these were more protective than what I would have been wearing normally. The video of me going down will eventually be on my channel, probably in the next couple months.
Thing is I've low sided in regular Lucky jeans going 30~ and they held up. It really depends on how you land. Most of us will go arms first so our jacket will take most of the impact and abrasion. Also low siding you're likely still with your bike for the initial portion of the slide give your legs some leverage and likely the tip of your shoe getting the abrasion. In my case it was mostly my right shoulder and elbow and front of my shoe that got burned and eaten by the pavement. My jeans just had some dirt and light scuffing. I will admit even the NBT jeans, long as it's the aramid paneled version, are probably better than the majority of regular fashion jeans but even then not by much and are grossly over priced. You can get actual Aramid woven, not lined, jeans from brands like Noru for $70-80. Fully abrasion rated and armored jeans from Oxford or Dainese for under $200.
@@shauns5278 You're right. I have the Flat Out Bar on my FXLRS and that probably did more than any gear because it kept my leg from getting pinned. I bent the thing like 30 degrees when I went down. I had a little bit of road rash on my elbow because I was wearing a mesh jacket but it wasnt even noticeable at first. I did fracture my thumb because I was holding on until the end trying to keep her upright. My gloves couldnt have done anything about that. Do I regret buying those LTR pants? Not really because it was an upgrade. Will I consider different pants in the future knowing what I know now? Absolutely.
Imagine if we had RUclipsrs who had a pair of balls and researched the companies that sponsor them instead of immediately getting defensive and pretending like selling non protective gear as protective gear isn’t a scumbag move
Each time you dive into topics such as this, much like in your video about when you went full time on RUclips and parting ways with the restaurant, you really keep emotion out of it. That is one thing I admire about you. You try to take in all sides and understand from the points of view of all parties involved. Great work Burch!
thats such a shame, i've been binging all of the Yammie Noob catalog of videos since i've recently decided to get into motorcycles. I found myself really liking the Spite hosted videos and wasnt aware that he wasnt even working there anymore let alone got fired on camera. I did however see the pants video and thought it was weird since I might be new to motorcycles but i'm not new to content creation and felt like going after brands like that when no one asked for it was kinda scummy. Damn well I got some thinking to do but thanks for the informative video Burch. Love the content, i've also been binging the back catalog and gotta say you've sold me on the Rebel 1100, pretty sure that will be my first bike! ride on man!
Happy to help dude! Some of his stuff is helpful, but some of it isn’t the best. Just make sure to use your best judgement! And yea Spite’s been gone for like a year and a half unfortunately. Thanks for the support and welcome to the world of riding! 🏍️🤘🏻
Spite went and started his own channel. I think it's called Spite's corner. After I watched the video where he was fired I immediately unsubscribed and now refuse to watch any of yammie noob videos
Why? Spite is doing way better now. Yammie taught him everything he needed to know about running a successful youtube channel. Now he's doing his own thing, has his own brand and is making more than he ever has. I don't agree with the firing, but you can't say it didn't benefit Spite
Personally, I was mostly watching Yammie’s channel because of Spite and much preferred videos where he was more prominent. So in that case, Spite was benefiting him. Now I can watch him on his own channel and don’t have to be annoyed listening to Yammie haha
I really only watched Yammie for his meme videos and the banter between him and Spite. Overall, I liked Spite more because he always seemed to go into more detail when they were reviewing bikes. I'm glad Spite was able to recover and start up his own thing, but I never could watching another Yammie video. He just doesn't seem like a person I want to support just based of his reaction to the situation.
Except there are affordable alternatives that are actually useable unlike this Amazon crap. Just shop sales. I have AAA rated jeans and they didn't cost me anywhere near $300.
@@nosman123It's really good, honestly. Obviously, more expensive stuff will be better but it definitely serves its purpose. I got hit at relatively low speed going through an intersection and went for a good 30 ft slide and the gear held up great. I tore through one of the layers on the pants but the jacket just had tar marks from the asphalt.
Yami is right about those cheap knock off copy pants, which won't protect you at all. They are cheap copy cat crap, and you don't like it because the copy cat crap company sponsers you! That is pretty obvious. The are NOT CE RATED so you should not recommend them. Cotton and spandex has no abrasion resistance at all and is the same as wearing regular blue jeans.
He clearly doesn’t know much about fabrics because abrasion resistant fabrics weave aramid fibers into the denim itself or double/triple stitch an afraid layer under the outer heavy duty denim. The fact that he’s complaining about being called out for regular denim is concerning. His affiliation with the company should come with an apology and a disclaimer that later products will be certified but as of right now, they are not and do not perform as they advertise. Plenty of stuff is made in china, I agree, that doesn’t make them inherently bad, what makes them bad is not being built to standard. Just because it’s a new company doesn’t give them a pass to sell a product that doesn’t do what it says on the tin so to speak.
Don’t agree with Yammie’s points, but man- they’re not even abrasion resistant? Looking at their site and realizing that the fabric isn’t CE rated is definitely a red flag for me.
