The third plug enemy, he looks like the original video connector to old tube TVs. The ones that attach to screws with fork prongs. Back before TVs had the screw on cable adapter.

One thing I'd like to point out, is that the Red and Green shell attacks are likely the same as they were in Dream Team. In this, you mention that they likely work differently because they kick it back and forth to build power. However, in Dream Team, it bounced off the enemy until the penultimate kick, in which it would be kicked to the other bro, who then does the final strike. I think that's what's happening here.
Also, it seems like defending with your hammer is now a single button press, instead of holding and releasing the button.
I think thatvhammer diffense comes from the remate of super star saga
No, actually, luigi looks like to have the pose when younoress the button and the realise cuz mario has his Hammer a lot lower, and after hittim the enemy, luigis gets hus lower too and the it raises like if the player pressed the button again
The previous shell kick doesn't look like it's coming from the enemy, but rather than where mario would pteviously be though
For just a couple of frames at 15:49 you can see the button prompt for the hammer defense with an arrow pointing down on the button, whcih is different from the prompt that shows up for the jump dodge, which indicates that the button has to be held down.

Brothership is the perfect adaptation of Mario and Luigi's original 2D Sprites. It's really gorgeous.
with all this electricity theming, I wonder if it’ll tie into Luigi’s ability to use thunder like he did in superstar saga, that would be kinda cool.

4:29 their attack against the purple spike blob reminds me of the ADVANCE moves too! So that could support that theory! Would explain the glowing hands in the intro too…
The interactable red and white statue, that needs the red berry, around 16:20 reminds me of the statues in Superstar Saga that had to be sprayed with water in the Hoo Hoo Mountains part of the game. Maybe there are more of them than 2?
Absolutely love how Nintendo went with the art style from the older Mario & Luigi games for the animation for this game! Absolutely marked as one of the most beautiful animations for a Super Mario game in my opinion.❤️💚

1:51 you have a good point. Peach hasn’t been kidnapped yet. But she will get captured at some point in the game and once we rescue her, she’ll definitely help us out.
The extension corp floating enemy is actually those old analogic tv connectors that required us to use two screws to attach them to the tv. An Atari, Master System and maybe NES would use those to get the image and sound to the TV.
Could find some old of those for the name "UHF VHF tv matching transformer", or something similar.
The animations are incredible, I didnt expect something on this caliber for a new MArio and Luigi
It's still a mystery who's working on this, but whoever it is, they're doing a fantastic job so far.

I think the Extension Corps were based off of the Best Fitness Friends from Bowser Jr’s Journey because there’s a skinny one, a big one, and a smaller one that flys
One thing I noticed in the art showing the ship island, in the background there are a few islands which we will likely visit. And on top of these we can see lighthouses. Combined with the lightbulb on top of our ship, I think we are going to have to get to those lighthouses and power the the ship.
So...something like how you needed the grand stars to power Rosalina's observatory from Mario Galaxy 2?

I think that the jumping and hammer attacks that are shown in the trailer are still bros moves, back in superstar saga, they were a lot like that. I believe this is how it's gonna go, there's gonna be two sets of bros moves ones that use BP and others that you buy like in partners in time.

Id accept the toads that are characters (Red toad, Captain Toad who is supposedly different, toadette, yellow and blue count although they never exist outside the platformers) popping up but yeah its good that generic toad isn't every npc.
I think the whole reason why its themed on electrical plugs and what not is a double meaning for what you'll be doing and for connection between the bros.

