Like it alot I'm 72 years Old now & I make cards and Photo books since my kids were young for Birthday Party, With my Cricut and as Gift to my Family & Friends it's just Helps keep me from stress busy. Thank you for Sharing🤗💖👍
Ok so I'm late to the party.....story of my life. Just got the Glimmer Machine. Was so happy I found your videos. You answered several questions I had without having to ask. That's what makes your videos so awesome. Thanks again
Hello! I just wanted to add a few bits of info: --- Yes, this machine is not for everyone! But some people love it and will use it. I work REALLY hard to show a mix of options for my viewers. It is like clothing - there are TONS of options out there. You can look at them all.. decide some aren't for you... and find the things that are for you. Enjoy! :) --- Yes, you need to use Spellbinders foil with this. It is a special type of foil. --- This does not work with a Gemini Die Cutting Machine. (It works great with my Big Shot Express though.) B --- There is a similar machine that does work the same. I haven't used it yet but know it works in the same way and the company makes great products. This is that machine: www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Couture-Creations-HOT-FOIL-AND-LETTERPRESS-MACHINE-GoPress-and-Foil-Me-Anna-Griffin-CO725334-CO725334?currency=USD (The foils from this machine do work with the Glimmer.) --- If you have that Go Press, use that instead. They are similar. I chose to use the Spellbinders version because I remember seeing it at a trade show last winter and being WOWED. :)
Thank you so much Jennifer. That was the answer to my question. I have the Gemini and now know which one to use. As these have been out a bit, I am hoping the price might come down some now with competition. I greatly appreciate your time and effort as always.
Jennifer, thanks for the info. Will look into Couture Creations machine. The Spellbinders is a little proprietary for someone like me on a craft budget.
Wow and Wow!!! A) The holographic glitter..outstanding B) Your nails...Fabulous...love that color C) The ring on your right hand ring finger...what???? Gorgeous!! I'm obsessed!!! D) The card with with the foiled flowers...Amazing!! E) The 50th Anniversary card...STUNNING!! F) The Christmas/Holiday cards are Beautiful!! Great video Jennifer..Thank you!! xo
Thank you so much for this video Jenny. I have wondered about foiling for a long time but just wasn't sure if I wanted to make this investment. Now I know I do. I also want to thank you for the way you do the videos. They are easy to follow and you are easy to listen to.
Received a Glimmer Hot Foil System for Christmas 2023. I really liked this video as it showed me how to use my existing die cutting machine with my foil system. I am so glad I don't have to get yet another die cutting machine to be able to use my wonderful gift.
I was on the fence about this foiling machine until this video. I will be making my daughter’s wedding invites and this is absolutely perfect! I love that it has the letterpress look! It’s so elegant! Thank you for doing this video! And yes, please do more!
Thank you for taking the time to provide an overview of this suite of products. It helps me to make an informed decision and shows what the product can and can’t do. It’s so helpful to see this machine in action and see (almost) real life results.
Jennifer, I appreciate that you try out these new products for us, give us tips & tricks & show us lots of creative options. I'd love to see more ways to use this product. Thanks as always for your time & hard work.
Hello again Jennifer! I know I can always rely on you to give your honest opinion of the new options that are released for crafters! I purchased the Anna Griffin version of the Minc machine a few years ago. It is easy to use and I love that I can make my own designs without having to purchase specific additional dies etc. Having said that Anna also came out with a similar version of this kind of foiling system too. Thank you so much for checking out this machine, as I was really curious about it. You are wonderful about giving your honest opinions about new products and never doing the hard sell to purchase! You are always who I go to if I want to check out any new product. Thank you for taking the time, Jennifer. Most sincerely, Katz Baugh
I love it because you show us so many ways to use the foil, now I’m trying to decide which foiler to purchase, the Gemini or the spellbinders, thanks for the great demo.