Just because something isn’t CE abrasion rated doesn’t mean it isn’t actually abrasion resistant, it just means it doesn’t have the official rating. For example, there’s plenty of helmets that are just DOT rated that may also pass the ECE rating, they just don’t have the actual rating because they didn’t opt to pay for the additional testing…if that makes sense. There’s a lot that goes into the actual rating. So their current pants have the aramid lining which is abrasion resistant and does waayyy more than regular denim, but not officially rated, and then they currently have an AA abrasion rated pant in the works, it’s just taking longer than expected with the whole process of the rating, getting the fit right with the stiffer materials needed, etc. Hopefully that makes sense. Definitely appreciate your perspective 🤘🏻
@@LifeOfBurch Definitely makes sense. Hopefully they get them tested to get certified. I don’t mind you being sponsored by them at all, I just wouldn’t buy them until they do have the certification as I won’t know their abrasion resistance until I really need it.
@@LifeOfBurch my biggest issue with NBT is they're charging a similar price to fully CE certified gear. If they were charging $80-150 I'd have no issues with them. But instead they're charging a fully premium price, lure people in with sales that have a minimum purchase requirement if you don't want to pay outlandish shipping and then try to keep you buying with their "loyalty" club and spamming advertisements every week. You can buy far better jeans from Scorpion, Icon, Speed and Strength, Oxford for $100 less and Oxford will even be CE rated while Scorpion and Icon aren't rated but reasonably priced and still stylish.
If they aren't rated, they aren't rated. As long as they aren't advertised as such, or claiming to be rated when they haven't been tested. I'm not buying "riding" jeans if they aren't protective, but that's just me. If the pads are claiming a rating, they need to be certified. Denim isn't abrasion resistant. Also, the best gear is the gear you're going to wear. But if the gear is just cosmetic.... lol.
Gotta appreciate the honesty & the fact that you pointed out the flaws in Yam's message. Ended up checking out NBT & they had a sale for half off on a pair of aramid lined pants with the CE1 pads & only had my size left so I had to go ahead & ordered those!
He kept repeating cotton and spandex because “denim” or cotton based clothing won’t hold up at all in a slide. He questioned if the pads were actually ce rated because they looked fake and really cheap. What it comes down to is if you want actual protection, you have to look for CE 1 or 2 and level A,AA or AAA rated. CE is for impact, the A’s are for abrasion. Either spend the money on legit CE rated gear or don’t waste your money getting clothes that look like motorcycle gear.
@@amatureskater15sorry you’re too busy sucking off life of Burch to not buy shitty products? This is an absurd hot take. You missed the entire point - which is, that some gear of some quality is better than no gear of no quality. As a 30 year old dude when I stared riding, I did not suffer the ego issue, and bought CE gear right away, researching ratings and ensuring I got the best protection. Point being, I agree with your criticism of "fashion" riding gear that isn't tested. But at no point would I say that the choice is "ride naked" or "ride in a full race suit" - that's fucking dumb, and you really oughta just pause for 5 secs, and think about how stupid that last sentence is on what's an otherwise reasonable point. For plenty of people, safety is not a concern, that's Burch's whole point - since we all pay for their hospital bills at the end of the day, if we can at least get them in jeans instead of shorts? It's a win. We can/should point out the deficiencies and false sense of safety that untested gear provides, it deserves to be called out. But, you're basically gatekeeping safety and that's fuckin' dumb. Imagine writing out "either buy a SNELL helmet or don't wear one" ...
@@epiphany6 eh, I agree partially but also the complaint that you can’t afford gear yet you can afford a motorcycle that costs more than a decent set of gear is very very stupid. You own a 600-1000 and you can’t buy good gear? Beginner riders I understand, but why upgrade to a more dangerous machine without properly preparing yourself
Cotton is cotton. It does not take a rocket scientist to know that if does not have Kevlar, or leather you do not have protection. Even with pads, the pads will be ripped right out because of what is holding them.
Nah. YN just pointed out obvious facts about how materials and ratings play into protection, this dude's just coping with bias bc he's connected to the company.
So one comment I have to make, there is a huge difference between actual traditional denim, and how most fabric used in jeans are now made. Cotton does not equal denim, and fabric weight matters a great deal, as does how the warp and weft threads are woven (individually and as fabric). Modern jeans are designed to wear out and fail quickly, the material (weight) is thin, they use things like spandex which serve to further weaken the structural integrity of the product (and these strands have to be woven to allow the cotton portion of the thread to stretch more). The result is that most modern denim pants short of something like selvedge have almost no abrasion resistance. I would avoid any motorcycling product with cotton & spandex (or even 100% cotton selvedge for that matter) as they are not designed for that kind of abrasion resistance. Pads also are only good as long as they stay in position during a crash/slide, assuming you actually are sliding on pads. P.S. I despise Yammynoob as well. Particularly after the whole Spite affair.
I like your videos because , you always seem to be authentic and clear about who you are and why you do what you do. including what kind of gear you wear.
