If you want a light weighted but still emotionally drama you should definitely check "I hear the sunspot" it a jbl drama... You'll gonna love the plot ❤
I love this series. It was still one of the most intense emotionally. Love isn't always pretty it sometimes takes a while to understand itself and mature. I love these two actors as well, they are significantly better than many on the thai bl scene.
I have to admin. Thai drama isn't normal an emotional ride for me but watching this madr me want to cry out of sadness and happiness. I will 100% watch this when I have time
I liked the video, and here's my opinion on Ming I liked that he still felt like the same person. He was still an asshole, still rough around the edges. Still who he was at the beginning of the show, but he learned what he truly values out of life. Joe didn't magically change him, but he did change his perspective. Also, to quote Ming himself "I don't like people". Which says a lot Ming's nature, he's too blunt and private. He won't be nice to everyone. If he doesn't like you, he doesn't like you. That's just how he is. However, his nicer and vulnerable side is only shown to people he cares about, which is his sister, and now Joe. I distinctly recall a comment Joe made about Ming not liking flattery. I'm referring to episode 5, it was small moment but it proved me that Ming have shared a lot of himself to Joe. Sadly, we didn't get too see more of it. Overall I feel like I'm the only who was satisfied with the ending.
I agree. He was an ass so he might as well still be an ass. But he changed a lot for Joe. People don't change overnight. So it might take some time for him to change. Honestly, I don't like him and I only watch this series for Joe. Poom is a Taurus and I am a Taurus and my instinct is telling me that I really need to look after him. I kept feeling like he is my son cus he might get snatched by the sociopath Ming. I do like Poom's face and voice. His eyes are so beautiful and his nose is so prominent, and his eyebrows are just perfect. He is good at crying too. So yeah. I got a bias for Poom! Thats the only reason I kept watching the show. But I don't like the fact that Tong got away scot free. But at the end of the day, Ming have the reason to fall in low with Joe. So, it does add up unlike other bl series in which there is no reason for the top to fall in love with the bottom.

Once it becomes so familiar that it almost feels weirdly comforting, . That when you suddenly feel happy, it just scares you. It's like you need to quickly set it on fire. In that sense I can understand Ming when he says "I don't deserve being happy". I think Up does well in portraying such a complicated character. Not that I'm excusing him but that I can definitively understand him. Which is two entirely different things.
I was also satisfied with the ending and mostly I agree with your opinion of Ming. In my opinion the only change Ming had throughout the show was that he fell (obsessively) in love with Joe. He's still the same person who doesn't like people, rude, selfish, unscrupulous, capable of doing anything to get what he wants, the difference is that he truly fell in love with Joe. Besides a few people in his family, the only person he's good with is Joe, but only as long as he's with Joe. He doesn't mind hurting and disrespecting Joe's own boundaries to get Joe to be with him, as he did many times in episode 9. I think that's what the show wanted to tell and honestly I think that's all right. Joe himself accepts Ming just the way he is and never wanted Ming to be perfect, he just wanted Ming to love him back. Having Ming's love is enough for him, and Joe is kind and good enough for both of them. Ming in the end is not such a complex character, he is what he is, he really loves Joe, I truly believe that he's going to be really good to Joe now and that they are going to me together for a long time, and Ming eventually might become a better person, who knows.

I personally think it will do him good, Up takes him out on adventures and out of his comfort sometime, but he feeds him good afterwards. Poom probably paces sagitarius(Up) adventure craziness. Also for me, Ming is a bloody Scorpio for sure.
A testament to how lovely this series is is that the videos have comments in so many languages. From all of Americas, north to south, from the russian speaking world, from all over Asia including Arabic, India, etc. They really really became world famous in the "ladies who ship guys" communities for a spectacular and sensitive portrayal of messy complicated love and second opportunities.
Gosh, my heart is still not over them! The last episode was a little to soft, but this series had me in a choke hold! Both actors are amazing and I could not look away!

However, believe me, just hang in there, fight it out and you will get through it. We often underestimate ourselves and only realize our capabilities when the situation arises. Lovely edit❤ This series has all my love. Probably because it is so well made and actors portrayed the characters so well. I am in love with Poom's acting. He is a natural. Many didn't like last two episodes or had some complaints. I think two more episodes and omitting the Tong forgiveness part would have been better. Nonetheless it is a great show and the hardwork they put in is clearly evident in every scene. Worth a watch!

