The strange thing for me is that some people don't consider this drama as BL.
*BL should not always consider as unrequited love between boys. It can be just Boy×love one sided love!*
*If a boy loves another boy in this drama, isn't that enough to be BL?!! What else do we need?*

I've seen a lot of negative opinions about this drama but I actually enjoyed it (watched the last episode few hours ago). I just wish Jin Sung was bi instead of straight so Tae Wan would actually have at least a small chance of being with him but oh well, we can't ask too much of Korea yet, I guess. Overall, it was a bit frustrating to watch because of Jin Sung's constant lies but I still liked it. P.S. Lee Hak Joo did an amazing job in this drama, I'm looking forward to his future roles.

@@llamarall Exactly, at least Tae Wan thought he's gay when he fell for him. If the roles were reversed and he actually was gay she'd just end up with a broken heart instead of Tae Wan. But oh well, it's a kdrama so I guess the leads had to end up together somehow. I just think it would make more sense if she started falling for him once she found out he's actually straight.

Can we talk about the fact how cute Tae Wan's smile is 🥺
I understand how it can look like the chef had feeling for him but i honestly think it was the guilt and embarrassment making him act like that, he really did love him as a friend and i think that's what makes it even worse for him bc he knew he was lying and that he was going to break taewan's heart and hurt him. Honestly the most heartbreaking part was when he decided to come out to his colleagues bc being in love with the chef and seeing him be out gave him courage only for the chef to confess he was lying, you can really see how apologetic the chef was and how desperate too bc he thought taewan was going to ruin his life and career by coming out bc of him and his lies and i think that worry and fear really does come from a place of love, but as friends. I think the show did a really good job with taewan's character development and even if he didnt end up with the chef i think its really sweet and beautiful how through loving him he came to accept himself, it was very bittersweet but realistic and i liked that

I feel completely in love with all the characters of this drama, the bittersweet taste of this ship left me feeling so excited for what will happen next and the analogy in the story that the majority seems to have fail to understand is just uhh!! I love it.

Series with delicate and sweet moments, and a lot of inner conflict, but it was amazing how each characters carried their blame for a desperate attitude by the chef. Jung Il Woo as Chef Jin sung was impeccable, because it's also his job to cook, but his facial expressions are strong and sensitive at the same time. For me, it was a show !! And Tae Wan stood out a lot throughout the plot and the actor deserves all the praise! I loved the series and deserved a second season !!

Good god. I stopped this vid because I was already crying, then watched the last 45 seconds and cried AGAIN. Unfortunately, in spite of what I've learned in the comments below, I am going to have to watch this just for the sake of witnessing some spectacular acting. I will start with a fresh roll of paper towels. These guys are amazing. I know nothing of either character yet already care deeply for both of them.

Already tearing up found their story heartbreaking a one sided love is always hard to cope with and Tae wan is the sweetest character very misunderstood.
My first love was one sided. I’d see her with other people romantically and feel hurt. She’d talk about liking them and I’d cheer her on. Those relationships didn’t work out. She moved away and I couldn’t take feeling hurt anymore so I let her go as she did to me. I know she’s happy as I try to be. I may never find another love, that’s okay. Knowing she’s doing well or that she gets through her tough times is all I need. Ah seeing this I couldn’t help but cry a little and miss her.
I have never felt like this sad..that to watching BL..i never knew about this drama...both actors were awesome..Thanks for the video..

This was beautiful, if heart-wrenching, and you used one of my current favourite songs.
I was waiting for this to wrap up before I watched it. Since it's a K-drama and JIW is the lead, I didn't expect a *real* BL but I'm glad to see that they at least had a fully fleshed out storyline for the gay character and like you said, just because they didn't end up together doesn't mean it was a bad ending. The journey was important as it helped him grow and sometimes that is enough. Now he can pursue a true 'happy ending' with someone else.

The thing that I hated about this drama was when he told hime "to keep hiding it" when he probably doesn't know how hard it is to finally understand who you are and being told that by the person you like and someone who you thought was like you is the complete opposite is probably very hurtful and even till the end he still helps him thats why I didnt like the character Jin Sung and I felt bad for Tae Wan don't get me wrong both actors were amazing I just thought I hated the girl character and Jin sung and that is just my opinion
But then Jin Sung also said “just like how I did”... so he told Tae Wan to hide it like how he did. That’s where I suspect Jin Sung is actually gay and kinda attracted to Tae Wan.
but then Jin Sung is too scared to lose everything else so he hide himself and now told Tae Wan to hide just like him....

Oh my god, he was a popular evil abusive boyfriend in amazing, never thought he was in this kind of drama...what a versatile actor he is 🥰😘😍
You need to watch the drama it's so great, especially touching this side of things in Korea were still has a lot of haters, the one who make the story did a good job not to have the same thing that happened in other kdrama, from how the person that was in closet feel and the process that take to have confidence in himself and lastly accepted it, Jin sung here was like a guide, a friend, a lover who get him experience for the first time being loved & cared for, the things Tae wan was searching from his father.
After him meeting Jisung he became more cheerful and open to talk with others staff.
Also I love how this role is totally Vs his role on the other drama omg 😱 he did 180° tour lol how he can be Soo cute here 🥰😍 and a jerk in the other it's like a totally different person ooooh myyyy

Heyyyy I didn’t watch this drama and I don’t think I’m going to just because sad endings stick with me for weeks BUT I’m so freaking happy to see more and more dramas and movies whith LGBTQ 🏳️🌈 coverage in them!!! I’m proud of Korea for opening up more and more even if it ends this way it still has a huge impact!! Normalization of LGBTQ folks especially in Asia is so important and media such as this plays such an important role!🥰❤️🏳️🌈🙈 I sincerely hope there will be more to come from Korea in the future as the acting over there is crazy good (that’s just my personal observation tho).

I have bad news...Yes there was a lady in there😭 Although I didn't hate the girl but her presence was annoying. She was the one who came with the idea of gay_chef cooking program. So why on earth she falls in love with the chef who has announced he is gay!?! Doesn't make sense😞