Yammie had pants with basically no abrasion incorporated. (Which is useless as a protective pant) Currently the nbt pants have anti abrasion paneling in key areas. Skip all this and just buy FinnMoto motorcycle pants. They are 100% lined with 300gm kevlar from waist to cuff. They are great for cooler weather and cost $150 (US$) delivered from Australia to the US.
Seriously this. There are so many cheap if not ECE rated brands. Noru, Cortech, Scorpion, Speed and Strength, Joe Rocket. Even if they're not ECE abrasion rated they're at least FULLY woven and not just lined in key areas with armor and can all be had for $150 and way less!
The uglybros pants that yammienoob has are lined with kevlar(actually aramid, not DuPont branded Kevlar in this case), the other 3 pants he showed were not, or he managed to hide all kevlar lining in the other pants. The uglybros are still overpriced in my opinion.
I was unaware of this drama, but I appreciate you putting up the 2 bros' discount codes, and not your own 😁👍 I don't own any expensive big name motorcycle gear. I check the specs before deciding what to buy, and all my gear is CE approved. I'm sure there's more comfortable and more practical gear in the more expensive segment, but I don't think it's worth paying 6 times more for a few benefits that don't affect my safety. While I agree that some protection is better than no protection, I've pretty much been an ATTGATT rider since day one. I never understood the "gear isn't cool" crowd. Probably firstly because I actually think riding gear actually does look a lot cooler than shorts and flip-flops...
YN always came off as butthurt and a bit sinophobic ngl. The specific moment i was put off of his videos was when he referred to the CFMoto as a "wonton bike." Like say what you will abt CFMoto but damn 😭
Hey Birch & community - I’m trying to figure out if/how much protective gear I should use on the daily. I ride every day since it’s my primary form of transport. I commute to work for about 10 minutes, in a busy city with low speeds. Would you/the community use riding pants and boots every day? They don’t look great and don’t seem like they would be great for work afterwards, even after removing the armor.
After watching both videos (yours & YN’s), I just ordered some NBT gear (2 hoodies). I certainly appreciate your genuine opinion when compared to his staged / contrived rhetoric. I have been riding motorcycles since 1966, you finally convinced me to “armor up” a bit. Having survived the Vietnam Conflict, countless military parachute jumps, and the usual / general / stupid, testosterone-driven, bad ideas, I suddenly find myself feeling somewhat vulnerable. I may not be bullet-proof after all. I whole-heartedly enjoy your videos, and respect your reviews.
I'm with you man. Riding with the most protective gear is safer, but sitting on your couch is safest. Everyone has to decide for themselves what level of safety is acceptable. Having more options is better, not worse.
"Even if you think NBT is only 85% as protective as the gear Yammie recommended (hypothetically), I’d rather be 85% protected 100% of the time, than 100% protected 15% of the time." This is the kind of stuff that makes me think you have attended an MLM course at some point. Not to mention 14:02 - How Do You Do Fellow Kids? This is gross.
Yam has always come across as a narcissist. Feels like the reason he got rid of Spite was only because Spite was starting to get more attention than him and he couldn't take that.
Thanks for giving us your perspective, dude! I totally agree that it’s a bit strange that Yammie Noob is going after a young company and a product they are phasing out.
Like you, I’m not a fan of YN. Spite was that last straw for me. Yet my issues started with that Porsche crash and the comments he had about the victim of that crash he caused. Great video Mike. Unfortunate you have to deal with this clown.
Just my two cents here. First off, I respect your honest opinion. Secondly, I have bought many pairs of Amazon pants. Most of them were crap. I do not wish to be a 63-year-old man wearing skinny jeans. Have already ripped on me after normal use. If there’s anyone out there that shops on Amazon for motorcycle pants on Amazon may I suggest the NEO jeans from Australia. You will cook in them, but I feel that they would help you in a slide more than any other of the jeans advertised. Plus, they are loose cut. So I don’t feel like a 60-year-old man dressed up like a teenager.😂
All I can say is for the price NBT charges, I want actual protection. Slide protection is kind of important. Glad they are finally adding that protection, but the prices are still absurd. Its definitely an influencer brand, and the prices show that.
~$200 after discount for pants with aramid lining for slide protection and CE level 1 in the knees/hips seems par for the course to me. But like I mentioned, the pants he reviewed were only $150, or $128 with a code, so hard to compare something that inexpensive to the stuff he was recommending at twice the price.
@@LifeOfBurch Noru makes comparable Aramid panel jeans with armor for $70-80. Noru is a new brand but they're part of the Cortech umbrella of companies so have a couple decades of reputation backing them up. Aramid panels do not make pants worth $200. You seriously need to try some Knox, Merlin, RoadSkin or Alpinestars! Your mind will be blown!
The argument of company starting cheap and then improving works. If the initial product is cheap. And if you do not promise your customers more then they'd get.
To be fair if it isn't rated highly, and isn't from a repected motocyle gear company, I ain't wearing it! Stupid people can wear pov spec useless gear if they want, but I'd rather know I'm protected, not think I am...