Thank you for all of these lovely examples. So many options with this Spellbinders machine! I will have to investigate and see if my brand new Go, Press and Foil will do some of the same. Beautiful cards!
Dear Jennifer Thank you so much for this video. I love all the information that you've provided. The time and effort that you put into producing your video tutorials is awe inspiring. As usual the cards are just beautiful and I love the the added wow the foiling gives them. My husband bought me this as a birthday present and I love it and use it so much. Of course it's expensive, not for everyone but videos like the one you've made today allows your audience to make that decision as an informed one. Thank you again. Kindness and cheers Lisa
Great tutorial, as usual. I have a Go Press & Foil machine, and I can't wait to try some of your techniques! Thanks for the information. I would definitely be interested in more videos on this product.
FYI, I got one from Hobby Lobby and I was able to use my 40% off coupon. You can also order them from the website using your coupon. It was $71.99 plus tax
I JUST came home from Hobby Lobby with this! I don’t have any other foiling supplies so I’m really excited to play with it! Thanks for all of the ideas and inspiration!
Thanks Jennifer for an excellent tutorial on how to use the foiling machine. I have recently bought one and this was most helpful. I can see that there is a lot more potential then I first realised so am looking forward to more of your videos using it.
Love your cards, as always! Have the Go, Press, and Foil machine, which is very similar to this. One thing that may be helpful is to show how you squeeze the tweezers together, touch the magnet to the hot foil plate, move to mat, and release the squeeze to drop the plate. Many don't realize you don't try to pick it up between the tweezers. Keep the videos coming. Love FOILING! :) Thank you for sharing your talent with us. You are greatly appreciated! Hope you have a lovely day.
I'm a big fan of your tutorials, Jennifer and I dream about being able to make lovely cards like yours. I also love Spellbinders products, specially the dies. Thank you so much for all you do, you're an endless source of inspiration to me.
So glad to see this video. I just found out this week that Gemini makes a Fail Press machine very much like this. Just ordered it from hsn should be here mid November. I love my Gemini and decided that I would be happiest with the one that works with it. One of the most fascinating things for me on the demo of the Gemini is that you can cut out cardstock with your dies as usual and then just run through the yardstick with the foil and it will foil it. I can't wait to get it and try that because it seems that may be the feature I would use most. I love that simple leaf outline especially. Would love to see more of your videos and ideas about other things you can do with this. Thanks.
Hi Jennifer I live in the UK and I am a MASSIVE fan of your tutorials! Thank you so much I really appreciate all your hard work, I don’t have this machine but I’ve managed to gain some techniques that will work with mine! xx
Wow, you are really good at all this, Jennifer. Card-making. Excellent work. What an informative video too. But, man, I don't need another machine. I don't have room for all the ones I already have.
Oh Jennifer... that was sooo beautiful to watch. That will be on my wishlist as I have to make so many cards for my Congreation 😄. It’s just beautiful.
How I missed this video before is beyond me but I just found out about this machine and was researching it. Thanks for taking the time to review it and show us how it works. It’s definitely not for me but I enjoyed seeing how it worked. ☺️
Thank you Jennifer. I have another companies foil machine that I love-thank you for some new techniques! There is also a way to apply the negative foil, for a no waste foil transfer!
This is AWESOME!! I will definitely be looking for this at my local store. Thank you for taking the time to show this. I hope to see more of what it can do from you.
So many machines for that or another. On HSN,I have seen two Anna Griffin and Crafter's Companion. It's like all the Embossing and Die cutting machines. Little or mini to mid-size, to large ones. Manual to Electric ones. "But, I'm pleased to say I love, love my Crafter's Companion Junior and my CC mini!" Thank you so so much for letting us know what new on the market, Jennifer! You are a true "ANGEL!" I Love all your lessons, techniques, most of all your gorgeous "CARDS." Lots of Blessing and Happy Holidays. Don't went to long to show us more cards. I worry when it takes you longer or more than 5 days. LOL
