I ordered a diamond painting the other night and I’ve been watching tutorials on here since I’m totally new to this. Your tutorial is by far the best one I’ve watched 👍🏼 Super informative and so many great tips! Also I like your technique the best and I’m definitely gonna try to do mine the same way :) Thanks for the upload!
I think I prefer not using a multi placer. I like to checkerboard and prefer the results when I do that. My current painting has greyish-white for miles so I force myself to do work on that for a bit when I first sit down to avoid having to do it all at the end.
Great video. Thanks heaps for your advice. Got my first one the other day, and cant wait to start, just wasnt sure how. Your idea of cutting the top looks good 🙂👍🏻
I only tried the multiplacer once. I feel like it's a bit of cheating, but mostly they don't look as close together to when I do them individually. I love doing big spaces of the same color 🙈 But I love the squares, I don't like the spaces between the drills
I know this is an older video - but perhaps someone can help me - I was just setting up my first painting and the diamonds dont have DMC numbers. when I finish sould I just put the spares to good use or save them until I get a colour to match. I was thinking of using all the unfit drills and any odd bits of resin to make a path on a fairy moss garden - perhaps I should just save them up for that I find your videos to be some of the best - I do think its the calm way you speak :) as well as the content
What a great video, I think is one of the best in YT! I got my first DP today, it has a clear cover but there is glue that extends outside of the drilling area, does that mean it is not poured glue? The canvas does not have circles around the symbols and I just did a small section and they look crooked, not all nice and lined up like yours ☹️! Also when I shook the tray the drills did not line up in the grooves and several fell out. A disastrous start! Plus I don’t know if the diamonds are nice or not, when I look at the baggies it appears some are smaller than others and I really don’t know what I should be looking at. I can get better with practice.
If it was a clear cover, it is more than likely poured glue. Sometimes they do extend over the drilling area too. I use washiest tape to cover these. The canvas' without the circles round them are better as you can't see them peeping out around the drills but it can take a little practice to get neater.
Hi there Im new at this and iv just come across ur vlog and i wood love to try it I have dyslexic and i want to no a few questions so please can u help me R they all round diamonds or can u get square? What diamond picturre one shall i start off with? R the numbers etc big enuff 4 me to c or do i need to buy a magnifier 2 u? What can i buy to put the diamonds into to keep me from losing any of them? Do u get spare diamonds in the kits incase u drop or lose any? Please can u help me please as im living in the uk and want to no where 2 buy the kits? Thanks 4 great vlog as iv lost my mum dad and 2 sisters and need something to take my mind off things just 4 a while ❤
Hi Angela, I'll answer your questions the best I can. They do round and square diamond paintings. I tend to get a mixture of both as I like both of them If you haven't done any, I'd say round would be the easiest to start with. The numbers should be big enough, but I don't know your eyesight, some people find a magnifier helps, but not the majority. I use lovely small storage containers, but ziplock bags would be enough, or maybe a pill dispenser type box. They tend to give more diamonds than needed, which is good as many end up on my rug. If you want somewhere to get them for a good price and quick, Amazon is your best bet. Search for Diamond Dot and you'll find a pack of 4 at a great price in round which will be good to start with. :) I hope that helps. sending hugs your way.
i really love your video's. I'm defintely not a beginner anymore but even this video I enjoy watching. Your voice and accent are so relaxing for me to listen to while diamond painting. So yes I watch a lot of your video's! I especially love the ones that are mainly about painting, not that i'm not interested in your live but due to personal issues it's a bit heavy for me to listen to all the personal story's during a wip and chat. So for now I skip them, not because i don't want to know about your life, but because there's no room in my head for it🙈🤫. But i really love your work, so please keep adding video's😁
Laura, thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I try not to mention personal life too much in my videos as it's the diamond painting that matters. Snippets might come out now and then but it's mainly about the painting. It's nice to know that this is what people like too.
I second all of this. I found Rebecca when I first started diamond painting and I go back to her channel when I need tips or just want something soothing to listen to.
It depends on the company. Some do let you know the DMC equivalent. Alternatively, I have some videos on how I've matched those with no DMC numbers here: addmorezest.com/diamondpainting/dmc
Thank you very much for your informative videos. I just received my first DP and I already noticed that the packaging can be an issue with some sellers. This one was in cellophane packaging that you had to cut open individually, very time consuming. How can I determine before ordering how the packaging will be?
If you want something easy to start with go for not too busy an image in say a 30x40 size. This will allow you to still see the detail, but not feel as though it has taken too long to finish and see what you've accomplished. I have recently done and unboxing of some small paintings, that still look good, so that maybe a place to start. ruclips.net/video/WqxtjHR7D6c/видео.html
I got a canvas [only my 6th canvas] that has symbols on canvas but not in the key guide on side??? So have blotches on my wild bear with salmon fish painting you don't know for sure what to do with... this is just all messed up....
I made the mistake of putting wax paper on my glue replacing the plastic film and feel I have ruined it. I got those non sticky release papers to replace but seems some of m diamonds are not sticking so well. Is this piece a lost cause and just get another project as this was one from amazon so did not spend much for it or is there a way to recover this and get the glue to stick better
You could try ‘ cleaning’ and remaining residue with a damp cloth or baby wipe. Leave to dry and see if it gets sticky again. Or if it’s only a few diamonds put a bit of PVA glue down to stick them.
please tell me if anyone has bought a diamond painting from noon and if you have any reviews or anything to say about it please reply to this comment. Thank you.

Good vid. I do very small bits. 4 placer is my friend. Trying different tools may help but you don't have to buy everything.
Very true!
Very helpful video!! Thank you so much.
You are so welcome!

I don't like using the multi placer
This really help a lot for my first painting

I have my spares just saved in a tub. I’ve not decided yet if to use them for another project or colour match them.
I wanna hear about the fairy moss garden!! My mom just started a moss garden
Very good teacher! 😊

Can you show how to get your painting canvas ready for framing when your painting is finished
I’ve got a few videos on framing here: 4kidsat147.com/diamondpainting/framing
When you're working with diamond gems that are not DMC numbers is there a way to convert them over so you can file them with your DMC numbers
It depends on the company. Some do let you know the DMC equivalent. Alternatively, I have some videos on how I've matched those with no DMC numbers here: addmorezest.com/diamondpainting/dmc

you could possibly message the seller to ask before purchase.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
what do you use to judge an easy picture to start with like small or not too many colors?
If you want something easy to start with go for not too busy an image in say a 30x40 size. This will allow you to still see the detail, but not feel as though it has taken too long to finish and see what you've accomplished.

I’d get in touch with the seller.
Do you seal your finished pieces?
I seal ones that are going to get handled a lot, but not ones that get framed.
My drills keep sticking to the tray and not sliding???
This may depend on the tray that you have.
😁