I haven't watch yammie in a long time. But I've seen those same pants with the same designs on them. Even the pockets look the same as what's on Aliexpress. I've seen them there for years. Can trust a company pushing the same pants for 10x the price.
Thank you!!! I saw the Yammie vid two weeks after purchasing NBT GEAR. I got two pair a pants (the one with aramid) and the hoodie. They all fit great and are VERY COMFORTABLE!!! I have never had a more comfortable set of pants. My only complaint is that I can't find the # to call them.
LOL, I only watched YN's videos to see Spite. Once he was gone, so was I. As for the gear? I see reviews, then go watch MORE reviews, find written reviews, and find the flaws. THEN I make a decision. Just like one should, especially when it comes to PPE. Thanks for cluing those of us who don't watch YN in, just more reason not to go back. Ride safe, Burch! PS: I started out no gear, then gradually started wearing more gear... and after my accident in 2018 - I wear gear and at least long pants all year round. Finding comfy gear that has protection is the key. I still need to get some summer riding pants, but my head/hands/torso/arms are all covered, and most of the time I'm wearing m/c boots. Screw "cool", I'll take the protection.
As someone that once tried getting into riding and watched every motoblogger/tuber and educating myself (even motioing to countersteer n stuff)... After seeing what yammie did to spite, I just thought to myself, "thats scummy AF" then looking into his past wreck and now this.. just confirmed the dude is just there for the money to fill his ego and pockets and willing to throw anyone under the bus.
Yammie is a piece of crap but this video is doing a service. The best part of his crash was he set up a Go Fund Me for himself but not the guy in the Porsche! Who to this day is still partially paralyzed and was in FAR worse shape than Yammie!
Regardless of the closeness of the cotton/Spandex blend being to Denim, Denim doesn't protect you from a slide/abrasion either. If you are going to have a Denim jean for abrasion protection, then you need to have something woven/blended in like Kevlar.
The title piqued my interest, I generally just do the research myself but was curious the angle you were going to take. Even stating that you don’t like or care for YN, you presented everything respectfully and tactfully (that makes me sound old, lol). Anyway, nice video, I’m following for more!
To be honest I lost respect after he fired his friend. Plus half the time he just keeps repeating the same words and doesn't really have all that much in facts or evidence to prove the few facts he's trying to make aware. Your also right just because it's made in China doesn't make it bad it all comes down to a company's quality control factor. If quality is good who cares where it's made. If it's bad and constantly bad or getting worse then it's a bad product. I've never had an issue with my NBT pants EVER! Glad you had fun at Daytona keep the awesome content coming!
Full leathers is the only answer. In all seriousness, at least they have armor which is more than can be said for the hipsters that ride around in skinny jeans and sweatpants. It’s a good thing they’re incorporating more aramid lining though into future pants to make up for the lack of abrasion resistance. Personally I like to get my gear when the big brands are on sale as you can get $400-$500 gear for like $200-$300 when they put out a new style.
My grandfather used to say “the best knife is the knife you have in your pocket” basically the idea that he liked smaller folding knives because the big ones were bulky and he would often leave it at home instead of carrying it. Same idea with gear. If it isn’t comfortable or you think you look like a dork you’re less likely to wear it and it can’t really protect you from home.
I'm not here for the crappy motorcycle jean clothing drama (yawn) I don't believe the hype that they will offer the same protection as proper riding gear. life of Burch you should suit up whilst on any bike you ride. I'm living proof that the proper motorcycle riding gear (I wear textile) saves lives, I was young and dumb on a 2005 cbr600rr and had a tank slapper at, at least 118mph and walked away unhurt not a scratch on me at all. That's because I was wearing the right protective riding gear at the time. The gear I was wearing was trashed I was not. Heed my warning to wear the proper gear or just go about it with your fingers firmly glued crossed that nowt should happen on your ride outs.
I was wondering if you would make a video on this lol. That happened to be one of maybe 5 videos I’ve watched of his since he fired Spite. The kicker for me is he was bitching about the NBT and WINX pants for not being CE abrasion rated but then admits that the Ugly Bros pants aren’t either so it was all literally a moot point.
whole can of worms here. First off I dont care about Yammie Noob and Spite. As far as I'm concerned they are both scummy influencers, who are salespeople first, and motorcyclists second. My second point is I am skeptical about this video, You were just in Daytona with the owner, a quick "hey man can you spin this for us" conversation could have easily happened. Not saying Yammie in the right, far from it, but I would have much rather seen a video from a non sponsored non backed rider who was neutral put two comparable pants on a table and go through them. Ian from Big Rock Moto to me seems like the most honest gear reviewer, but he's more ADV gear so its not really in his wheelhouse. It would make you look better if you said hey im not happy YN used me in the video, check out this third party creators video they did a thorough breakdown.
