I think it was the first time I saw a BL Vietnamese movie and I liked it so much. With nice actors, good script and happy ending.
Although the movie focuses on the romance between van and Ian and their dealings with traditional family values, but it also shows the relationship between family members and has funny scenes and the story warms your heart.

Plot Summary (from IMDb) :
Van, the heir of a Vietnamese clan, returns home from the US the first time in 9 years for the move of his father's tomb. The whole family is surprised upon finding him going with a young Vietnamese American named Ian. No one knows Ian is Van's boyfriend and they plan to come out to Van's widowed mother Mrs. Hanh, who expects him to get married and have kids to fulfill the heir's duties. To top it all, his grandmother, who has senile dementia, mistakes Ian for her grandson. While struggling to find the perfect occasion to come out, Van finds out instead that Mrs. Hanh is seriously ill.

Just seen the movie on amazon prime and gotta say it’s such a bless to see that the two didn’t end up splitting. Two amazing young actors, especially Ian, his eyes carry a whole world in it when he looks at his loved one. I’m really amazed at scene where the two were dancing in slow music, looking into each other’s eyes and you can see that they are so fell for one another. I enjoyed it, loved it, and would rewatch it again sometimes in the future. Oh yeh, I live the granny and the mom so much, both are such great persons, they loved Nau and want the best for him. Even this isn’t a bad ending, but I wouldn’t say it’s a happy ending either, it’s kinda sad tho.

Green Dragon hmmm idk how to describe it, the two didnt end up splitting but it is sad, watching them crying at the airport after saying goodbye to Vietnam, to his mom and this place; this is sad, or watching their mom crying after saying goodbye to her son and his lover at the airport, knowing she wont be seeing them anytime soon, and there is so much she has to face from now on, the pressure and the people because her son is gay. There is so much for them to bare, no matter in Vietnam or in the US. I wouldnt say it is a happy ending, not a bad ending either, its an open ending for them, No one knows what would happen in the future, so wish them live the best live they have chosen.
@@AM-ry4px u are right, also his mom getting old and have health issue and he cant be there for her, this film is not just abt BL, its also intertwined with family love and care, the producer made it like that so ppl can see LGBT are just ppl like us
This is an INCREDIBLE movie! I loved every minute of it!
AHHHHH this is one of the most beautiful movies I have seen recently--it is just so tender and bittersweet all throughout. The way motherhood and family relations are portrayed is so real and moving, and the couple is beautiful together (the quiet scenes where they just stay close together aghhhh

This movie is so beautiful like so beautiful the cinematography the relationship between the mother and the son the leads chemistry I just love it so much it’s a masterpiece and anyone a part of the community would just relate to it wow no words I love this movie so much

Amazing chemistry between the main actors. Those two are gorgeous.
Granny is my favourite. And mother did the great job. Cause, at the end, regardless of tradition, family, her son's happiness is most important. And Ian is Van's happiness.

I just finished this beautiful movie and somehow it made me feel complete. It's so beautiful yet so heartbreaking. I loved every single minute of it. I wish Van and Ian all the happiness in the world even tho they're just fictional characters ahaha

This bl movie is very unbelievable the actor,actress is everything it has the part of family problem with a bad twist on the second to the last part tho

This is the first and only Vietnamese BL I'd watched fully even though I'm Vietnamese and this is the best BL movie in my list. The cast here is the most powerful cast I've seen so far in Vietnamese movies and they did a very good job, especially Hồng Đào, who portraits the mother. Highly recommend.

Very good work. I like the boys although their world is disturbed by feelings of discomfort. Bon people who have no idea and no understanding of a love that is strong. You start to doubt, but you can't from each other which is also correct. The family must recognize that love is love and not a lie. Already there is a mother who realizes that her child is happy with the love that his heart has chosen.
