- This video is for people who want to get better at Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Mastering these tracks will help you with general driving and overall technique. Each track has it's own mini tutorial while I explain how to do the complex strats in more detail. Let me know in the comments what your top 10 list is. Am I missing any tracks you struggle with?

Bayesic sent me here 😊... I decided I should learn how to play this game... I don't know how to drift yet so I have to binge watch your videos on anything drifting. Ty in advance ❤
I’ve had a personal grudge against a majority of these tracks but now that I’ve watched this and I’m armed with your knowledge I’m gonna practice these on time trials. Specifically DK Jungle and Mushroom Gorge. Those super bounces were my downfalls.

There’s 3 things here I didn’t know that I can now try to implement online. I haven’t bought the booster pack yet so I can’t try those other techniques unless I’m online, that’s also another way I figured out how to drive the tracks. By videos and Trial and error

I appreciate this, it really does help!! Though I have to say you also may want to probably practice rarely picked tracks (Moonview, my favorite, for example) so when it gets picked you can easily outrun your competition. (Just saying this because I see most of these tracks being some of the most picked in lounge)

Ok but that's basically risking your entire match for a 1/12 or 2/12 chance of a track being picked (FFA and 2v2 are the most played modes in mogis)

You press the drift button once you're in the air
Just like Darkey said press R when you're in the air and you go tight every time
From a timing perspective, look at when your wheels change colour and go into anti grav mode. When this animation starts, press the drift button
a common mistake i ran into was going too tight when trying to drift off. i almost always would either A, bounce too high from the hop and bonk into the wall on the left, or B, get the SMT too late and barely get anywhere near the boost panel. my advice would be to go a little more wide after the last trick, so you have more time to charge the first mt, ensure you wont bonk on the left wall, and will charge the SMT after early, and land near the boost panel

Ribbong Road is actually really hard to learn how to drive, but it is abould 98 percent consistent
insane amount of info, and most of it is "check out the other video for more details"...
it will take me years to practice even half of this stuff!

The Tracks That Will Help You Win In MK8D
I feel like there is a way bigger skill gap in rWS than in bWS
rWS is the track where you can learn almost everything about the game, if you are good at rWS you are good at the game in general
there is a lot to learn in bWS and it's hard to do the nisc perfectly without losing speed every times but I feel like it's easier to learn
I'm a Silver II/Gold I lounge player and I feel like I've still a lot more to learn on rWS than on bWS
I still can't do the umt at the begging of the lap and the mt trick after, I feel like you have to have perfect soft drift to do that I'm still struggling
Some better players have a better time shroomless than me with shrooms, it shows how big the skill gap is on this track
rws has been the benchmark for running for so long that a lot more people understand it better than bws at this point of the game's life. as a kinda high div player i think i mess up and have to work on bws a lot more personally, but everyone is different of course
btw dont worry about 1st turn umt on rws it really doesnt matter lol only for tts or if you have space
@@bobbirino to be fair I've been playing for around a bit less than 1 year competitively, I didn't have the knowledge everyone else had on rWS at that time so I've a different experience on how much I need to work on the track
With wave 6 being released, would DK Mountain be added to this list? Or is just knowing the fast shortcut enough
I would say no, that and the mountain section are both fairly simple with practice, the other tracks on this list are much better tracks to learn. I would say no wave 6 would make this list

if you mean going left instead of taking glider then yes, don't go left in the tree section tho that's very slow

On mushroom gorge gap how do you properly do it with a bullet bill? or is it just janky?
I would not suggest doing gap cut with a bill it is super inconsistent