Valid points my guy! I’m honestly just loving the fact that your handle is CheckingReality- very fitting for the topic at hand 😂 Also, I’m pretty sure there’s a third party guy who’s supposed to be crashing in an NBT outfit soon, so that’ll be cool to see the results. Apparently the dude is a “professional crasher” and is just gonna lay’er down to see the results 😳
Just found your channel because of yannienubs video. Was leaning towards the NBT pants and im definitely ordering some now. Also im not far from you lol was just down that way fishing last weekend
I’ve got a progression of their pants. I can honestly attest they’ve made improvements with each pair since I bought the first. Customer service is great and I genuinely like wearing them so much they’ve become work wear in the colder months.
Not a Yammie sub. I also hit that unsub over the Spite getting fired video. But I watched that video first so it’s fresh in my memory. He suggested the original because of the Kevlar lining and stitching. Which I’d agree on that. Denim disintegrates as soon as it touches pavement at speed. So doesn’t have to be CE rated. Just have at least CE rated knee armor and Kevlar lining for when you’re sliding on your ass. That’s what I wear after my slide down the highway a little over a year ago. I just learn from my own pain from accidents I’ve had. So the most uncomfortable thing I wear is my boots, but again that’s because my Achilles was almost severed while wearing low cut riding boots. I could’ve just removed my passenger pegs because that’s what sliced my leg open. But I needed new boots anyway so I just went with a tall boot with good ankle protection for peace of mind. I understand why you wanted to rant. It’s basically a situation of take what’s valuable from his criticism and ignore the rest because he knows how to get engagement and clicks. Good or bad he’s been on this platform long enough that he uses it to his benefit. Ride safe but also have fun 🤘🏽
How can you honestly say that paying 150$ - 15% for non protective jeans is in any way or shape shopping on a budget? Its the same as riding in 15$ normal jeans, or 70$ branded jeans, having the tag Moto doesnt make them worth 150, especially when they had it made and shipped for under 10, its just a scam, and youre no better then that other clown pushing shit products to new riders, you all have your own agendas, dont pretend like youre any better.
You responding to a hot topic is good for your channel. Asmongold responsed to everything popular, and people want to hear his opinion. He doesn’t take it personal either. He just talks about what people wanna watch. You should respond to more videos that your audience brings up. Keep up the good work brother!
Thanks bro!! I try to stay out of the drama and the limelight lol but figured I should respond because NBT is genuinely the only reason I started wearing riding gear.
I think it is best to have more aramid or slide protection than most of the nbt clothes. I am debating keeping the sweatshirt because it seems decent and it shipped with armor, and is high vis yellow/ green. I think I’ll be returning the nbt pants and keeping a pair from saint motorcycle gear that seems to have a little more slide protection.
My buddy who recently started riding fell for the NBT hype and bought every single piece of their gear. Lol As someone who's been riding, for going on 7 years now, the NBT hoodie is 100% worth keeping and is genuinely nice. The jeans are meh and should be 1/3 of what they cost. If you got them on steep sale not a huge loss but check out other brands and consider a return.
Honestly, I'm excited to see more competition in the motorcycle gear market especially casual looking gear. Last time I tried to find any, all of it was sold out from every company. I don't think NBT should get upset from anything you mentioned as it all really comes down to letting more people know that they're on their way to becoming a bigger and better company. It's worth getting excited over. I really hope they come to you with the new stuff to review. You were the main reason I bought my Rebel 1100 so why not throw in some new riding gear with it.
Lol I don't know if Yammie lost his partners or what but he hasn't even had actual gear for the past couple months. But even before that he had cheaper brands like Speed and Strength, think a few Scorpion helmets a handful of Joe Rocket, etc. nothing crazy fancy but at least reputable if not found cheaper on other sites. But screw Yammie the tool doesn't need anyone buying from him.
hi fellow marylander rebel 1100 owner, thanks for all your videos. it’s fun seeing you ride around all around where i’m from near annapolis. In this video what mirrors do you have? i really like them!
The most important points for those to consider (and I think the point Yammie was trying to make) NBT is not CE rated, although they do use CE armor in their clothing. Burch does bring up two excellent points: NBT does offer Aramid lined clothing, which is definitely much safer than traditional jeans and safer than the ones Yammie had in his video. Traditional gear might offer more protection but can be uncomfortable to wear and dissuade a user from ultimately using it, rendering it useless. Ride smart and ride safe.
@@kenbower6611 While this is true, NBT does state that they use CE approved armor (CE level 1), which per regulation does mean that the armor has been tested and certified in an independent and accredited facility.
Haven't watched scammy boob since Spite went on his own. I don't think NBT is the best gear out there, but they had the first pair of pants I ever found that actually fit me, with the protection in the right place.
NBT follows Asian sizing so I'd check out Asian brands like RS Taichi, NOT the same as RST btw, or Scorpion if you found the NBT fit comfortable. Italian brands such as Dainese and Alpinestars will also be fairly comparable but usually run a little longer but comparatively slim!
The exception doesn't make the rule - most of us would rather have a safe company. I'm with Yam's on this one. However, I was uneducated on it as well and I own NBT. They are comfy and the protection seems to be in good order.
