I know this ain't bl but this is how a really good bl should look like. There's chemistry and tension and excitement without any intimate scenes.
I think it's because a lot of bl dramas/films use amateur actors, some of whom are probably still very new to acting. Not to mention that most bl just focus on...well .. bl while scarifying actual plot (like nothing is happening except for two guys falling in love).
I wish we have more of a diversity in the genre, rather than fluffy romance or tragic romance - like adventure, fantasy, mystery, horror, thriller, human drama, etc - with the two main characters happen to be males and falling in love through the course of the story.
@@mahogara I can't even explain how much I agree with this. so many writers need to think about that instead of "let's just add more skinship, cliches and plot holes, nobody cares anyway"
@@hel2727 a lot of famous Chinese bls do have additional storylines and plots outside of two main characters falling in love. But then we are cursed with china censorship and everything turns into really really strong bromance.
With how Thai, Korea and Japan are a little bit more open, I wish we could have a bit more.
I mean even the western LGBTQ+ media is almost always about coming of age, coming out, falling in love..etc. Yes, those are important but for every heteronomative coming of age,romance stories, there are equal amounts of other stories featuring heterosexual couple. Why can't we have that too? Imagine a show like x files with a male lead and a male love interest?
Sure, there are books, mangas,fanfictions and webtoons but wouldn't it be great to see it on screen too?

@@hel2727 oh yeah "nobody cares anyway" is sooo true. I've seen so many comments here "oh it's not a bl I'm not watching" and so on under many different series vids. People just don't care about plot, chemistry or relationship development. They just want to see the characters in bed together doing stuff. So what's the point of wasting time for plot if you just can skip that part. Or just put 5 weird sh1t and it's gonna be a hit (ex. cheating, humiliation, kidnapping, r@pe, ab*se). Basically a list of most popular manhuas/hwas all have these without any plot whatsoever. If any of them gets adapted I'm losing my hope in humanity.
HELLOOOO???!!!! The writers and the actors fully understood the chemistry and the tension between these two hello? Like the matching tux, the random throat grabs, the literal portrayal of a happy married couple with their annoying teenage daughter, the sextuple tension between them that you could live cut with a knife? You guys, it doesn't get more lovey dovey then that. Amazing edit, 10 stars magnificent, love love loveeeee!!!

I picked it up coz the storyline was compelling. And m a sucker for dystopian settings. But from interaction 1, the leads had such sexual tension that just continued throught the show. *Spoiler* and i find it telling that Gaon moved along after Soo Yuna's death but was ready to die when he thought Yohan was dead, i mean come on!

The chemistry they have is a god-tier, I am a fan of Js, I watched almost all of his work, and never once doubted his skill of acting, but this one.. this one is just on another level.

But Ji Sung ... he's in a class by himself. All that talent wrapped up in THAT face and physique.
His physical beauty is timeless. If he's aging ... he's aging like a well loved fine wine.
Really hope he will do a romcom series ... he was outstanding in Whatcha Wearing. But that was a movie, not a series. The FL was breathtaking.
If it would have actually crossed that line into an actual bl it would have been the number one in my book. The actors are so good I dunno if they would have been able to a kiss scene well but they certainly were good at bringing tension between the two of them

Believe it or not, the reason I binge watching this on Friday and ended it yesterday because some RUclips recommendation of Yohan and Gaon. Their bromance is the element that pull me in and.. I even downloaded iqiyi app to watch it. My last kdrama was King the Eternal monarch... The one where LMH in it. Since then it was cdrama for me.

One of my favourite songs that I love to see used in BL edits. This was great. I don't think *those* scenes were absolutely necessary because their chemistry is already insane and suggestive but I fully support artistic freedom.

Esta novela tiene mucha tensión entre los protagonistas y aquí logró poner todas esas sensaciones en cada clip, además la forma en que utilizó esos clip adicionales son verdaderamente una joya, porque ha tenido el cuidado de buscarlos y agregarlos con los mismos detalles que hay en la escena, como el diseño del tapis detras de Jingyoung y el tatuaje en la espalda del personaje de Kim Gaon.

It was so strange chain of events 😂 i red a story, it has a little part from the song of Florence, i decided to listen to full version, went on RUclips, open your video i dont know even why 😂 it looks interesting, after i watched your long vid with discussion - didnt understand anything, becouse of it went to this dorama. I wasnt intrested in plot twis or etc, just saw high rating. The video cant get me off and the same day i started watching the devil judge. And now i can say that i didn't see something so interesting for a long time. Devil judge is the best of all i watched recently. And it is definition that true crime and violence are not into a lot of blood, it growth in our hearts. That's all

By tge way i didnt see chemical between main characters before 13 or 14 episode at all. Becouse one of main characters had very good friend, girlfriend and she was really great and he really loves her so much. Also i think i know why genres has "fantastic". In my opinoin the main judge's survival is really unreal something. But i like to think that such genius people like him exists:) thank you for being part of my deliberate accident of finding the masterpiece ❤
