Amazing to think the actress that played Ethel Skinner, Gretchen Franklin, was born in 1911, 109 years ago! And Anna Wing, Lou Beale, 1914, 106 years ago! A world away from our times, 2020. Wow! ☺
Both were useless wittering old bats.. why they had them in this i dont know and worse was that even more wittering old crow dot. But my biggest hate of all, mike reid aka frank butcher. When you hate the character and the actor you know they are pretty bad.. he made a woman move on an easyjet flight once ( yes really ) because he wanted the window seat and when she refused he did that taking off his glasses shit like frank would and said “ i dont think you know who i am lady”… smh

Smith and Robinson were well out of order to run Andy off so quickly. I mean, what kind of disapproving old dinosaurs are they? People have always fucked and had relationships with each other in the workplace. You don't fucking task them on it like they're your unruly people and that get all crabby and power-mad when they snap back at you. Pair of idiots sometimes, those two, and look at the choices they then made for the writers and new producers to keep on doing the show and writing out characters left and right after barely introducing them a year before. It's a wonder it stayed good enough until the year of doom in 2000 or so.
I watched from almost the beginning to about 2005 i think, so pretty similar to you. As much as i fancied Stacey Slater when i was 25 i couldn't stand much else lol.

No it was done as a secret who's the daddy story, in a similar way to who shot Phil Mitchell years later. Michelle on the phone, several possible daddies if i remember rightly Tony, Ali, possibly someone else too were seen leaving just before the time of an agreed meeting with Michelle to dicuss the baby, and of course it was Den.
Was a year old wen this was aired saw it on uk gold years later wen I was still.young cried my eyes out wen Andy was killed he was in an old Scottish soap in the 90s called take the high road filmed 20 mins from me and he kills a young joe McFadden in it who went on to be I. Heart beat and win strictly years later lol and of course Andy went to hollyoaks too
Hello, do you have the episode where "The Banned" (Wicksy/Ian/Sharon etc) do a performance in the Queen Vic - round about this time I think. They perform a rock version of "Venus" and cause a power cut - very funny. Would be great if you could upload it - thanks!
There was a great one which was hilarious when Nick was poisoning Dot, Ethel sent Charlie to have the plate of food tested, but he went in the Vic and someone ate it.
It's a shame that that ball at the end is wobbling about as though it's weighted down with a stone. Totally spoils the effect that they're trying to achieve.