If you like the jeans I'd go to a local tailor and pay them like $15-20 to add buttons for the armor flaps so they don't slide out. That's one of the biggest negatives on even the Aramid jeans in my eye.
I got a NBT hoodie a few months back, I love it and Burch is basically the reason I got it. I love it and feel good knowing I’m making a good choice wearing something safer then just a normal jacket. I also will probably save up and get the newer NBT pants as well here soon
Yea the hoodies are so sick!! I just got one of the hi-vis ones and love it. And see, this is what it’s all about- just getting people in gear that they love!! 🙌🏻🤘🏻
I’ve actually watched yamminoobs content since all the way back when he catapulted himself on the Daytona days. I’ve always noticed a toxic aura around him. The guy exudes arrogance from every pore of his body. Where I live in the Midwest, there’s the normal street riders like myself, then there’s the street squids who gotta be like sonic and “go fast” everywhere, usually riding a bike they financed at 19% interest while still living with their parents (probably mom because their parents are divorced). THEN there’s the elitists/track snobs, aka the guys who show up in 1 piece suits at bike nights on either a panigale V4S or Aprilia RSV. Yammi is the quintessential track snob. All his reviews seem to center around bike performance (hence how he always shits on cruisers every chance he gets). He doesn’t seem to grasp the idea that you can simply like something without throwing a buncha numbers at it. I gotta go look up the video where he fired spite though because spite was the only reason I even watched that channel and didn’t realize he left 😢
Sadly he deleted the Spite "exit interview" just a few days afterwards not sure if anyone reuploaded but it was genuinely heartbreaking. Spite's eyes were all red so you could tell he had been crying and he was just silent and soulless the entire time. Seriously fuck Yammie but this was really one if the few good videos he has done. I have been trying to warn against NBT for a couple years now they ARE NOT safe. The only semi-decent thing they make seems to be the Hoodie and even then I wouldn't want to go much over 50mph in it. But it is fairly thick and has a snug athletic fit which is what you want for riding gear. The jeans and omg especially the flannel is an absolute joke.
If an article is not tested, not approved and not certified then one of two things is happening - 1. the manufacturer isn't willing to pay for testing or 2. the manufacturer isn't making goods that will pass. Sometimes it's both. The point is: I won't ride in anything that isn't designed, tested and certified for the job. Safety is simply too important to be swayed by some random online.
6:20 look for the ce rating, i wouldn't trust anything with 90% cotton in it, are you kidding me? The fact that he describes jeans is not important. Jeans won't protect you unless they are made of other protective materials.
The ONLY reason I wouldn't consider NBT is literally because they don't have 10+ years of R&D to make their products better. I love cheap stuff but I am not gonna buy something that hasn't had the time behind the scenes to make sure the product is up to par. This isn't a phone, mouse, keyboard, monitor etc that you're buying. You're buying this to save your ass in the event of you eating shit on the road. I'm completely okay with shelling out money for better testing clothes so I can have a better chance of walking away from a crash or surviving one. Once NBT starts making better products and have more R&D, nothing against them but that is a solid complaint to have and a reason I wouldn't buy from them just yet.
not gonna lie i own 3 NBT jackets and 2 pairs of pants and they are not as good protection as ud hope for the price point tbh. they are better than nothing for riding around town i guess but should look into actual rated gear tbh. im a big fan of them for casual commune /style but wouldnt be my first recommendation for protection
Made the mistake of buying NBT pants. In less than one riding season in North Dakota I wore holes in the seat of the pants just wearing them. I now wear trilobite parado (not exactly cheap but very comfortable) or ironworks cargo riding pants (very comfortable and cost less than NBT).
*added* WHERE IS FORTNINE TO PROVE WHOS RIGHT WHITH SCIENCE?!??! A license is a license. A safety rating from a license is paramount. Would you wear a helmet without a license? Yam was dumb to fire spite. But he's calling out bs companies for loop hole products. Also the pads he's talking about feel so cheap they seem like a mold of a truly certed pad. Literally mine broke during shipment... they feel so so cheap it can't be real.
Hey man, Jammie lost me for the same reason you showed at the beginning. Anyway, had not seen something from you for a while, loved your channel when you were only doing this part time rocking the Orange Rebel 500, I hope you kept it. Good to see you still doing stuff.
Agree with me, agree with YammieNoob, I really don’t care either way as long as you form your OWN opinion, and that opinion leads to you picking the proper riding gear for your needs, that you’ll actually wear consistently.
If you decide to wear Yammie’s recommended pants, use his link so he gets paid- tinyurl.com/YammiePants
And if you decide to wear NBT, use code GIXXERBRAH to get 15% off your order and help with GixxerBrah’s lawyer fees- www.nbtclothing.com
Hahaha. Mad props for not recommending your own code.
LOL was not expecting the Brahs promo code 😂
Brah has a code? That's awesome 🤣
Gixxer brah doesn't wear gear so ofc he likes those pants lmao
This comment needs to be farther up...