This "other form of currency" looks identical to what im gonna call the brothership energy that opened up the portal in the intro, maybe this is earnt after battles that you used a bros move in, or after specific battles, or general battles at all. Something involving them doing stuff together must generate it. Having it stored as a currency though... Rules out the possibility of it being what opens the portal up to back home.
Maybe it lets you upgrade the cannon if you collect enough currency. To go to further islands or even back home.
Idk if alternative costumes would be possible but if they were, here's an idea:
New Costumes:
"Creative Exercise" (Mario and Luigi's Hats and Outfits are covered in Paint)
"Swapped Bros" (Luigi has Mario's Color Pallette and Mario has Luigi's Color Pallette)
"Aye Aye Captain!" (Pirate Costumes for the Bros)
"Old School" (Mario and Luigi's Shirt and Overall Colors are swapped)
"Very Old School" (Mario and Luigi have their SMB Outfits)
Maybe from a Outfit shop and can be equipped from the menu, again I don't know but I'M STILL HYPED
Excellent analysis, here in Mexico a certain electrical input is known as "Switch", without a doubt the game also refers to the console. Mario & Luigi is a saga that will have more and more games

13:28 I bet that the two yellow outlets at the bottom of the battle screen are this game's equivalent of the Badges in BiS and DT and the Battle cards in PJ. Perhaps you can connect them with a cable as they move closer to each other to get some effect out of them. BiS also hat a Command Block tied to the badges, so that 6th block might be just that.
According to the website, the Green Shell seems to attack multiple enemies while the Red Shell focuses on one. Dream Team did a similar thing, where you targeted a single enemy with the Red Shell and all enemies with the Green one, though the Red shell would still hit multiple enemies if there was another one in the way or the original target was defeated. I think that now in Brothership, the Red Shell will only hit one time with that big hit at the end, while the Green one might still hit enemies after each kick.
The high five from the Bros. that they seemingly do at the start of a Bros. Attack reads very similarly to the wave they do at each other when performing Splash Bros. or Bounce Bros. in Superstar Saga (and Swing Bros. and Thunder Bros. in the remake).
This gives me hope that the final boss will be purely new and not Bowser taking over somehow. Granted, it's not a bad thing, Dream Teams' final boss was pretty dang cool! But it'd be a nice to see either way.
You think it would be so cool if Bowser wasn’t always the serious villain in the end like in the other ones. Maybe for a change of pace.
I kind of feel that Bowser in this game while like always be causing trouble, he will overall serve as more of a nuisance than a threat that Mario and Luigi will likely have to fight, but he will be put in the sidelines in favour for the Extension Corps, who like other original RPG villains are a greater threat as they want more than just to kidnap Peach.
Or maybe for a miracle would be. What if Peach herself does not get kidnapped for once.
I think it's kinda cool how Bowser is consistently shown to be the most powerful thing in the Mario universe, so the best thing a villain can do is posess him.

the jump and hammer attacks are probably advance attacks like what we see in superstar saga, because the attacks first look like a normal attack until the other brother comes in and gives them a boost

It’s worth noting that the Japanese word for “outlet” is konsento. That is likely the origin of Con- in Concord and Connie.
It’s an outlet and electricity themed world
Also could stem from the english word "connect", which is what outlets and cords do.

Its probably just some rando devs inside Nintendo that just took the opportunity to make an new brothers game,theres no need for an new studio for that im sure
If I'd take a guess, it's probably the Alpha Dream developers Nintendo hired to work with them.
@@Cookieman245YOFrom what I can tell based on other people’s speculations: It seems Nintendo bought some of the Staff and developers from Alphadream just before they were shutdown and that’s how they’re still making the series. They might go under a new name now.

i believe the red block and outlet ui are supposed to be returns for the badge system, i only know how it was used in dream team, (it was the only one i played, but i love the series), but given that this game does not have a touchscreen, i beleive that the outlet is supposed to tell you your badge progress, and the block is supposed to activate the badge
hopefully this will be the first game to have multiplayer. it just seems fitting to play this with a brother :]

11:03 This was in Superstar Saga. After using a Bros attack enough times, or maybe it's defeating enough enemies with the move, you get that "!" Moment which signals an "evolution" to the attack.
If Connie's top is a hat, it's definitely cooler than most, considering one of the yellow prongs moves up to give room for her hand when she's waving

I think it's just the art style from the original 2D games, but 3D. Unlike the later entries in the series that changed the art style for some reason when they moved to 3D models.
I think Kevin got way better at voicing Mario maybe the voice sound very similar to Charles voice maybe they are sound files or new lines
