Absolute legend, also if you didn’t know, for Aran Ryan, if you give him a 3 star punch when he’s going down, in the middle of him trying to throw the weapon at you, you can instant KO him
with a triple star in contender you can block his headbutt then use the star to KO him (has to be triple, to block the headbutt you have to start holding up at most 12 frames before it hits you, any earlier and he'll hit through you, later and it still works).
I don't know how I never noticed this, but in contender mode against Super Macho Man, there's a bunch of flashing going on from the audience when he's preparing his clothesline attack, but in Title Defense, the audience doesn't do anything when he's preparing his clothesline. It's actually kind of a funny attention to detail.
The audience admired him in contender as shown in his slide show, he lost that admiration when you defeat him, shown by his TD cutscene and reinforced by the lighting manager refusing to shine the spotlight on Macho Man, the flashing in the clothesline attack was outside interference by Macho Man's fans, so when they stopped caring about him they stopped trying to help him by interfering, evident by the fact that the lead up to the attack is faster as SMM knows that there is no point in drawing it out as no one cares. Bumbles Mcfumbles also pointed out that SMM putting on the glasses was a signal for the audience to flash their bulbs to mess with little mac, it's also shown that SMM thinks he's too good for the rules as he literally coldclocks the ref as Mcfumbles described it, so yeah
I love how in Title Defense, it's clear that just throwing out a star punch isn't going to be enough. One-trick ponies have a tendency to use the one trick they know, and every contender knows you can't block a star punch -- only dodge. So they dodge.

52:32 I've never saw TD Soda Popinski failing to have another drop of the bottle, guess that i'll never see it in the PAL version because yes or yes you gonna have to win by TKO or Decision.
The way Great Tiger teleports away when he falls over after getting KO'd in Title Defense makes it look like he dies (he doesn't teleport after falling down in Challenger mode)
The taunt's star timing at 1:29:21 is tricky. You have to hit him just after the taunt starts. For the taunt at 1:31:24, you have to punch him just after he stops speaking.
Fun fact: glass Joe still has his 'Vi la france' IKO (instant knockout) And a New one, 3-star punch the 'Liberté' taunt Edit: also, Nice work on completing tittle defence while only KO'ing your foes! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I actually appreciate how imperfect this run is. I don’t feel so bad for going in and just figuring things out for myself because this dude must be doing the same thing if we both have different methods for beating the same characters. Takes me back to the old Punch Out days when your best friend wasn’t a world beater, he just got further than you did.
Dude, for Glass Joe you only need 4 punches. Hell it's even one of the exhibition challenges. (I'll edit as I watch the video) Von Kaiser will go down if you 3 punch him while stunned. Literally it's an instant knockdown. If he doesn't get knocked out during the second knockdown of a round, get 3 stars and save them for the next round. Every single attack Von Kaiser throws is very easy to dodge. You nailed Disco Kid. For King Hippo all stars are extra valuable, and actually you can just star punch him when his mouth is open after is squash and slam. King Hippo don't get me wrong was definitely the easiest because KO is the only option, I'm just saying it could of been handle more easily than how you did. Piston Hondo can instantly be knocked out if you counter the switch of the switching uppercut with a three star punch.
King Hippo is without a doubt the easiest in this challange if you know what to do, could've served as a breath of fresh air if he came a little later but oh well
i like how Piston Hondo, Mr. Sandman and technically Glass Joe are literally the only ones who are actually playing the exact same game the player is, though Bald Bull technically is too, but he's only playing the exact same game when it comes to his fighting style (assuming his Bull Charge would be legal in actual boxing)
I kind of want to do this in Mike Tyson's Punch Out for the NES. I believe the only opponents that DON'T stay down in that are Bull 1 and Tiger. Could be wrong tho.
I have to admit, as disappointed as I was to see you didn't know some of the OHKO methods here, the way you clutched Bald Bull was amazing. This was probably better than if you did perform the OHKO on him in round 1.
Is it just me or does TD Don Flamencos toupee literally appear out of thin air, it looks to be the same one from his contender but he has less hair than in contender?
Absolute legend, also if you didn’t know, for Aran Ryan, if you give him a 3 star punch when he’s going down, in the middle of him trying to throw the weapon at you, you can instant KO him