I'll never trust a company that doesn't have a CE-rating for PE. Both my pants and jacket are AAA.
I’ve had 6 pairs of nbt pants not one lasted me more than a 2 months. Ride rich lasted me an entire year which consisted of 20k+ miles 3-4 crashes.
@@MadWilli Do you ever stop to wonder… Why do I crash all the time?
@@MadWilli wow, that is a lot of motorcycle riding I'm just getting back into it, I've only ever done fair-weather riding, and I think that's my future as well, but… Respect

I don't like Yammie but to be fair here is kinda right, the NBT has no certification but is almost the same price as the well known certified/tested brands.
This^
If we're gonna go down that road... let's talk about the DOT certification.

Agree. If I ever buy a moto first thing I do next- I'll buy some good full gear
Yammie has always been kind of an "im better than you" feel
Facts
not really, you know burch DMed every clothing brand out there and only got sponsored by NBT, trust me if he can switch over to saint he would do it in a heart beat
I agree. How many of his videos are him slamming every kind of bike rider except for his style of riding. If you don’t ride a desert sled and race at the track on the weekend, you are a squid douch that doesn’t know what riding is all about.
He does live in Austin, Texas. The least Texan city there is full of pretentious bastards.
I ONLY watched for Spite. I always hated Yam. The dude is just irritating as hell.
lol mabey he gives bikes away ok my guy
Ya that video where he fired Spite and put it on his channel for views, then took it down after all the justified flack he got over it and how he handled it, showed him to be a cowardly, nasty, and utterly self centered individual. I unsubscribed and blocked his videos after that. Honestly his videos to be mostly useless/sensationalized anyways.
@@packgrogI don't even like spite, I find him boring. But I subscribe and try support him because he was done dirty by scammy pube
"Wearing gear is not cool" has got to be some the dumbest shit I have heard a motovloger say.
He's stating the popular opinion. Doesn't mean it's his own.
@@python2400its still really stupid

@@python2400 You mean the unpopular opinion.
I like Klim because: they have measurements listed for their sleeve length, and also an XL Klim fits my XL frame better than an XL Rev'It does (1 inch short on torso length, about half an inch on sleeve length)
Anywho..
(I'm tall and wide hips, he's tall and less-wide hips but more stomach/chest than me for context, my build for stomach and chest is Average)
TL;DR Triple Check the sizing chart, and use RevZilla if you haven't.

I think there’s a difference when you are advertising a quality product vs a Chinese drop shipped underperforming knock off product.
A High End Pimp is still a PIMP
He gets sponsored by high quality well known and trusted brands. HUGE difference
@@think.culture Dang, youbeat me to the response! lol
True, But YN points still stand about the piss poor quality of NBT and similar.
I remember watching your videos from a couple years ago when I was considering getting a Rebel. Came back a couple months ago and started watching again, I personally go to your videos because you seem like genuine person who just loves bikes and riding. Keep doing your thing and supporting the things you like 💯
Cuz of this guy i got my 2024 1100 rebel and i love the bike
I have triple A-rated jeans and a triple A-rated jacket. Not taking any unnecessary risks :)
He's not bashing. He's stating the opinion of the typical young rider.
@@djakashaI think a lot of his old viewers immediately left, especially when Spite's Corner exploded overnight.
@djakasha Me too man! Yammie can go take a hike on the turnpike for all I care...
@@djakasha Me too. I watch every Spite video thogh! He just did a colab with Jake the Garden Frog!
Havent watched Yammie since the Spite thing
Yammie is a trash reviewer, he has that Logan Paul scam energy
Tried watching spites videos multiple times, just don't like them.

Some of us can't afford three hundred dollars for a pair of pants, and we need these more affordable alternatives.
Biiggg fax! When I bought my first bike I could barely afford a decent helmet, let alone riding pants and a jacket. So squid behavior it was 🫡😂
i see hwk gear all over amazon "cheap" but realy good reveiws
Except there are affordable alternatives that are actually useable unlike this Amazon crap. Just shop sales. I have AAA rated jeans and they didn't cost me anywhere near $300.
@@ericglazier2394 So where did you get them?
@@nosman123It's really good, honestly. Obviously, more expensive stuff will be better but it definitely serves its purpose. I got hit at relatively low speed going through an intersection and went for a good 30 ft slide and the gear held up great. I tore through one of the layers on the pants but the jacket just had tar marks from the asphalt.
I give you respect for coming out and staying your opinion and side of the story. I always love your content man.
@@DanDryfhout I can respect that 100%! Hopefully we’ll see the new AA pants ASAP! 🤞🏻🤘🏻
CE rating is a European Union thing just FYI
But if the gear is just cosmetic.... lol.
Super happy you did put this video out! Completely agree with not liking to wear actual riding gear but maybe it’s finally time.
Gotta appreciate the honesty & the fact that you pointed out the flaws in Yam's message. Ended up checking out NBT & they had a sale for half off on a pair of aramid lined pants with the CE1 pads & only had my size left so I had to go ahead & ordered those!
