- Hi, today i am going to #UpgradeSSD on #AsusTUF #Gaming FX504G.
This Asus model one of the great innovation from Asus but one thing they left behind with this model. Although it has a great hardware design and fair strong hardware configuration they supplied this laptop with 2.5" SATA HDD instead of M.2 OR nVME SSD. However, they kept the space and facilities to upgrade on it. So let's do it.

I did that now i have the exact laptop with 1tb ssd
Hi! I have the ASUS FX504GD-ES51 model. Are they somewhat the same with the model you are showing in the video? My laptop has hard disk failure and I have approached a lot of shops in terms of repair services but all of their prices are really expensive. So i wanted to try and fix it hdd problem on my own by buying my own SSD and adding it on my own and follow the steps you have shown here. I really need help
Hey, I own this one but my configuration is little different. I already have 128gb nvme SSD and 1tb hdd.
I'm thinking of making an upgrade to ssd. Will it be possible to replace this nvme with WD SN850 1TB (will it work fine)?
i am thinking of doing exact the same procedure. Will it increase laptop performance and is 240 gb sdd enough ?
Can you make a Vedio on how to replace graphics card
Do you think is possible change the memory ram of 8gb for another one? like a 16gb. Because this notebook come with 1TB HD.
Yes, you could, but I would suggest you to replace the HDD to SSD. It would be faster that you expected. Thanks
Can you provide a link to the SSD in this video?
I'd like to expand my storage/memory but don't wanna end up buying the wrong SSD at Amazon or Best Buy.
Tip: dont buy an ssd off of amazon its full of scams
I have the exact same model and its constantly running at 100% disc usage, would this be a solution to the problem or would I be just tossing money away?
@joshdubik3198 This my exact problem that I am having now
Did you replace the HDD or just add an ssd?
he replaced it
For fx504G
The main slot is m.2
And the second slot is 2.5" is it
One slot has 1TB HDD (+6gb ssd)so that's called an sshd ( solid-state hybrid drive) and the other one has 128 GB SSD I guess you can replace the one in m.2 slot with higher space ssd but the other one doesn't support ssd.
@@siddharthchampia5674 I have dame laptop with hybrid hard drive but no ssd
I was wondering if my laptop supports m. 2 Nvme format
@@khamandhoklaa yes it does
There must be a empty slot for ssd
I currently have an M2 SSD installed and the 2.5" slot is available. I plan to add a 2.5" SATA SSD but do I still need to clone?
Clone about what? The system or personnel files ?
Can it also be coupled with an M.2 drive?
Unfortunately not. you can put only one M.2 and 1 2.5 inch sata ssd .
@@thepcphone Ok, because I understand that putting an M.2 disk cancels the sata ssd, but mechanical disks suffer the same since they are not an SSD. I would greatly appreciate his response.
You changed the hdd not ssd 🤨
Right!
that is not an HDD, that called SATA SSD. The one next to it called nvme ssd.
@@ducminh7568 what? He already answered and said yes