Girl, it's been a while that I watched any of your edits. I started a new job and didn't have much time to watch any dramas. As much as I love your edits, I didn't want to see any spoilers for shows I hadn't watched yet. But it's good to be back! This edit reminds me why I enjoy them so much. The 17 minutes just flew by and I was humming along the whole time. I had my problems with this show, mostly with the relationship being toxic af! And I was expecting a bit more out of the fantasy element in the end. But it was still entertaining to watch and your edit is a good recap of the best moments. ❤

I really hope to see him again soon.

Why else would I watch lakorns, right? 😂 But jokes aside, I need some backstory to explain why the characters behave the way they do. I wanted to see why Ming was such an obsessive asshole and why Joe let himself be treated like shit. But we didn't get to see any of that. So it was hard for me to emphasise with them. Half the time I was thinking: "Oh, please! Just break up already! You would both be better of..." But I still had fun watching. And I am slowly catching up with all the BLs at least. There is sadly not enough time for me to watch everything I want to.

UUUGHH this was the single most frustrating part of the entire show. each episode i was like...ok maybe the next ep they'll explain why ming is a jerk. but nope! he's just a rich spoiled brat who doesn't like ppl and that's it. there was absolutely no reason for him to treat joe like garbage and yet he kept doing it. UGH!! and apparently even in the book they don't bother to go any deeper into his character or even bother with much character development. ming was pretty much as one dimensional as he is in the show. it was really hard to root for them as a couple without having any background. and even in the end i was like...ok they're together...i don't particularly care??? i wasn't dying for that 'happy ending' if Joe walked through that door i would have been just as meh as i was that he didn't ^.^; they definitely dropped the ball on getting my emotions going. all i really felt was heartbroken for joe or angry at ming, and that was about it :/

I could probably guess that the rather cold family he grew up in and his eternal unrequited crush on Tong had something to do with Mings cruelty, but when he hit Joe over the head and chained him up, I was like: "No, sir! You are taking this too far! You are just a psycho right now." 😂 When Joe was unconscious in the hospital at the end and the spirit guide said: "You don't have to be anyone's stand-in anymore.", I was expecting Joe to walk through that door and being transported back just before he dies, so he has to make new decisions with all the knowledge he has now. That I would have found interesting. He could have still decided to be together with Ming, after making him atone for his faults of course. But when he threw himself in front of that bullet for Ming, it was clear what his choice would be. 😑

I will complain forever about how I hate Tong and how Ming's behavior had me going nuts. I can't stand the fact that everyone forgive Tong, even Ming himself. Doesn't Ming afraid of losing Joe the most? But he let Tong who almost made his Joe killed go scot free. And I thought Ming is a sociopath when I first saw him. He is a complicated person, so I think we need more screen time of his povs and his reasons for being a arse. In the book, I feel like he regret more cus his emotions are shown more. Everything is great except Tong and Ming's questionable behaviors. The only reason I stick with the show is to watch my son Joe. He is my fav actor rn!!! The plot, the script, the acting , everything was Fabulous. And i also agree with you. I feel like they rushed the ending. Should have at least 16 eps. Also the Tong thingy was so annoying. Side couples weren't really necessary if they had to get airtime only in the last ep. Overall the series was so good. It's been so long that i got so hooked to an ongoing BL Thai drama. Sad to know that it's your last edit of My Stand in. Nevertheless hopefully we get to see another series of UpPoom. Although Up don't really work with same partner but let's see. Thanks! I actually made a community post about not making an edit for ep 11. I haven’t seen my family in a couple of years and they came to visit so I was off for a week. And yesterday was actually my birthday and I spent 90% of it working on this edit 😅 not exactly how i wanted to spend the day but wanted to get this one done for everyone. The last half of this show really left a lot to be desired for me but it was still enjoyable, even if it fell flat midway and kind of stagnated. UpPoom did an amazing job and I hope they’ll be together again. I was really blown away by Poom! I’m glad you enjoyed my edits and hope we can enjoy another show together sometime! ❤️❤️❤️

I was VERY confused when i first started watching. I couldn't tell if it was the present or a flashback. I only noticed the face change in ep 3 or 4. I feel silly. 😅

I literally put that voice over in the beginning when Joe wakes up in the hospital. That his soul was in a new body. (The show then back tracks to tell you what lead up to his death) 🤷♀️

This is also the first toxic bl show that I watched from start to finish cus I never stick with toxic bl shows. This series has all my love. Probably because it is so well made and actors portrayed the characters so well. I am in love with Poom's acting. He is a natural.
Many didn't like last two episodes or had some complaints. I think two more episodes and omitting the Tong forgiveness part would have been better.
Nonetheless it is a great show and the hardwork they put in is clearly evident in every scene. Worth a watch!