TFS. Always enjoy your videos. Yes, more on this machine would be helpful. Crafty dollars are finite so information is always appreciated before deciding on an investment. I've been holding off on the Minc since it requires not only a laminator but a laser printer as well. Yes you can buy toner sheets but... This looks much more affordable.
CouzCat the MINC machine IS the laminator, it doesn’t require another one. And you can actually do foiling using heat embossing first. Jennifer McGuire shows this in several videos. The heat in the MINC (or any laminator if you don’t want the MINC) reheats the embossing powder so the foil pushes into it. I absolutely love mine.
Jennifer it would be so great if you were to gift some of the firs and stamps that you weed out of your collection. Through contest or something easy for you. I love love love your channel and the versatility of all your amazing does and stamps. Hope your having a good start to the simmmer.
Looks like lots of fun however, I can't afford more machines and special products that have to be used with it exclusively, nor do I have the room to store it somewhere. Too bad that one can't use the deco foils, which I have lots of. Maybe in another year or two I might switch to using foils this way, but for now, I have lots of great ideas for using the foils I have. Thanks for sharing this product, Jennifer. Always enjoy seeing what's new in card making and these cards you made are gorgeous. God Bless You!
This is so helpful! I never went for a laminator or a minc and I think that the fact this gives a letterpress foil rather than just a foil is a game changer as it looks far more professional. It might just mean I purchase it. Especially as I don't need to get the special foiling dies if I don't want to. I like that I can use it in my big shot and I don't have to have the platinum. Also the fact that the sand eraser gets rid of the extra bits easily.
I just purchased this machine and I’m waiting for it to arrive! I’m trying to figure out how the regular dies don’t cut the paper or the plates. I keep waiting for it to happen. Thanks for all the fun ideas, Jennifer!
I have the Go Press & Foil machine which is similar to Spellbinders! I’m always looking for new ideas and you have done that. If you have more ideas I would love to see them! Thank you again for sharing and making this easy to understand how!!! ❤️
Thank you Jennifer this is so interesting and i LOVE the cards Looking forward for next video. You give me so much encouraging in card making and I have learned so much from you so Thank you
I always love your videos! You are such a good teacher. I rarely use my glimmer machine because it is so hard to pull the platform from the docking machine. I have to use a stylus to help pry it out. Also your die machine is the same one I have but I have to use all my strength to turn the handle any time I use it. It looks like yours rolls through easily. Is it possible I got lemons? I love Spellbinders products but use my Sizzix die machine much more easily. Any ideas of how to fix? Thank you!
Beautiful cards! $120 for the machine is a bit steep though. It also seems like it would be hard to get images perfectly aligned since you can't tape them to cardstock. Maybe I'm just too picky that way. Lol Thanks for the video! Maybe someday I can find it on sale!
Not every machine is for every one! It is kind of like shoes - some people like expensive high heels. I don't, but good for them! :) you can use tape, I think. I didn't try it though.
I purchased the go press and foil. It basically works the same way. I've had it for about 4 months, maybe longer. Haven't used it a whole lot, get a little frustrated sometimes. However, I do use low tack tape((yellow frog tape on my case) and tape the edges of the plates to the card base to line it up. Have never had a problem with it not coming off the card, or leaving a sticky residue anywhere.
I am new to making cards, dies, and all the things. I am wondering how you manage to center your die/plates on your cardstock with them being covered by the cardstock. I just got the glimmer machine and am trying to figure out how to position my cardstock properly.
Like it alot I'm 72 years Old now & I make cards and Photo books since my kids were young for Birthday Party,

