Thanks for uploading these, don’t know if you are aware but the (UKTV) Drama channel has started showing Classic Eastenders from the start every weekday lunchtime.
I've watched this episode a couple of months ago over on a HDD recorder as it was secretly aired on UKTV channel Drama and they're still repeating these now as right now they're showing episodes with scenes of Den Watts at Dicken Hill's Prison as we might get to nearing Xmas '88 episodes with Den still behind bars at Yuletide and Queenie's first appearance gets an airing this week... 1986 had to be one of the greatest years in EE history in where Den gave Angie a Christmas present she didn't expect as it was one of the most-watched shows of the year as Xmas Day '86 episode was divided up in two parts.
I love watching the older episodes, its great, such a better time for EastEnders. I was born in 95 and watched for as long as I can remember, I didn't watch these episodes when first aired but I have watched as many of the older episodes as I can and its great. the older EastEnders was a better time, I guess everything was.
I loved the episodes where Den was in jail, i think they happened over my 8th birthday, well both sides obviously. I remember obviously Nick, Queenie, Barnsey, Trevor, Jonny, a few others i can picture but can't remember the name of. I guess loving those scenes so much i was destined to fall in love with Prisoner: Cell Block H at 13 lol.
Yes I agree Eastenders was brilliant until around 2001 when alot of old cast left and they brought in too many new characters to cope with and storylines were becoming more unbelievable(Unbelievable stories is what caused Brookside to be cancelled)
Love Eastenders throughout the 80s. Had a huge crush on Susan Tully fresh from Grange Hill. Do you have the episode from 1990 where Mark Todd Carty returns and Frightened Michelle on his Motorbike 🤔
Do you have the full episodes from 12th & 14th August 1986 (the two episodes before this one, including Andy's death) ? They are the only 2 episodes of EastEnders I've never seen.
Yeah and he should have the little brat get steamrollered instead of himself. Look at the pointless and highly unrealistic slag she became to her daughter, but what can you expect as the scriptwriters turned to increased amounts of stupidity regarding characters' so-called fates. Pathetic! You tell the loser producers you want a break from the show, so they do everything they can to give your character shit and ensure you can't come back, while insulting and degrading the viewer at the time. Actors like Sandy Ratcliff (Sue) and even Ross Kemp (Grant) who this concerns, even say so themselves.
@@cstewart8723 Yes, and if you had to interact with the amount of offensive turds online here you'd soon realise it IS the only default, apart from ignoring them, but I don't see why I should let them fire the first shot, the twats! Wow, and are you EVER observant. Have a medal.
Do have very first episodes of East Enders was first episode 19th February 1985 please upload and find them also 21st February 1985 26th and 28th February 1985 plus some more episodes from 5th March 1985 to 31st December 1985 New Year's Eve episode, plus 24th December 1985 Christmas Eve episode and 26th December 1985 Boxing Day episode please.
Finally, a rewatch of Eastenders which yes did give me a lump in the throat in places, to remind me i am a human being and not just a sarcastic bugga. I know my comments often sound insensitive, but they are always intended in a British humour style banter way.
Why don't the BBC change another day and time Tuesdays at 9:45pm Wednesdays at 9:45pm and Fridays double bills and extend the running time but up to 42 minutes instead of Mondays at 8:pm and Tuesdays at 8:35pm and also Thursdays at 8:35pm for the TV programme drama called EastEnders for all time?
Sad to see what EastEnders has become. I can't watch it anymore unbearable. Tried to make it too much like Hollyoaks. I had to laugh when Lou said "It was like that in the war 'course I was still only a baby" She was like 70 and the war was 40 years ago in the 80s making her about 30
Typical nostalgia critic. You only sayng that cos it's in the past. There's people now actively claiming 2013 was a good year for the show. All because of nostalgia. It blinds you. The show is actually very strong atm
@@erosion271No it’s not at all, it’s actually been losing millions of viewers over the years, it’s so bad that it’s having to rely on plots that flash forward a year for shock value I recently watched an episode, the plots are absolutely ridiculous and the acting is atrocious by most of the so-called actors, nothing about the show is real to life anymore

Bill Treacher ( Arthur) looked a lot older than he actually was.
He was 56 in this scene. I think he looked about that, but I kind of know what you mean.
no he doesn't. For the time he looked absolutely fine. It's just medicine has improved and people are aging better
That policeman didn't mess about.
