Thank you for the video Sebastian. The importance of how the GPS cable attaches to the Nikon D800 camera in particular, will only become apparent to those users who have had to replace the 10 pin connector for remote operations when it has been damaged. Both the Solmeta N3-A and the di-GPS Eco Professional M seem to be the ideal solution.

Solmeta Geotagger N3 worked perfectly for me, out of the box on both D750 & D7200. No setup. Coordinates display on one of the playback screens.

Thanks for this. Nikon seriously needs to add built-in GPS (and Wifi) to its DSLRs. The D5200 has it why not the higher-end? Until then I'm looking for a somewhat durable solution for my D600 and you addressed this here. The connectors on the pro cameras seem more durable/usable but the D7000 and D600 series are very vulnerable. Have you tried the Aokatec AK-G GPS receiver?

Dear James, please read the description of the video. This is Part I! It is about the cables and plugs. We never pretended something else. So stay tuned for more to come. This is our 1st video and 10 min are surprising much work when you start! Especially dubbing in English. We work on that.
Please understand and stay tuned ...
Read gps-camera.eu/news/46-wissen/393 for a detailed comparison. German only, yet. Use Google Translate to read in Englsih. Thank you for understanding.

nothing really to do with GPS devices, more to do with the cables they come with. 3 GPS devices compare cables, GPS signal and how it works with the camera / JPEG / RAW files all in under 5 minutes. ... condense and speed up the video delivery IMO.
