It's tragic that Kathy and Donna couldn't bond, but all very true to life. Adding to the trauma of Donna being the product of a rape, just because you're related to someone doesn't mean you connect. I love the writing of this episode. Very authentic. Gosh, people were so judgemental during the 1980s, and Cindy lol, just as she is now a hard nosed cow.

Damn, this storyline was probably the best of the 1980s next to the Den & Angie stuff. Donna was disturbed by the trauma of not fitting into where she was adopted, or where her roots were. Today, there'd be more sympathy for her regarding her obvious mental health issues and trauma. She was messed up by discovering she was the product of a rape.
