THIS IS EXACTLY THE REASON WHY I DESPISE MOVIES THAT USE CGI AND DIGITAL STUNT WORK! I like to sit in the theater an know what I'm seeing is REAL, that it was filmed just the way I see it!
I don't mind CGI when it's used properly. It's a tool, not the be all end all solution to everything. So many movies just throw CGI at it. CGI replacing stuff in the background, or extending physical sets, etc. That's run of the mill and fine. Been rotoscoping stuff that way for a century or more. But fully CGI sequences with next to nothing real? Yes... that's a problem. They're getting really good at it, but still, I like some real in there.
The Dark Knight had close to 1000 CGI shots. It's about budget and time more than anything. Some things, like flying a helicopter, are almost impossible to fake without the light rig from the film Gravity. The lighting just changes too drastically from second to second. Hell, even a film like Logan proclaims in its script ,"This is not your average CGI fest action film." Yet it has FULL CGI SHOTS of Hugh Jackman driving a car and running through the forest dismembering bad guys. CG isn't the problem.
Without a space suit, just the one breath in his lungs. Oh, and on the way down he has to defuse some kind of warhead. While being attacked by remote control death satellites.

Without a doubt THE premier action star of all time. The tension in the theatre during these scenes was palpable, with many a gasp! Already looking forward to the next installment in number 7 - but hopefully without so many risks. Cruise has already proven himself many times over!
That's y I am a fan of Tom and this series. These stunts are jaw dropping. He is so dedicated towards his role and stunts and that's what makes it too good.

Without a doubt THE premier action star of all time. The tension in the theatre during these scenes was palpable, with many a gasp! Already looking forward to the next installment in number 7 - but hopefully without so many risks. Cruise has already proven himself many times over!
Wanna see Jackie Chan and Tom cruise together in a movie
Divyanshu kohli YES!!! Been wanting to see that myself.
i've just said this ! can you imagine if they met in the 90s ? but now jackie is more into drama then action.
Divyanshu kohli Bring Jackie on MI7..We not see yet JC being a mafia boss..its gonna be epic but its still gonna be epic if JC in Ethan Hunt team
Mission Impossible = documentary about Tom´s life.
Literally the last action hero!
That's y I am a fan of Tom and this series. These stunts are jaw dropping. He is so dedicated towards his role and stunts and that's what makes it too good.
This is really awesome man
That is why that man is a real legend and why I will watch every single movie he's in
That's why he's TOM CRUISE