This is an excellent video man. I really enjoy the classic aimless riding and having a conversation videos.
Either spend the money on legit CE rated gear or don’t waste your money getting clothes that look like motorcycle gear.
what does Yammy's bathwater taste like?
@@amatureskater15sorry you’re too busy sucking off life of Burch to not buy shitty products? Sorry your life revolves around RUclips so much you think anybody questioning shitty products being shilled by somebody with literally the least experience in the moto RUclips space is somehow supporting another RUclipsr and not just against idiots shilling products
What would you recommend for pants that meet those CE and A's ratings?
@@epiphany6 eh, I agree partially but also the complaint that you can’t afford gear yet you can afford a motorcycle that costs more than a decent set of gear is very very stupid. You own a 600-1000 and you can’t buy good gear? Beginner riders I understand, but why upgrade to a more dangerous machine without properly preparing yourself
Both are speculating, and both didn't test anything for results, so both are pointless opinions.
And unless it's ce rated, meaning the company paid to have it tested, you have no idea if it protects you
I like your videos because , you always seem to be authentic and clear about who you are and why you do what you do. including what kind of gear you wear.
"Even if you think NBT is only 85% as protective as the gear Yammie recommended (hypothetically), I’d rather be 85% protected 100% of the time, than 100% protected 15% of the time."
This is the kind of stuff that makes me think you have attended an MLM course at some point.
The real question is whether any of the gear Yammie reps now is boulder rated or yellow Porsche rated.
The fact that u put the Brahz code at the end!!! 🔥💯 had to hit that like and sub! 💯

This is such a weird video and I don’t understand(besides contrarianism) why people put this kind of effort into this kind of content.
Why does "97% cotton and 3% spandex" from Yammie have the same feel as "properties of both rubber and gum" from Hisoka?
My biggest complaint with NBT is that they don’t have jeans that fit my legs. I’d have to get 4 sizes larger just to get them to fit.
That wasn't very close to being English, little guy.
He's been called out as a scumbag before. Doesn't surprise me and he hates cruisers.
Lol
As someone who's been riding, for going on 7 years now, the NBT hoodie is 100% worth keeping and is genuinely nice. The jeans are meh and should be 1/3 of what they cost. If you got them on steep sale not a huge loss but check out other brands and consider a return.
Ive been watching your videos i have a rebel 300 its a 2024 and its one of my favorite colors"orange" my other favorite color is blue.
Your honesty just earned yourself a subscriber
Honestly, I'm excited to see more competition in the motorcycle gear market especially casual looking gear. Last time I tried to find any, all of it was sold out from every company. I don't think NBT should get upset from anything you mentioned as it all really comes down to letting more people know that they're on their way to becoming a bigger and better company. It's worth getting excited over. I really hope they come to you with the new stuff to review. You were the main reason I bought my Rebel 1100 so why not throw in some new riding gear with it.
Bummer that this has to even be a video, but hey,
Thanks Yammie for giving Burch a free video idea! [Responding to Yammie stuff to be clear]
Thanks Yammie for making me appreciate other peoples content even more. 😂😂😂
First question I had, what brands does his store sell?
Lol I don't know if Yammie lost his partners or what but he hasn't even had actual gear for the past couple months.
But even before that he had cheaper brands like Speed and Strength, think a few Scorpion helmets a handful of Joe Rocket, etc. nothing crazy fancy but at least reputable if not found cheaper on other sites.
But screw Yammie the tool doesn't need anyone buying from him.
@@shauns5278 tells you when the last time I paid attention to him 😂
hi fellow marylander rebel 1100 owner, thanks for all your videos. it’s fun seeing you ride around all around where i’m from near annapolis.
In this video what mirrors do you have? i really like them!
never mind! found your video that you posted it thanks!
I unsubscribed from that guy after firing Spite, lost all my respect that day!
The most important points for those to consider (and I think the point Yammie was trying to make)
NBT is not CE rated, although they do use CE armor in their clothing.
Burch does bring up two excellent points:
NBT does offer Aramid lined clothing, which is definitely much safer than traditional jeans and safer than the ones Yammie had in his video.
Traditional gear might offer more protection but can be uncomfortable to wear and dissuade a user from ultimately using it, rendering it useless.
Ride smart and ride safe.
"CE" is self-certification. Nothing is tested. It's an "honor system". CE is not the equivalent of UL, CSA, or TUV.
@@kenbower6611 While this is true, NBT does state that they use CE approved armor (CE level 1), which per regulation does mean that the armor has been tested and certified in an independent and accredited facility.
@@kenbower6611 The abrasion testing is not self certified and costs BIG money to get the testing done.
Can you please tell me where i can order the mirrors you have on your bike?
So... Are the nbt pants yammie was talking about good riding pants? Should I get them?
On the knockoff not being back thing quadlock is a great example! Love there mounts
Thx for this analysis, no hype, just a well reasoned breakdown. Now, back to motorcycles, yay!
Thank you. We needed this.