I'm later lol, expecting mine in the mail any day now.
Thank you for including the products used at the top of the screen. Beautiful cards with lots of visual interest.

Jennifer can you use other foils like the go press /couture creations ?
yes, you can use those
Just an FYI Gemini has a new foil machine that is shipping now on HSN only till the beginning of next yr. Twice the cost of the go press foil machine.
Jennifer, thanks for the info. Will look into Couture Creations machine. The Spellbinders is a little proprietary for someone like me on a craft budget.

GREAT TUTORIAL, thanks for showing what you can do with other dies
Received a Glimmer Hot Foil System for Christmas 2023. I really liked this video as it showed me how to use my existing die cutting machine with my foil system. I am so glad I don't have to get yet another die cutting machine to be able to use my wonderful gift.
I always enjoy your videos no matter the length. You explain everything so nicely and always make me want to go out an buy everything...... LOL!

My husband got me one for Christmas and so far I’m loving it. Your video was brilliant. Lots of helpful tips. What a great help to me

Thanks for the tip, Dena! I just ordered mine using the coupon. Even with shipping it was $83.94.
I JUST came home from Hobby Lobby with this! I don’t have any other foiling supplies so I’m really excited to play with it! Thanks for all of the ideas and inspiration!
Hannah Cleveland was the price more at Hobby Lobby? Thanks Hannah.
It was $119 but they let me use their 40% off coupon so it ended up being $71!
Thanks Jennifer for an excellent tutorial on how to use the foiling machine. I have recently bought one and this was most helpful. I can see that there is a lot more potential then I first realised so am looking forward to more of your videos using it.

Mary Fielder I didn’t know about this. I have a Gemini jr
@@pamelasertich9850 Yes, it is specifically designed to fit the Gemini Jr., but with an adapter plate can be used in the original.
Thank you for this!! I was on the fence but seeing the versatility it allows has convinced me to put it on my Dear Santa list
Hi Jennifer I live in the UK and I am a MASSIVE fan of your tutorials! Thank you so much I really appreciate all your hard work, I don’t have this machine but I’ve managed to gain some techniques that will work with mine! xx

Great looking cards and technique with such a fun glimmer foil machine...well done Jennifer and tfs
Thank you for show all the different ways to use this machine...very helpful.
Yes, please do more foiling cards
I’m so glad you did this! I think it’s such a different process from the laminated foiling, and just as useful. Great having your take on it though.
Thank you for sharing. Can you show us more with this machine please
Wow, you are really good at all this, Jennifer. Card-making. Excellent work. What an informative video too.

Fabulous video. You are definitely a gifted person. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge.
Thank you for the video. I am considering a hot foil system and this seems like the best one for making cards.
I have so much fun with those foiling machines, Your cards turned out absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing all your tips and tricks!
I liked this video a lot and am interested seeing more. Thanks for explaining so good.

Looking forward to learning more, great video
Your cards look amazing with the foil. Those are great techniques.
Just got mine a few weeks ago ready to use now thanks for the video

Also the fact that the sand eraser gets rid of the extra bits easily.
I LOVE this Jennifer! I would like to see this in more videos. Thanks for all you do.
I just purchased this machine and I’m waiting for it to arrive! I’m trying to figure out how the regular dies don’t cut the paper or the plates. I keep waiting for it to happen. Thanks for all the fun ideas, Jennifer!
I love your videos. I binge watch them! PS love your nail color today.
I am trying to decide which foiling machine to get. So more foiling techniques videos please.
Great video! Another crafty tool to consider adding to my collection! I'm already getting some ideas of cards to create! Thanks Jennifer! 💖
I've looking for a machine that, I can use my dies ti foil. Thank you for all the info. and this video.
I have the Go Press & Foil machine which is similar to Spellbinders! I’m always looking for new ideas and you have done that. If you have more ideas I would love to see them! Thank you again for sharing and making this easy to understand how!!! ❤️
Oh my! The infinity ornament dies look great!
Absolutely beautiful cards, tfs!
I love this video and would love to see more videos on this. Now I'm going to have to get me one.
Thank you Jennifer this is so interesting and i LOVE the cards Looking forward for next video. You give me so much encouraging in card making and I have learned so much from you so Thank you
I would love to see more videos. Thank you so much.
Absolutely beautiful, you are so talented and amazing. I love to watch you create!
love your videos and now I've got another tool to put on my wish list!!!thank you I think!
What beautiful cards! This looks like a cool machine. I like how it creates a letterpress look with the foil. 🙂
Thank you!
beautiful cards❤️ always enjoy your video👍
Hi Jennifer..looks fabulous...love your Art 🐨🐨
Love your video can’t wait to get one of the glimmer foiling playes
Lovely! Keep 'em coming! I just love your videos.
Thank you. You are terrific
Happy to help!
Just got my machine but haven’t played w it yet. Research first. Thank you.
gorgeous cards, thorough tutorial and gosh darn a very expensive video!
Great video! Very informative! Thank you!😊😊😊😊
Lovely video as always! Thanks for sharing your opinion! I'll be sticking to the MINC for now, as I haven't even mastered that!!