Girl, it's been a while that I watched any of your edits. I started a new job and didn't have much time to watch any dramas. As much as I love your edits, I didn't want to see any spoilers for shows I hadn't watched yet. But it's good to be back! This edit reminds me why I enjoy them so much. The 17 minutes just flew by and I was humming along the whole time. I had my problems with this show, mostly with the relationship being toxic af! And I was expecting a bit more out of the fantasy element in the end. But it was still entertaining to watch and your edit is a good recap of the best moments. ❤

Haha I totally hear you about the show. Me personally I love a good toxic relationship drama show every now and then. But I had a lot higher expectations, plot line wise, and the show really fell apart for me in the last quarter. It was a good show, but kind of failed to deliver the last half 🙁I think the acting was great, and their chemistry was wonderful. I’m absolutely blown away by Poom! I really hope to see him again soon.
@@Jatsuki Oh, believe me, I am a sucker for toxic relationships normally! Why else would I watch lakorns, right? 😂 But jokes aside, I need some backstory to explain why the characters behave the way they do. I wanted to see why Ming was such an obsessive asshole and why Joe let himself be treated like shit. But we didn't get to see any of that. So it was hard for me to emphasise with them. Half the time I was thinking: "Oh, please! Just break up already! You would both be better of..." But I still had fun watching. And I am slowly catching up with all the BLs at least. There is sadly not enough time for me to watch everything I want to.

UUUGHH this was the single most frustrating part of the entire show. each episode i was like...ok maybe the next ep they'll explain why ming is a jerk. but nope! he's just a rich spoiled brat who doesn't like ppl and that's it. there was absolutely no reason for him to treat joe like garbage and yet he kept doing it. UGH!! and apparently even in the book they don't bother to go any deeper into his character or even bother with much character development. ming was pretty much as one dimensional as he is in the show. it was really hard to root for them as a couple without having any background. and even in the end i was like...ok they're together...i don't particularly care??? i wasn't dying for that 'happy ending' if Joe walked through that door i would have been just as meh as i was that he didn't ^.^; they definitely dropped the ball on getting my emotions going. all i really felt was heartbroken for joe or angry at ming, and that was about it :/

I could probably guess that the rather cold family he grew up in and his eternal unrequited crush on Tong had something to do with Mings cruelty, but when he hit Joe over the head and chained him up, I was like: "No, sir! You are taking this too far! You are just a psycho right now." 😂
When Joe was unconscious in the hospital at the end and the spirit guide said: "You don't have to be anyone's stand-in anymore.", I was expecting Joe to walk through that door and being transported back just before he dies, so he has to make new decisions with all the knowledge he has now. That I would have found interesting. He could have still decided to be together with Ming, after making him atone for his faults of course. But when he threw himself in front of that bullet for Ming, it was clear what his choice would be. 😑

I will complain forever about how I hate Tong and how Ming's behavior had me going nuts. I can't stand the fact that everyone forgive Tong, even Ming himself. Doesn't Ming afraid of losing Joe the most? But he let Tong who almost made his Joe killed go scot free. And I thought Ming is a sociopath when I first saw him. He is a complicated person, so I think we need more screen time of his povs and his reasons for being a arse. In the book, I feel like he regret more cus his emotions are shown more. Everything is great except Tong and Ming's questionable behaviors. The only reason I stick with the show is to watch my son Joe. He is my fav actor rn!!! I got his face on my laptop and phone background!

The series was almost perfect. The plot, the script, the acting , everything was Fabulous. And i also agree with you. I feel like they rushed the ending. Should have at least 16 eps. Also the Tong thingy was so annoying. Side couples weren't really necessary if they had to get airtime only in the last ep. Overall the series was so good. It's been so long that i got so hooked to an ongoing BL Thai drama. Sad to know that it's your last edit of My Stand in. Nevertheless hopefully we get to see another series of UpPoom. Although Up don't really work with same partner but let's see. Lastly thanks a lot for making a lot of edits. I will watch them again and again whenever i will miss MingJoe😭🫰❤️
Thanks! I actually made a community post about not making an edit for ep 11. I haven’t seen my family in a couple of years and they came to visit so I was off for a week. And yesterday was actually my birthday and I spent 90% of it working on this edit 😅 not exactly how i wanted to spend the day but wanted to get this one done for everyone. The last half of this show really left a lot to be desired for me but it was still enjoyable, even if it fell flat midway and kind of stagnated. UpPoom did an amazing job and I hope they’ll be together again. I was really blown away by Poom! I’m glad you enjoyed my edits and hope we can enjoy another show together sometime! ❤️❤️❤️

I literally put that voice over in the beginning when Joe wakes up in the hospital. That his soul was in a new body. (The show then back tracks to tell you what lead up to his death) 🤷♀️
