Sending Greasus through the rift to the empire and plopping camp over there. Rich territory to plunder, possibility to buddy up with Skrag, only one point to defend from retaliation.
Wow, I started the campaign and just took settlements like a total scrub. Got really confused about where all the units are when I put my first camp down turn 10ish. Big eye opener!
fantastic vid, ive mainly played ogre since launch and i learned a thing or two myself. alternative takes you can go north on turn 1 and take amblepeak to avoid backtracking later. you can save a lot on upkeep if you can make it to your camp to offload your army after every attack. its slightly easier in the early turns with greasus as he gets a hunter hero to improve movement. the gnoblar chief ancillary is a requirement for ogres. i think you increase the chances of getting it by fighting with gnoblars in your armies i dont think sacking the dwarf settlement gives rep in the same way sacking the skaven settlement does. dwarf settlements are also rough to autoresolve after sacking. tyrants make the best recruit engines, they can get skills for +3 recruit rank +1 rec capacity on top of draftmaster and R&F. tyrants can also stack some experience banners, though ive only seen the 2nd one on my skrag campaigns i think camps fighting within range of a camp is paramount to early game ogre success. if you're poor its likely because your not fighting within range of a camp the single best thing for camp growth is the camp foraging tech, which also works in neutral/territory camp units dont regen unless in friendly territory/range of other camps camps give upkeep reduction on their T1, T3 and T4 upkeep building. its better than it looks
Once you get a couple stacks of lead belchers you are set till mid game late game then you need to change some of them out for some higher tier units. LB still dominate field battles at that point but you need Stonehorns to take supply points.
That's an interesting idea, (gifting to make it enemy territory) thanks, could come in handy some time. You CAN always Raid your own province to get a bit of growth, but it's not optimal.
not going quite as planned, greenskin rebels take over the skaven on turn 17. they have a full garrison too much to handle for the 4 lords.i reloaded the auto save and then dwarf rebels spawned and did the same thing. 🤯
Oh dear. You might need to recruit some units! You can try sitting a Lord on top of the settlement in Ambush stance to stop the rebels auto capping it when they spawn.
T3 camp is a great start. The camp mechanics is very interesting. You don't need to capture settlements. Just put a camp and sack it and keep raiding. Very interesting, too bad I dislike the demon soul part of the campaign
Mercy we need an update Ogre's Skarg IE camp video buddy, I'm messing around trying to figure out a way to rush camp growth for tier 3 Leadbelchers/Maneaters and then 5 for Ironblasters. Does this still work for IE Skrag?
I'm sure Legend is gonna throw a fit if he sees you promoting off-meta playstyles, better start an inception job to convince him this was his idea all along!
Haha. It's probably not the most efficient for fast dominations/steam-rolling. BUT camps do take ages to grow normally. I think kickstarting your camp up to Tier 3 at least in only 9 turns is not a bad start.
Hmmm, so I can go raid the vampires to impress Ungrim Ironfist and stack a Ogre army with up to four slayers, or gyrobombers, or iron breakers, or iron drakes, or...muhahaha.
For me she sent multiple shit-stacks that were basically free XP, around turn 40ish onwards. I was thinking about pushing up to wipe out Cathay, but also considering keeping them as a source of free money and XP.... Are you really getting"Doom" stacks or just "Lots" of stacks?
No you can just delete them and rebuild. You should be able to unlock more fairly quickly u to your maximum. Once you have a second developed camp you can safely delete your badly placed one and start again in a new spot. You don't get the money for demolishing your buildings unless you demolish them BEFORE you delete the camp)
@@EerieV23 Yep, or bring new armies form the rear. But I think the intention is that you use global recruiting as you can reduce the recruitment time for Global recruitment.
Really? I feel like most of the reception for it is good, I like the more story and conversation bits added in. Gives more personality to the characters. But hey everyone has their own preferences. Which part do you hate exactly
If they made the first few basic parts more easily skippable/faster and made it so you could optionally just skip through for the story that would be a lot better. Also if it gave you a reward in game if you complete the prologue, that would be good too.

Quick tip or info. If you confed while having all your camps out you get more camps than your limit
So far, I've found that if you hit stuff really hard as the ogres, they tend to die pretty easy

Thank you for this it actually helps a lot with ogres. I was having a hard time wrapping my head around how to grow the camp quickly.
You're very welcome!
I have failed so often with Ogres. This will help me have a better chance. Thanks for your words of wisdom =)

really nice! great job Mecy, this saved me a lot of head aching
Glad it helped!
Great guide Mercy - going to go with this route in my Greasus campaign.
Very nice guide. Looking forward to more!

Yeah good point. Although I think having settlements AS WELL as camps will give you more money overall than raiding? Not 100% sure.
Souls will be changed in a month or so in a new update.

amazing thks!
nps :)
Does the hunter heroes Stimulate Growth work on camps?
Nope, that's for settlements only.
How do I keep my army supplied with meat in the Chaos realms?
You can build up your meat to 300 MAX, so just build it up before you go. Also get the tech that gives your armies 5 meat per turn.
